She threw her pencil onto the table, moving her legs closer to her chest, hugging it under her warm blanket.

The living room was so quiet, only filled with the sound of a ticking wall clock from the corner of the room.

Hyun Ae stared at her phone, standing unbothered in its holder on the table beside her works.

"Hm," she sighed, as she reached out and took the phone. Looking at it with no reason at all.

It had been a week without Namjoon. No texts or calls from him.

She began to regret the fact that she had told him to give himself a break because she wasn't expecting this kind of 'break'.

It was too lonely for her.

She then let out a grunt, throwing the phone to the other side of the sofa bed.

"Urgh. Focus, Hyun Ae! You got a big project here!" she spoke to herself as she picked up her pencil and began to continue on the floor plans of her future restaurant.

After a few minutes, the doorbell rang, stopping the movement of her hands on the papers as she turned to the door.

She got off the sofa and walked towards the front door to check on the monitor.

"Eh, why is he here?" Hyun Ae muttered to herself, as she saw Yoongi standing outside her door gate in a long black coat and a black cap.

She unlocked the gate and opened the front door when he entered the house yard.

"Yoongi oppa? What are you doing here?" she asked as she stepped down the porch steps.

"Just... checking on you. We hadn't seen you like... a week now," he said, scratching his head as he followed her back into the house. "And they told me that you're not in the shop, so I came here alone."

"Well, I won't be at the shop for the time being," she told him as she closed the door behind her.

"Oh really? Well then... I guess I'll be coming here often," Yoongi chuckled, as he followed her towards the sofa bed and sat on the corner, and had just realized that Hyun Ae gave him a weird look. "I was just kidding. Oh, what's that?"

Yoongi pointed to the foldable mini table beside her. There was a drawing of a floor plan of a building, still unfinished resting on it.

Hyun Ae took it and showed it to him as she began to explain.

"This... is the next phase for my shop. I found this one building, a vintage-style building in Yongsan, and the owner needs a future buyer since the rental contract with the current shop in that building will end around next year or the next one, and no renewal is confirmed, so I signed the papers and decided to buy the building," she smiled at the drawing before she continued on.

"It's a big building so I can design it with what I wanted and all-" she paused when she realized how quiet Yoongi was and as she looked up at him, he was staring at her.

"Oppa, are you listening?"

"Y-Yes, yes I am," he let out a nervous sigh, scratching his head as he chortled. "Wow. Is it just me or... Busan does have multi-talented people, like you and Jungkook..."

"Pfft, what nonsense are you talking about?"

"It's the truth. Look, you can... draw."

"Anyone can draw, Yoongi oppa. Don't exaggerate it," she laughed then put the drawing down by her side before she asked him. "Do you want to drink?"

"No, thanks. But... are you okay?" Yoongi asked back, kind of catching her off guard with the sudden question.

"Why would you ask that? Of course, I am," she mumbled, attempting to avoid eye contact with him, but he was peering at her.

"Those eyebags said 'oppa, oppa~ I'm tired and I cried a lot these days~'-"

"N-N-No! I'm not! I-It's just... I got works to do a-and... a-and..."

Hyun Ae was cut off by her own sudden yawn, which had got Yoongi to giggle at the sight.

"Sleep," he whispered, patting her head softly as he assured her with his soft smile.

What is he doing to me right now? I must be feeling too lonely without Namjoon here. Yoongi oppa... Him being so caring with me... What is this warm feeling?

"I... I'll just..." Hyun Ae shook her head, suddenly feeling a bit shy. She grabbed her blanket off the floor and placed it on her lap. "Take a nap instead. Are you sure..."

"I'll be in your Galaxy studio," Yoongi smiled, guiding her down to the big pillow beside her until she finally laid down on it.

"Right... okay then," she nodded as he pulled up the blanket to fully cover her. "Fifteen minutes, and I'll wake up after that."

"Why not thirty minutes?"

"No! I can't just leave you hanging alone here when you're in my house."

"It's okay, my dear. Don't worry about me. Take as much rest as you want," he snickered, caressing her hair.

"I'll be back up soon," she whispered, rubbing her eyes as he continued to pat her arm softly.

And surprisingly, in just a few minutes she easily drifted off to her sleep. Yoongi smiled at the view of her, sleeping calmly beside him as he carefully caressed her hair.

If only... back then... I wasn't a coward, it could be our story now, right? I won't be seeing you sad like this now.

Yoongi carefully stood up from the sofa and made his way to the studio. He opened the door, and the view of the lone grand piano at the corner of the room greeted him.

He walked towards it, and let his fingers touch each key. He took a seat and began to press a key. Before proceeding to play the intro of the song that he wrote, 'Autumn Leaves'.

A song for the girl that he had saved a few years ago.

~

He put on his leather jacket, paired with his black cap.

"Namjoon ah, I'm going out for a while. You want anything?" Yoongi asked, putting on his black face mask as he approached the working man.

Young Namjoon looked away from his computer screen and gave Yoongi a curious look.

"Nothing, but where are you going?" the leader asked.

"Just a walk around the area. I need ideas. The dateline is getting near. I haven't got any ideas for our next album," Yoongi sighed, slipping a handy notebook into his sling bag that he always had with him.

"That's weird. Because you're the one who always comes out with songs first. Oh well... take care, hyung."

With that, Yoongi then left Big Hit and began to take a random street to walk along as he tried to refresh his mind.

It was one fine day. He stared up at the clear blue sky, painted with fluffy clouds. But he still felt empty.

"Maybe it's because everything is still the same to me every day?"

He let out another sigh as he took another random small road, both sides lined up with a few shops, but most of them had already been closed for years. So, it was a very quiet surrounding even in broad daylight.

