Having to walk through the corridors of Oakville high school on my first day of senior year was the last thing I wanted to do on a Monday morning. In fact I would prefer to never have to grace my presence in this school again. But apparently according to my mom, that is not an option.

So after scrapping that idea this morning, I forced myself out of bed not bothering to add any makeup. It's not like it would improve my appearance, after all a 5inch scar is a permeant reminder of what happened 14 years ago between my parents and a crazed rogue.

I don't fully remember what happened and I've never asked, my mother constantly wants to talk about it to see if it can help me but I personally think it's unnecessary. Why talk about something I don't want to remember?

It still hurts my mom to think about and having it as a constant reminder on my face doesn't help. She even tries to reassure me that I'm still beautiful but that doesn't stop people from staring.

As the Alpha's daughter, I liked to keep myself to myself and I only liked to socialise with a small group of friends.

I placed all my school books that wasn't needed until later into my locker when my best friend Tilly and the Betas daughter appeared next to me. We've been friends since we were four and have been inseparable since.

After shutting our lockers we greeted each other quickly and talked about all the crazy drama my twin brothers Knox and Kai caused over the weekend.

But just as we were about to walk to class Mellisa, the most popular girl at school along with her group of followers came over to us.

Melissa stood there, her eyes glaring at mine as she scrunched her face up into disgust.

I simply rolled my eyes at her waiting for her unoriginal insult to follow, except it didn't. She instead pushed past me, her shoulder purposely bashing into mine as she shoved her way through.

We've never got on ever since we were children, she was obsessed with wanting an Alpha title something I had and she didn't.

"Watch it." I growled threatening, my eyes glowing black as she turned round to give me a smug smile knowing I couldn't do anything as humans surrounding us.

I just looked at her appearance; she had gorgeous long red curly hair with light blue eyes and of course a skinny waist. She was wearing the most revealing clothing which left absolutely nothing for the imagination, not that it was a shock.

"What?" She replied sweetly, her tone innocent as she gave me a fake smile. My chest began to rumble as my wolf begged to be released only for me to push her down, we were exposed and we couldn't shift in the middle of the school corridor.

I was about to step forward, my wolf commanding control when Tilly pulled me the other way by my arm trying to get us away from this situation.

"She's not worth it and you can't shift in the middle of school, all the humans are staring."  Tilly said through our mind link.

I knew she was right but my wolf didn't want to back down, she was an Alpha but she knew we had a responsibility to keep our kind a secret. I stared at Melissa a moment longer, a promise in my eyes to find her later to show her who was her superior.

I took in a deep breathe, turning round to grab Tilly, dragging her through the large group of people who began crowding the corridor wanting to see what was going on between Mellissa and I.

I didn't stop pulling Tilly until we were well out of range of the lockers.

"She really needs to be put in her place." Tilly commented.

I nodded in agreement, I needed to cool off but I couldn't skip class again. My father had already reprimanded me about skipping school yesterday. "Let's just get to class, yeah?"

"Come on then." She says shaking her head with a slight smile, she knew me and had no doubt that it would happen again.

I smiled at her before we both walked into our English class and began our assignments.

Luckily the whole day I managed to avoid Mellissa and thankfully I made it through the school day with no more problems.

I made my way home quickly as the weather was scorching hot today and the heat was irritating my skin, what made it worse was how werewolves naturally radiate a lot of heat. I was even wearing a sweater; I just couldn't be bothered to take it off.

Our house is gorgeous and of course the largest in our territory, well that's if you disregard the pack house which is a large building which holds small families and teenagers including their mates. Mates - something I was hoping not to find all too soon especially if he's an Alpha.

They're over possessive and dominant wolves and I couldn't stand it and I knew exactly what it would be like due to being an Alpha's daughter.

I wanted to be able to experience college life, travel the world and then start my career before settling down with my mate and having kids.

