"We're fine dad, we're all okay. I'm just trying to get everything back to normal." I said, as I held the phone flush to my ear. My other hand stroking my daughters face as we occupied Blaine's office.

"I'm glad Ken, you'll all be fine." My father's voice said through the phone making my head automatically nod, my body trying to reassure myself as I acknowledge his words. My mind still distracted, the hurt in my heart still lingering from my reality of no longer being fertile.

I bit the insides of my cheeks and sighed heavily. "We will be," I began wanting to encourage my thoughts to move on yet reassure my family since the past few weeks all I had seemed to cause them was worry. "So, Blaine and I have decided to have a family gathering so we can finally announce our daughter's name!"

My voice was swelling with excitement, not only to finally share the precious name we decided, but to celebrate the birth of my daughter with my family.

"Of course Kenny," My father chuckled, his laugh sounding through the phone as my daughter began to coo. Her tongue sticking out slightly as she yawned, her bright eyes shining as she held my gaze, I smiled as I remembered the photographs of Blaine's mom Blair, their eyes identical.

"We will all be there, I take it the whole family is invited?"

"Yes! Including the Beta and Third in Command families." I smiled, excited to see them all since I hadn't seen the full family since we visited for the meeting with Pierce when we discovered our daughter's mate Maverick.

When Blaine and I mentioned to Lena that we wanted to have family gathering, she immediately clapped her hands, her face suddenly grinning in joy. She wanted to help organise and I happily agreed as she began rushing out ideas.

Blaine laughed and left me with Lena to plan. We decided we would have a small party this Friday with immediate family only and then celebrate with a pack bbq on Saturday with our whole pack.

"You can arrive for about 5 o'clock dad –"

The door swinging open and smashing against the wall caught me off guard as I stood protectively in front of my daughter, instantly dropping the phone as it scrapped against the wooden floor, hanging on by the cable as it swung back and forth, the phone dangling off of the desk.

"Blaine," I growled as he walked in, his attention elsewhere that he hadn't even noticed we were in here until the sound of his daughter wailing entered his system.

His eyes a raging black, as his orbs stared at me in a predatory way until his wolf recognised me as his mate.

My own wolf raising to the surface at his behaviour, walking back over to our daughter to calm her down. Keeping her at a distance from Blaine as his wolf was still in control and not wanting to startle him.

I didn't doubt that he would never harm his child but when his wolf was dominant, his thinking was irrational.

I picked up the phone, quickly pulling it up to my ear quickly speaking and ending the call. "Dad, I'll have to call you back."

Blaine was facing the wall, his posture tense as he breathed in deeply as he tried to gain control of his beast. He was breathing in deeply as his broad chest heaved with the depth of his sigh.

Hearing the commotion, Lena appeared and took the baby away from the situation leaving Blaine and I in his office.

"I'm sorry," Blaine apologised but refused to look at me as I approached. "I didn't realise you were in here with the baby. I would have kept my distance."

I placed my hands on his biceps, holding onto him tightly, confused by his rage. He had mentioned last night that he would be interrogating the rogues this morning, his animosity stemming from that situation.

"What happened?" I asked as I looked up at my mate, his eyes not meeting mine as he growled at the wall. His irritation now at himself for the way he made his daughter cry unintentionally, our bond validing my thoughts.

We stood still for a few moments as he forced his human side to restrain his wolf, as Blaine came back to the surface with dominance.

He picked me up, his arms siding underneath my legs and securing my back. Once on the couch, he held my body tight to his. My eyes caught the sight of blood that had splashed and specked on his face.

"Blaine," I frowned, my hands reaching out and rubbing the blood away.

"I had to kill a few of the rogues and I even let some go," He gritted out through clenched teeth. "But not without the promise to sign their death warrant if they trespassed again."

"I never let rogues go," He was frowning deeply at his statement and even I was confused by his admission.

"That's not a bad thing Blaine." I said light-heartedly.

"It is." He growled, his temper rising as he abruptly stood up as he placed me back down on the couch, now pacing his office.

"I should never have let them go," His lips peeling back, a snarl tearing through his teeth and out his mouth.

"I should have never let them go." He repeated, getting more and more aggravated with himself.

"Blaine, what happened?" Standing up and approaching my mate once again, I forced him to stay still as I held onto him, holding his gaze.

"The rogues confirmed a few details," Blaine said, standing still and dangerously tense as he his muscles tighten underneath my fingertips. "Alexander only attacked as he realised we had thrown a few of his rogues in cells and he was concerned that his numbers had lowered so he attacked before he was ready."

