Perri's POV

~•~•~•~

I was oh so comfortable. I was warm, but not too hot, and I was just drowsy enough to be called sleepy. And since when did my bed get so soft?

I went to move my body so I could stretch, but found myself restricted by a heavy arm that was draped across my waist. My immediate reaction was to panic. Oh no, I slept with a pack member. And I'm the Alpha's daughter! I was supposed to save myself for my mate! Dad is gonna kill me ...if he ever finds out. Hopefully he won't. I mean, your scent only changes when you have sex with your true mate, right?

Wait ...speaking of mates ...

Oh hell to the no!

This explained why I was so comfortable. This was my mate. The same guy who marked me without my permission not a day ago. The same guy who evidently kidnapped me. The same guy who was now lying beside me, sleeping soundly.

The same guy who was unfortunately stopping me from getting up.

Okay, I needed to escape. It would be harder since I was marked and all, but I was strong enough to do it. I needed to go back to my pack - I couldn't stay as a rogue. Besides, my parents didn't have an heir, so I was next in line to be Alpha. Or Luna, since my mate was supposed to take the place of Alpha.

Werewolves are so sexist.

I decided to wait at least a day first, so that Aiden wouldn't be on his guard. I was certain he would be wary of my movements for a while, so for now I was just going to play the role of angry mate. After all, he marked me without even asking me first, right in front of my dad, Dan and his friends, causing me to pass out from the freaking pain, then he brought me here, wherever here was, and slept in the same bed as me! I mean, I know we're wolves, but come on, did he not think I might need some space?

But for now, I just needed to get his arm off me so I could find a mirror and take a look at my neck, which was probably a mangled mess. I decided against touching it, for fear of hurting myself. It probably wouldn't be fully healed yet, and would take another few days or so.

I tried to slowly peel his arm off me, but one of my own arms was trapped underneath me, and I had to use one hand. His arm was too heavy to move that slowly, so I dropped it with a thump.

Aiden stirred in his sleep, and I held my breath in case he woke up. Fortunately he just moved his arm over slightly and his breathing resumed its normal slow pace. How the hell can he move his arm so easily, when I can barely move it an inch?

The good thing was, his arm had now lost its death grip on my waist, and I shifted over a few inches until I realized I was at the edge of the bed, and his hand fell in between the two of us. I suddenly felt cold, but I put it down to the fact that there was no heating turned on. I wanted to crawl back into his arms and stay there forever, because I felt content and secure. But I knew if I stayed looking at him, I would give in, and I didn't want that.

So I carefully got out of the bed and smoothed the covers over where I had been. Before starting my search for a bathroom, I glanced back at the sleeping Aiden. And my first thought was, how did I not notice he was shirtless before?!

Well, I did notice, but I didn't exactly take the information in. Now, it's one thing when you see a hot guy shirtless, but your mate? That's a whole different story. It was almost too much for me to handle. I mean, how is it possible for a shirtless guy to be that hot?

It was a pity he had the covers halfway up his chest, because I couldn't see the abs he obviously had. I had the urge to pull the blanket away and look, but that would just be creepy, so I shot the idea down.

I turned away before any impure thoughts decided to invade my mind, and almost immediately I spotted a door, which presumably led to Aiden's bathroom. I took a look around his bedroom, and it was pretty basic. He had a double bed in the center of the room, pushed up against the wall, a chest of drawers on either side, a closet, and a desk in the corner with a laptop on top of it. It was surprisingly tidy for a guy, and the color scheme was mostly just a creamish color. The whole room was plain, but somehow I liked it. Probably because it happened to be Aiden's room.

I chose one of the two doors, both of which were painted white, and opened it. Fortunately it turned out to be a bathroom, albeit a small one. It just had a shower, a toilet, and a sink with a mirror above it. Good enough for me.

The light was dim, and for the first time I noticed that it was probably sometime in the middle of the night. There was a window in the top left corner of the bathroom, and the view outside showed an inky blackness. My enhanced eyesight was the only reason I could see, and it was because of that that I didn't notice how dark it really was. My vision was just the same as in daytime.

I shut the door softly behind me and flicked on the light switch I'd seen on the wall beside the door. I crossed over to the mirror and almost died at my appearance. My hair was sticking up in every direction and my cheeks were flushed. How you could get flushed cheeks while sleeping was a mystery to me, unless you were having a sex dream. Which I wasn't.