Mates are also known as 'soul mates' everyone has one, even humans. It's where our souls split into two, one half belonging to you and the other for your mate. You're made for them like their made for you. And due to being a werewolf, we have a better chance of finding our soul mate. We know who they are just by touch, smell and the awaking of our wolf who automatically is able to identify our mate just by staring into their eyes.

I turned eighteen a month ago, and got my wolf at sixteen, I'm surprised that I haven't found my mate yet since at sixteen is the usual age.

My wolf is dark brown but looks slightly black and just like my dad my eyes are bright blue. My wolf is amazingly beautiful but unfortunately you're still able to see my scar running down the side of my cheek.

When I finally made it home after a long day at school, I opened the door to the house and all I could hear was shouting and screaming coming from the kitchen. I sighed immediately knowing my brothers were probably doing something that will most likely find them in trouble.

Knox was always finding himself in trouble and somehow manages to bring other people into it. Unfortunately for Kai being his twin made him the usual victim. But I also didn't doubt that Kaden - the future Alpha of the Black Moon Pack was also going to get an earful from our mother.

Once in the kitchen I almost wished that I never entered as before I was even able to take one step into the room, I was forced to duck from the flying food that flew my way which luckily missed me but unfortunately not for my mom's new and expensive painting.

I growled at my brothers who were laughing in hysterics. "Your face!" Knox said gasping as he tries to get his breath back from laughing so hard. At the age of thirteen he was the devil including Kaden who just turned fourteen.

Looking around the room I mentally laughed at how my mother would react the moment she walked into the kitchen. There was food all up the walls and what looked like cake mix was dripping down from the ceiling. All the boys were covered from head to toe in food making it pretty obvious that they were having a food fight.

"Oh you're in so much trouble." I smirked at all three of them as I heard my mother's voice echo through the house. There was no way I was missing this.

But out of nowhere I felt a splash of food smack me straight on my sweater. I narrowed my eyes at Knox who was smirking at me.

"Oh you little shi-"

Before I could finish my sentence my mom's screeching rang through my ears. "What on earth has been going on in here? What have you done to my kitchen? Look at all this mess!" She was extremely mad and was making frantic movements with her hands.

"I didn't do it." I said immediately putting my hands up in surrender. There was no way I was getting into trouble for this. They're always getting me into trouble and I most certainly wasn't having it today.

I was in no mood to get in trouble for something I had no part in.

"Sure you weren't Kennedy, you're covered in cake mix and you're trying to tell me that you weren't involved? You're old enough to know that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable yet you think it's okay to teach your siblings this behaviour!" My mom Lara shouts as she began quickly wiping the sides down trying to clean the counter.

I stared open mouthed at my brothers. I was honestly fed up of her thinking that I was teaching them this 'behaviour'. Yes I admit that I did teach them a few things but that was years ago! They're not as innocent as they look and I can't stand the fact that she believes that they do nothing wrong and are incapable of getting themselves into situations like this without my help.

"I only just walked in! They did this all by themselves!" I shout back.

"Just go to your room Kennedy! I'm not listening to any more excuses! And that includes all of you. Go to your rooms now!" I growled at her tone and simply made my way to the garden. I needed to take a long run; both my wolf and I needed it.

Quickly ducking behind a tree I strip myself of all my clothes and shift. Picking up all my clothes in my mouth, leaving behind the sweater which was covered in cake mix, luckily I was wearing a tank top underneath. I began running fast, dodging trees and jumping over fallen branches.

My wolf and I were furious at Mellissa, our brothers and our mom. I was constantly in trouble; I didn't even have to be in the house for it to be my fault. I'm not saying that a large majority isn't my fault because it is. But taking the blame for something I didn't do, didn't settle too well with me.

I was so aggravated that I hadn't even realised that I exited the pack lines. Well that was until a menacing growl caught my attention.

My head instantly shot to the sound, where I found a group of five large wolves growling dangerously at me.

'Oh for the love of God' I growled at myself.

How could I be so stupid? How didn't I know that I left the packs territory and somehow managed to land myself in another. By pack law, entering a territory without permission is punishable by death.