"Hm?"

He stopped in his track as he watched a girl peeking into an empty shop lot and began to type something on her phone she kept on glancing at the piece of paper stuck on the glass door, before she started to walk away, bouncing on her steps as she focused on her phone.

Yoongi who happened to walk down the same street followed her from behind and glanced at the empty lot as he walked past it. The girl made a turn to the left onto a bigger road, and so was Yoongi.

Oh, so she's going to buy the empty shop. Wait...

Suddenly he heard the sound of a car coming from behind him and immediately turned around. Then he looked back at her, just to realize that her walk wasn't straight on the safe side of the road anymore as she kept her focus on her phone.

"That girl!" he grunted and quickly made a run toward her. "Look out!"

He immediately hugged her from behind, trying to get her off the road before the car could hit her.

But to his surprise, his once-broken shoulder took the hit, and due to the impact, they were thrown toward the side of the road.

His arms tightened around her to make sure that she was safe and unharmed. But he was wrong.

Her left arm was scraped against the rough surface of the road as they fell, drawing out an amount of blood that could be considered a lot too.

"Ah!!! My arm..." the girl sobbed heavily, holding onto her aching left arm as she sat up and leaned against the nearby concrete wall.

While wincing at the pain in his shoulder, he held the pain in as he sat up and scooted closer to her. He looked at her bloody arm and noticed a large cut so he began to hold her properly.

"C-C-Can you s-s-stand up?" he asked through his mask, obviously shaking due to the shock of the sudden event. He could tell how young this girl was just by the terrified look on her face, and his heart was broken at the sight of tears.

She looked up at him, but she had cried too much to the point where it was hard for her to recognize him. But to his question earlier, she nodded while sobbing.

He then helped her to her feet, making sure her head was leaned against his left shoulder, and hugged her to his side, his free hand covering her bloody arm as he whispered.

"Let's get you to the hospital."

*

"Are you sure that you're fine?" the receptionist asked with a worried look on her face, knowing that an idol was standing before her, signing the girl's hospital bill receipt.

"Yes, I am. Just make sure she's getting the best treatment. And remember to not tell my name to her. Keep it a secret. She mustn't know that I was the guy who had saved her," Yoongi reminded her, placing down the pen and giving the receipt back to her.

"I... I understood," she nodded, exchanging bows with him before he walked away from the emergency lobby towards the hallway on his right when his phone vibrated.

"Hello? Oh, Hoseok ah. Yeah, I'm on my way back to the agency. In twenty minutes. Okay, bye. See you soon."

He ended the call as he stopped outside the doctor's room where the girl was treated.

"No stitches, right? Because I seriously hate needles," the girl whined, shaking her head as the nurse held her arm.

"Just a minor stitch! Don't worry! Plus we will inject anesthetic around the area," the doctor said, trying to calm the girl down, but it never worked.

"Still, injection is another needle! Give me sedatives or anything that can make me sleep by breathing mask or pills, please!"

What's with this girl? She's afraid of needles? Cute. It makes me want to protect her more.

Yoongi chuckled as he witnessed the whole thing through the room's small window, and spotted her handbag on the table at one side of the room.

He stared at the bag for a while, and then he quickly pulled out his notebook and began to write something on the corner of one of the pages.

After finishing it, he tore that section and folded it nicely, waiting for any nurse to leave or enter the room. He leaned against the wall next to the door as he stared at the folded paper in his hand.

Should I just... give her my number instead? But, I wanted to know her more-

"Min Yoongi-ssi? What are you doing here?" suddenly a nurse called out.

He looked up and the nurse that was in the room was now standing by the door as she closed it behind her.

"Um... She... doesn't want stitches?" Yoongi began to ask, his eyes were enough to tell the nurse that he was worried about the girl.

"Afraid of needles. Common things here in the hospital. It's a serious injury, it really needs stitches."

"Can't the doctor give her, like... sleeping pills or anything..."

"Of course, the doctor can do anything similar to that, but to put her into a sleeping state... there will be an additional payment for that. For someone who still hasn't got any job like her..."

"Tell the doctor, just give it to her. I will pay for it," Yoongi immediately offered. And before he could forget, he looked at his hand and then back at the nurse.

"And... can you help me?" he asked, handing out the small paper to her and explaining, "slip this into her bag and pretend that nothing happened, can you? And remember, don't mention my name in front of her."

The nurse was a bit surprised by the sudden mission, but then she smiled at him and took the folded paper in his hand.

"Alright. I will inform the doctor right away. And thank you for making all this easier for us," the nurse thanked, bowing down to him before she went back into the room to inform the doctor about Yoongi's request.

Meanwhile, Yoongi walked back to the receptionist to settle the additional payment.

After everything finally had settled, without further ado, Yoongi walked out of the building without even looking back at it. But then he stopped right beside a big tree.

As the wind blew, the tree shook and some of its dying leaves began to fall down, and he captured one effortlessly. He stared at it, and just by a slight pressure from his thumb, the leaf started to crumble away through his fingers.

He finally looked back at the building, hoping to see the appearance of the girl that he just saved though knowing that she was in the middle of the treatment.

More leaves began to fall once again on the second wind blow, making him smile.

It's hard to believe that I might have fallen for you, girl. But... being an idol won't be easy for us to start something. Even a simple friendship.Though I really wanted to start one with you...

It will only give us hard times. I hope I can forget this day. But...

"Park Hyun Ae. I hope we can meet again. One day," Yoongi whispered, smiling as he continued to walk, leaving the hospital area.

And the memory of their first actual meeting on one fine autumn day in 2015.

Min Yoongi's most beautiful moment in life.