I craned my neck to see my mark, and I was surprised that my neck wasn't just a bloody piece of meat. The mark showed the silhouette of a wolf howling at the moon, and at the bottom in cursive lettering were the letters AC. It was surprisingly ...beautiful. It was almost like a tattoo, but somehow more lifelike than any tattoo could ever be. And AC. Aiden...something. I'd have to ask him about that later.

I brought my hand up to touch it, but when I did my whole neck burned in pain, and I held in a cry. It still wasn't fully healed.

My eyes shone brightly in the mirror and I didn't know whether to be happy or angry. I knew I was definitely mad at Aiden, but for some reason I felt glad that I had my mate, even though I didn't really, since I was planning to run away. I wasn't sure what to think anymore - my head was a mess.

I glanced down at myself to make sure I hadn't been hurt in any way, and for the first time I noticed that I wasn't wearing my jeans and t-shirt from yesterday. Instead I was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a shirt that, from the scent, could only belong to Aiden.

I frowned; it better not have been him that changed me. If it was, I was going to freak out. But I couldn't make assumptions until I asked him, so I was just going to settle with being mad at him for marking me and then bringing me here. Either way, I was still mad at him.

I splashed some water on my face and patted my hair down as best I could without a hairbrush. I decided to at least look around this place so I would know my way around in the morning, and who knows, maybe I could escape right away.

I slowly opened the bathroom door and peeped out. There was still a lump in the bed so I knew Aiden must still be sleeping, otherwise he would probably be going on a rampage looking for me. I stepped out and shut the door softly behind me. My feet were bare and I didn't want to take a pair of Aiden's socks, so I just left them.

I tiptoed across the room in case Aiden was a light sleeper and when he didn't wake up, I tried the door at the opposite end of the room. Thankfully it wasn't locked, so I opened it, and looked out onto a hallway. The floor was carpeted so my feet wouldn't make any noise, and I left Aiden's bedroom, closing the door behind me.

There was a light shining from the end of the hallway, but it was flashing a little, so I assumed it was a TV. I didn't know Aiden lived with anyone, but it wasn't any of my business. That didn't stop me from walking towards the light to see who it was, though.

I passed another door on my way down, and it looked to be another bedroom. I didn't open it in case there was someone in there, and continued on my way. A small kitchen stood at the end of the hallway, and an open door next to it revealed what looked to be the living room. A couch lay in the middle of the room, and on it were two figures, staring avidly at the screen of a huge television, which was currently playing my favorite show of all time, Pretty Little Liars.

"WHO IS A?!" A male voice yelled, and a piece of popcorn hit the screen.

Someone laughed, a girl. "Shh, these walls are paper thin, Aiden might wake up!"

"Screw them", the other voice retorted; it sounded kind of familiar. Probably one of the rogues. Well, I guess I couldn't really call them "the rogues" anymore, since technically now I was one of them. Ugh.

I cleared my throat a little, and immediately the two people jumped up from the couch. I almost heaved a sigh of relief - one of them was Blondie, and the other was the girl who'd been jumping up and down in her cell.

They stared at me, stunned, and I wanted to laugh. The girl was the first to react. She slapped Blondie on the shoulder, causing him to flinch. "Shit, you woke her up! Now she's gonna tell Aiden on us, and he's gonna be pissed!"

I stepped into the room, which was completely dark except for the light of the TV. I shifted from one foot to the other uncomfortably. "Uh, actually, I was wondering if I could watch Pretty Little Liars with you. I haven't seen that episode, and I -"

Blondie cut me off by running over and giving me a humongous hug. I returned it awkwardly, not wanting to offend him. When he pulled away there was a huge grin on his face. He opened his mouth to say something, but the girl interrupted him. "Oh god, you're scaring her!"

Blondie rolled his eyes. "But Lisa, she's one of us!"

I narrowed my eyes, thinking he meant I was now a rogue like them. Well, I was, but not for long. "What do you mean?"

"You like Pretty Little Liars too!"

I had to laugh at him, and then I held out my hand for him to shake. "I'm Perri."

He grinned, "Rian."

The girl, Lisa, popped up beside Rian. "I'm Lisa!"

I smiled at her, then turned back to Rian, "Please tell me your last name is Dawson."

Confusion clouded both he and Lisa's eyes. "What?"

