Ivy stared blankly at the tv. She didn't know what she was watching, all she knew she was emotionally and mentally exhausted. It had been two weeks since she and Matteo had broken up and she hadn't seen or talked to him since, and not for the lack of trying on his end. She glanced down at her phone.

50 missed calls.
78 new messages.

They had all been from Matteo and she refused to answer or read anything from him. A few days after their breakup, he had shown up at her dorm asking to see her, thankfully she had class at the time and her roommate Ashley had answered door. From what she gathered, he seemed desperate to see her and if she was honest with herself a part of her did want to see him, she missed him. But what he did was unforgivable.

Her heart clenched every time she thought about never seeing, kissing or making love to Matteo again but she knew walking away was the right thing to do, as painful as it was. Letting out a sigh, she continued changing the channel, looking for something to distract her from her thoughts.

Suddenly her door swung open making her jump. Strolling casually into her room with a box of pizza, as if he didn't just barge into her room un-announced was Matthew.

"What the hell Matt?! You can't just barge into my room without knocking!"

Matthew just shrugged his shoulders, "You wouldn't have answered even if I did." He put the pizza box down on the coffee table before seating himself next to her. "You look like shit." He said after taking a look at her.

Ivy grimaced and ran a hand through her tangled hair, she did look a mess. She hadn't moved from her spot in days and barely ate or slept, the bags under her eyes were proof of that.

Grabbing two slices of pizza, he handed one over to Ivy, making sure she took a bite before taking one of his own. " So what's up with you lately? I would say it's that time of the month but you've been acting strange for months now."

Ivy just shook her head, "Nothing." she mumbled, before reaching for her second slice, she didn't realize how hungry she was.

Matthew nudged her shoulders, "Come on Ivy, you can trust me. What is it? did you go through a breakup or something?" He let out a laugh as though the idea of her being in a relationship was too far fetched. Not that Ivy blamed him, she tended to keep her personal life private and she never had a serious relationship before Matteo. Ivys' eyes dropped to the ground, a hurt look crossed her face.

The look didn't go unnoticed by Matthew and his laughter came to a halt. His eyes widened in shock, "wait.. what the fúck Ivy? you can't be serious!" He exclaimed in disbelief.

Ivy swiped her hand over her head, sensing a deep pounding in her head. "Look, I don't want to talk about it. It's over now."

"Who is he?" Matthew asked, even though his voice was neutral it held a hint of anger.

Ivy just shook her head, "No one. It's no ones business anyway."

"It is my business!" He burst out.

Ivy's eyes widened at his outburst and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Noticing his outburst was out of line, he quickly mumbled an apology. "You're right it's none of my business." He glanced down at his watch before looking up and giving her a forced smirk, "I have to go any way, I have a date with two hot blondes I met at the gym." He said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

Ivy let out a laugh and shoved his shoulders playfully, "Go! Please don't let me get in the way."

Giving her one last lingering look and a quick peck on the cheek, he made his way out, closing the door behind him.

What the hell was that all about?

Shaking her head, she leaned forward to grab another slice of pizza, but a knock on the door stopped her midway. Who the hell would that be? Thinking Matt probably had forgotten something, she got up to open the door.

"Did you forg-" the words stopped in her throat when she pulled the door open and saw who it was. Her eyes widened in disbelief "Oh my god." She gasped.
