"We should hide! That reporter is after me!" Hyun Ae told Namjoon as they went down the stairs to the nearest quiet subway station.

Thank goodness the station was almost empty at half past eleven, so they got the spaces they need to run around.

Still grabbing her hand, Namjoon spotted the janitor's service closet as the closest hiding place at that time, so he dragged her toward it luckily it wasn't locked.

He pushed the girl into the dark closet, before getting himself in it too. Without scaling the closet size at all.

"But it's small here-"

"Argh!" Suddenly Hyun Ae stopped herself when they heard the reporter's furious voice near where they were hiding now. "That girl always got me! I'm not doing this anymore! I'm done!"

They could hear the angry man's footsteps outside, and because it was too dark in the closet for them to see, Hyun Ae tried to move back a bit to stick herself onto the wall behind her.

At the same time, she could sense Namjoon was also trying to move a bit forward toward her to avoid touching the steel door behind him.

She could sense his lips right in front of her forehead due to the heavy breathing that she felt against her sweaty skin.

She could feel him getting closer as he placed his hands against the wall right at both sides of her head.

Weirdly, she felt both nervous and comfortable being in such a situation with him. She was about to let her body relax when suddenly the footsteps they heard earlier faded away.

"That must be the same guy that was after us during our trip to Ilsan," Namjoon whispered under his breath, a tone that had sent chills down her spine, but she got herself together and not to lost her mind.

"He WAS that same guy. Hahaha," she chuckled nervously, her right hand hitting his chest without realizing it. Though in the darkness, Hyun Ae could feel him staring at her intensely, and she was thankful that she blushed face was hidden by the shadows.

Her hand quickly reached the closet handle behind him and she pushed it open, lights began to blind their sights.

Both of them came out from the tight space, finally getting the air they needed to breathe in after the long run from the park.

"We ran so far from the park to here," Namjoon sighed, getting back on his feet and looking around the almost empty station.

"THIS LINE IS GOING TO WHERE LOTTE WORLD IS, RIGHT?" Hyun Ae suddenly shot up with widened eyes as she tugged on his jacket sleeve.

"What?" he asked, a puzzled look clear on his face. She grunted and pointed her finger toward the direction sign, and indeed the subway line leading to her favorite place.

"Let's go!" she excitedly pulled on his sleeve but he resisted back, stopping her instantly.

"But..." He then looked down at her exposed right foot. "You're barefoot-"

"It's only my right foot, so don't worry!"

"No, I'm not going to let you go with nothing on your foot. Wear mine-"

"No. Your feet are precious. They are the ones who brought you through thicks and thins until where you are now. So..."

Namjoon blinked his eyes after hearing the reasoning from Hyun Ae. "Wow... You had such words even at times like this."

"What do you expect from an ARMY?" she smirked, bouncing her shoulders up and down.

"But still... I won't let you go on barefoot. We should get back your sandal, and go straight home."

Hyun Ae pouted and began to whine as she shook his sleeve again. "But I wanna see Lotte World."

***

"Damn. Even though I've always seen it almost every day..." Hyun Ae mumbled, with her head lifted high, eyes gleaming under the street lights by the sidewalk.

Her eyes were watching the light decorations on the rides located on the Magic Island in Seokcheon Lake, just behind the Lotte World indoor building, changing its colors.

"It's always beautiful," she finished her sentences, moving her arms a bit around Namjoon's neck.

He put some more strength into his arms, shifting her up a bit behind him, making sure she was comfortable during the piggyback ride he had offered to her.

"What, you never been in here?" he urged, as he slowly walked alongside the place, then stopped at a spot where the main entrance could be seen from their position to avoid gaining attention from the public.

Even though it was almost midnight, the area outside the entrance was still filled with people, some were taking pictures and some seemed like chatting and hanging out.

"Nope," Hyun Ae simply answered his question with a head shake.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah. I never had friends to go with," she muttered. "Well, actually I want to come here on a special occasion first before hanging out with any friends."

"What kind of occasion?" he asked, curiosity had been kicking in.

"I don't know. My birthday, maybe?"

Then both of them went silent, as they looked up at the magnificent place again. Only their breathing sounds filled the air around them, along with the sound from nearby traffic.

Namjoon then smiled, glancing over his left shoulder, just to find Hyun Ae was still staring at the amusement park with dreamy eyes.

"Let's go here together. One day," he softly said, still staring at her behind him.

"On what occasion?" she asked, not even looking at him, but she did as he answered it.

"Date." His single word was enough to make their eyes meet, though Hyun Ae was behind him.

Both of them went stone quiet, and still locked eyes. And that was when Hyun Ae began to move violently, like a cowboy in a rodeo. She had her back straightened and pulled on his neck as hard as she could, laughing as she witnessed him struggling to keep his legs straight.

"Hey, hey! Stop moving like that! I'll lose my strength!" he shouted, trying to regain every energy for every muscle that was violated by her violent shake.

"Hey! Don't forget that I lifted you like this when we first met! I've saved your life!"

"Haha. Fine," he giggled, then he took in a deep breath, exhaling as he leaned back at her a bit. "Thank you... again," he whispered as he smiled.

It was another silent moment when out of a sudden Hyun Ae moved closer to him and to his surprise, she dug her face into the crook of his neck.

"H-Hyun Ae?"

"I... I always had this feeling. The feeling of losing," she muffled against his skin. The feeling of her hot shaky breath on his skin was tingling with his nerves.

"What do you mean? Losing what?"

As Namjoon was waiting for an answer from her, he realized how tight her arms were now around his shoulders.

So tight that it made his heart race uncontrollably.

"Namjoon ah?"