Knowing that if I wanted to get out of here alive I would probably have to fight my way out but by the look of the wolves my chances were slim. They all looked impeccably strong and well built. I may be an Alpha's daughter but I was no match against five huge wolves who all looked like they would tower over me but my chances of out running them were definitely high.

I was brought out of my thoughts when a dark growl entered my mind for the second time. Looking back at the wolves I noticed that one of the men had shifted back to human and had already chucked on some shorts. He was definitely hot and judging by his toned body he most certainly worked out and looked around the age of twenty.

"Shift, now." I knew from the power radiating from his demand that he was a Beta, a strong one.

I wanted to growl at his order, after all, Alpha blood runs through my veins. But I knew it would only make the situation worse so instead I trotted off behind a tree and chucked my clothes on before walking back to the guys.

"Who are you? And what are you doing on Dark Apollo's territory?" I stood frozen for a second. Everyone, knew whose territory that is and it just so happens that I, Kennedy Black, accidently crossed Blaine Diesels territory.

He was known for his brutally and ruthless mentality, I knew that the chance of me leaving with a sweet apology and a wave goodbye was certainly not going to happen.

Alpha Blaine Diesel at the age of fifteen took over his father's pack after killing his dad after he attacked his mother in a fit of rage.

He had no family and no heart. He was believed to have no mate, after all the cruelty that he would sustain to a wolf. He didn't care about anybody except his pack. No one dared to question his decisions or disrespect him which is how he became the strongest and most dominating Alpha in America.

Throughout his life he had to fight multiple wolves who thought they could easily dominate a fifteen year old Alpha and take over his territory. But they were all wrong. Each and every one of them lost when Blaine fought and he fought till death.

"I said, who are you and what are you doing on Dark Apollo's territory?" The Beta repeated, anger seeking through his voice after having to repeat himself.

I frowned annoyed that he continued to talk to me like that.

"Oh you know, I'm just checking out the scenery." I say sarcastically.

His eyes darkened and narrowed into slits. He began to take a step forward when all of the guys shifted back to human. "Come on man, she's just a girl." One said.

I literally gaped at him and frowned. Just a girl?

I frowned annoyed at the both of them. The Beta caught my stare and gave me an annoyed one of his own. "Do you know what we do with wolves like you that enter our land without permission?" He said with a taunting tone.

I stared at him for a few seconds before crossing my arms across my chest and raising an eyebrow. "Hmm, I don't know. You going to throw me a ball?" I again said sarcastically with a slight shrug off my shoulders. I knew I was also insulting myself but I didn't care.

My comments were clearly unappreciated by the looks I was receiving although one of them actually laughed causing the others to roll their eyes at him. "What? It was funny."

I rolled my eyes with the rest of the guys before my wolf began to feel restless and anxious. She was beginning to make me feel uncomfortable and slightly scared although I would never admit that out loud.

When I tried calling out to my wolf, she didn't answer, she was too focused on why my body was acting funny which meant she knew something I didn't.

"You feeling scared now?" The Beta taunted again.

"Shaking." I said with a bored tone, I wasn't going to let him know how I was truly feeling.

"Well you should be."

'Uh, what an ass' I thought to myself.

I was about to reply when the most delicious scent entered my senses. My body began to tingle and my wolf was pacing up and down in my mind, she was excited.

I turned my head to the left where the scent was coming from. Only to see a guy who also looked around twenty, standing at over 6 foot tall walking out of the trees.

I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful werewolf standing a few feet away from me.

He was shirtless showing off his huge muscles, broad shoulders and strong arms. He looked utterly intimidating and threatening, the deep scars gracing his tanned skin showed how ruthless he could be but I couldn't help but feel a pull to him.

After staring at his body for far too long, I slowly pulled my eyes to his face, looking him straight into his eyes.

My mind went completely fuzzy; standing a few feet away from me was my mate.

One that I was nowhere ready, or even prepared for. I was pulled out of my frozen state when I caught him taking a step towards me.

And that's when it fully clicked; Blaine Diesel was my mate and I needed to make a run for it.