I gasped. "If you don't get that, we can't be friends."

He shrugged. "It's okay, we aren't friends. We're best friends."

I chuckled. "Since when did this happen?"

"Uh, since now", he said, as if I was stupid.

Lisa pouted from beside him. "What happened to me being your best friend?"

Rian wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Aww, I'm sorry. We can all be best friends!"

I had to laugh at the two of them. They both acted like four year olds, yet it was funny. But I couldn't be friends with Aiden's friends, not if I was going to be leaving soon. I know you're probably thinking, why the hell doesn't she just forgive him and move on? But I want to do this the traditional way. Well, not the traditional way, the human way. As in, we don't live together, we go out on dates, all that crap. Then, I would have preferred for him to mark me after about a month, but he went ahead and did it anyway. So I'm not forgiving him that easily.

Lisa led the way back to the couch, and we all flopped down on the black leather cushions. We watched Pretty Little Liars in silence, but when the current episode ended I spoke up.

"Why did you guys think I would tell Aiden what you were doing?"

Rian had a mischievous little smile on his face. "We aren't supposed to be using his Netflix, hell, we aren't even supposed to be in his apartment. He thinks we went home hours ago. But we like pissing him off, so we're still here. And you're his mate, so of course you'd tell him."

"Firstly", I said. "High five. Secondly, I'm mad at him, so no, I wouldn't tell him. And thirdly, I don't care, because I love this show too."

"Yay!" Lisa whisper-shouted, because Aiden was still sleeping. "Now you're definitely one of us!"

I laughed. "What time is it?"

Lisa pressed a button on the TV remote, and then turned back to me. "Uh...two a.m."

"Oh." I suppressed a yawn. Although I'd been out cold until around an hour ago, I was still tired. I was one of those people who could sleep forever, if given the choice.

"You should go back to bed", Rian told me. I shook my head adamantly.

"I'm not getting back in the bed beside him. I'm mad at him, remember?"

Lisa laughed. "Relax, there's another bedroom, you can sleep in there."

I frowned, "But where are you guys gonna sleep?"

"My apartment's just across the hall, I should be getting back anyways", Rian said.

"Yeah, I'm sleeping in your bed tonight, you can sleep on the couch", Lisa told him.

He pouted. "Can't you just sleep on the couch?"

"No, I'll fall off. Besides, you're supposed to give the bed to the lady."

Rian snorted. "You're no lady."

Lisa opened her mouth to reply but I cut her off. "Guys, chill. One of you can stay in Aiden's spare room, I'll just sleep on the couch."

"No! Aiden will flip a shit, and besides, no lady should sleep on the couch", Rian said, smirking at Lisa.

"Hey!" She argued. "I am a lady!"

Rian shook his head sadly. "No, you aren't."

"I am!"

"Guys!" I interjected. "Stop!"

Both of them turned to look at me. Rian raised an eyebrow. "I'm not sleeping on the couch!"

"Well, if one of you would just take the spare room here, then -"

"That means you'd have to share with Aiden", Lisa finished.

I opened and shut my mouth like a fish. "Oh."

"Yeah", said Rian. "Okay, I'll sleep on the couch, but you have to take the blame if Aiden finds out that I put blue hair dye in his shampoo."

"Deal", Lisa agreed, and I grinned. They'd put blue dye in Aiden's shampoo? They were definitely my best friends, even if I'd only met them tonight.

The three of us got up from the couch, and I switched off the TV. Rian and Lisa both gave me a hug each before saying goodnight and leaving me and Aiden alone in the apartment. Good thing he was sleeping, otherwise I would run to the Land of Far Far Away.

I left the living room and made my way to the door beside Aiden's. I opened it, and the room inside was similar to the one I'd woken up in. It didn't look like it was booby-trapped, so I climbed into the bed and wrapped the covers tightly around myself. I was freezing, so I tried to get as warm as possible.

Pretty soon I felt my eyes drifting closed, and I fell into darkness.

Heyy

Ssoo how was the chapter?? Took me ages to get this one out, I hope its long enough for y'all.

Thoughts on Rian and Lisa?

Btw there's probably like so many plot holes in this story, just ignore them and pretend its all good if you find some.

No Aiden in this chapter, apologies for that. He'll be back next chapter, I promise. So I'm trying to get a new cover for the story, I don't like the current one. Yay!

3 votes for the next chapter??

Thanks
