Maya's POV:

Daddy says I get to to have a play date today. I'm not sure with who thought. All I know is that he's a boy and boys have cooties. I make my way to my closet and pick out my favorite pink princess dress. I slip it over my head and go to daddy's room.

"I'm ready for my play date." I say giving him a toothy grin. He smiles down at me.

"You can't go like that pumpkin" I frown. "You have your dress on backwards." Oh. I giggle as he swoops down and tickles me. "Come here, let me fix it"

After he fixes my dress, he makes me eat all my breakfast including the nasty eggs. I shake my head no multiple times, yet he keeps insisting I eat them. Finally giving in and eating the nasty things. I run back up to my room and find my princess crown and plop it on my head. I stand in the mirror and look down at my dress. I look great. I grab my light up sketchers and put them on.

Running back down the stairs, daddy is waiting for me at the bottom.

"Come here princess, you got your shoes on the wrong feet." I hum and make my way over to him. He fixes my shoes and tells me well he leaving in five minutes. I make my way over to the couch and jump on it. I flip through the channels, trying to figure out how to use this stupid remote. I squeal when Blues Clues pops up.

I giggle as he falls down. They go through the painting and make their way on their adventure. I didn't realize how long I had been watching it until daddy comes down the stairs.

"Come on princess, we're already late." He exclaims. I groan and get up. I just wanted to watch Blues Clues. "Don't groan." He says rolling his eyes at me. "If you'll be good I'll get you a Happy Meal on our way home." I instantly straighten up and make me say out the door with him.

He places me in my pink princess booster seat and buckles me up. Daddy makes his way around the car and gets in.

"Can you please play some music" I ask nicely hoping he'll do it. He plays some music quietly.  "How long is this going to take" I ask.

"About an hour" An hour?!? A whole hour in a car. Ew. I don't want to spend a whole hour in a car. I hate long car rides.

"How about we turn the music off and I watch a movie?" I have a minnie tv in the back of the seat. Daddy turns the music off and I put Sleeping Beauty in the tv. This is my favorite movie. I want a dress just like hers. I think.....I think I'm going to be a princess when I grow up. I would be a beautiful princess.

"Daddy do you think I would be a good princess?" I ask him.

"You already make a good princess"

"I'm a princess" I ask.

"Yes, you are my princess Maya" he exclaims. Wow, I didn't know I was a princess. I smile widely and turn back to my movie.

Daddy stops the car pulling me away from my movie. 

"Come on, we're here" I look out my window at a very pretty house.

We make our way to the door and daddy knocks. A man open the door and starts talking to daddy. I look at around at the huge house.

"Come over here Maya, I want you to meet someone" the man says to me. I timidly follow him through the house. I see a young boy who's way taller than me standing behind a very pretty lady. "Maya, this is Jackson, Jackson this is Maya" the little boy waves at me. I wave back and smile at him. I slowly walk over to him.

"Hi" I say casting my eyes down to my feet. When he doesn't answer I frown.

"Jackson doesn't really talk much" the lady tells me. I nod my head. "Why don't you guys go play outside." I can only nod as the little boy starts walking towards the door. I follow him to the backyard.

"Hi" he says quietly to me.

"Do you wanna play tag" I ask him. He only bops his head up and down. "Okay you're it" I giggle and run off. He starts chasing after me. We run all around the yard. I look behind me which wasn't a good idea. I trip and fall over. I pull my dress up and look at my knee. I see blood trickle down my leg.

"Hold on, I'll be right back" he runs into the house and comes back in no time. He takes a paper towel and gently dabs my knee. After cleaning the blood he takes a bandaid and puts it over the cut.

"Thank you" I say. He leans down a kisses my bandaid. I feel my face get warm. "Why did you do that?" I ask.

"My mommy always use to kiss my boo boos away. I thought it might work with you" he says the top of his ear turning pink. I smile gratefully at him. I hop up and hug him.

"Do you want to be friends Jackson?" I ask him smiling widely. He nods his head leads me to the swing set.

We play for a couple more hours until someone calls us in. Daddy says it's time to leave and I get upset. I don't want to leave my Bestfriend yet. I don't argue though, cause I really want that happy meal.

We say our goodbyes and leave the house.

"Can we come back soon?" I ask "Jackson is my new Bestfriend" I tell him.

"Maybe" is all he says.

"Don't forget about my happy meal daddy" I tell him.

He chuckles "I didn't forget Maya."