I smiled slightly at him then frowned. "But, that's a good thing isn't it? It means Alexis is innocent?"

"It does but her brother wasn't cooperating and was insistent that Alexander was in his right to attack. He told me that if he was to leave, he would attack again due to his loyalty to Alexander."

I sighed deeply, knowing exactly what Blaine had done. Alexis's had mentioned how Alexander had help saved their sister from a dangerous situation, she hadn't expressed or confirmed exactly what had happened but it was clear her brother's loyalty was because of that.  "You killed him?"

"Yes." He nodded, his lips in a thin line.

I held my breath not wanting to express my feelings to Blaine. I understood why he done it.

"Does Adrian know?" I leaned away slightly, only then noticing Adrian standing at the opening of the door.

"I do. Alexis knows and she is devastated but understands. Her brother hasn't been himself for years ever since his mate died. He had allowed his wolf to take control while his human faded into the background. Alexis said he had become a shell of a person, he was weak and slowly killing himself."

The tension in the air was heavy, both their wolves were on edge as they stared at one another.

I only nodded, wanting to change the subject from Alexis's brother and onto the rogues. "Why did you let some of the rogues go?" I was curious and taken back. Blaine never allowed rogues to live, it was completely against his rules.

"The ones who willingly gave information, I let go and I even," Blaine shook his head then run his hand through his hair. "I even let a few stay and become a member of the pack."

I physically leaned back, my head tilting up to stare at him in shock, my eyes widening. Worried that I had heard wrong, I turned to look at Adrian who had a smirk on his face, amused at my reaction. "You did?"

"Yes." He grumbled, his eyes flickering back and forth with his wolfs.

I grinned at my mate, he was still the most ruthless Alpha but his brutal mentality was slowly fading, his decisions more thought out. "I'm proud of you."

The smile stayed on my face as I held onto him, his posture still stiff and his muscles tense but they relaxed once I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his head closer to mine.

Adrian was no longer present, and had left to be with his grieving mate.

"You did the right thing Blaine, stop dwelling and getting aggravated about a situation you cannot change. Letting those rogues go and letting some stay isn't a bad thing."

"Maybe. I'm not sure why I decided to not kill them, something in my mind said not to. I won't be making that mistake again." He grunted to himself, a low growl rumbling in his throat.

"You haven't made a mistake Blaine. You cannot know that you made a mistake right now, only time will tell. Showing mercy isn't a weakness." It was obvious that his father was on his mind, his thoughts mixing into mine as he questioned his judgment.

He frowned but looked down at me with purses lips and nodded. "You're right, time will tell."

I smiled as we stayed in silence, my hands running through his hair until I lightly tugged it, getting a low growl in reply as a small smirk appeared on Blaine's face.

Blaine leaned down, his own hands suddenly grabbing the back of my neck as he captures his lips on mine.

He nipped at my lower lip and they parted as his tongue slivers into my mouth, deepening the kiss. My grip around his neck tightens as I moan against his lips, pressing my body closer to his.

Breathless, I pulled back, lowering my hands from around his neck to rest on his broad chest, only to feel the small rumbles he was making against my hands.

As my eyes meet his, he tilts his head, crashing his lips back to mine. His hands moving from my neck to my waist, pulling my body up to his, wrapping my legs around his body and snaking his hands around to hold onto my curves.

He groaned against my lips, igniting a fire in my belly as he carried me towards our bedroom, closing the door before dropping me onto the bed.

I landed on my elbows, my back on the bed as his eyes glowed, excitement building in my lower stomach as my sex began to tingle.

Blaine yanked my body, forcing me to hang near the edge of the bed as one of his hands grips my neck, then my chin before his thumb traces my lower lip. It's soon replaced by his lips, as he began trailing kisses down my neck. "Blaine," I said breathlessly, as he began removing my jeans and his.

In a quick movement, he was suddenly on the bed, my body now straddling his as he began teasing me, gripping my thighs harshly, a moan leaving my mouth from the sexual tension.

"Mmm," He mumbled against my mark, nipping at it as I arched my back, forcing my hips to move against his, receiving a low groan in reply.

"Don't tease me." I weakly growled as I gripped his t-shirt, removing it from his body.

He smirked, a teasing smile playing on his lips as he gripped my waist, turning us over so that he was now hovering of me, his hands torturously sliding down my stomach to my underwear. Gripping the lace at my sides, as he slowly brought them down my legs.

"I wouldn't dare." He whispered, looking up at me through his eyelashes, slowly kissing the insides of my thighs. His tone sending a wave of tingles throughout my body.
