It had been four days since they arrived at Kefalonia, Greece and Jules had been having a wonderful time. She had spent more time with Ceaser and Ivy and had gotten to know Selene and Eric more. They had spent an entire day at the Villa just talking and a lot about Ceaser's childhood had come up.

They were amazing parents and Ceaser was lucky to have them.

But it was the day. The day of the year she found difficult to go through even though it had been two years since it happened, she still dreaded the second she got the call and her whole world fell apart. She had accepted tagging along on this trip because she thought she could try and make it different and she was trying. It was her first year with Ivy and she wanted it to be different from last year. The first light of day and everything hit her like a wrecking ball.

It was going to be harder than she thought.
Jules thought.

Ceaser had taken Ivy a few minutes ago so she could freshen up. She had spent ten minutes staring up at her ceiling and forced herself to go freshen up after. Jules has forced a smile on her face as she stepped out of her room. She went through the porch to the dining area to join the Thompsons for breakfast.

"Good morning." She greeted with a smiling face as she sat down at her usual seat.

"Good morning honey." Selene greeted and Jules looked at her as her smile faltered.
Selene had been using that endearment on her and it had been unusual at first and it reminded her of her mum but she wasn't sure she could handle it today.

"Good morning honey." Catherine, an older version of Jules greeted as Jules arrived at the kitchen

"Morning mum." Jules kissed her mum before she went straight to the table and joined her dad "Morning, dad." She kissed her dad before she took her seat "I'm late for work."

"It's your first day of work after the leave you took, I doubt anyone would mind." Chris, her dad said

"Yea well, Santos is always on about how we all don't do our work. Can't have him on my case the first day after a month." She packed a mouthful of pancakes in her mouth and drank from the glass of orange juice. "I'm off."

"Honey, you've barely had anything." Her mum said as she packed her bag

"I'm late mum, I'll have it later."

"You always say that but never do."

"I love you." She kissed both her parents before she dashed out the door.

That was the last normal morning she had had with her parents. The next day, she had dropped them off at the airport and wished them a safe flight. But their flight was anything but safe.

"Jules honey, you ok?" Selene's voice broke Jules out of her thoughts as she stared at the empty plate in front of her.

"Yes." She looked at her and smiled "I'm fine."

Ceaser watched Jules and noticed the difference in her mood. She had been happy and carefree since she arrived and today, she seemed different. Jules caught Ceaser's gaze and smiled at him and Ceaser knew that second something was wrong because the smile was fake.
It didn't reach her eyes and there wasn't the glow on her face she had when she smiled. It was just a smile, a fake one.

After breakfast, Jules helped Selene clear the table.

"It is ok if I leave for a few minutes?" Jules asked after they had cleared everything

"Of course." Selene said, "The beach I guess."

Jules smiled and nodded.

She had gone to the beach every day since they went together and the manager knew her and let her through which she was grateful for. Jules left the house, took the bicycle and headed straight for the beach, thank goodness she had worn shorts.

Jules arrived at the Beach minutes later and she sighed a sigh of relief when she saw there was barely anyone there. She walked along the shoreline coming up at a secluded spot that people didn't reach. She sat down and looked heavenward. Jules was lost in thoughts and she didn't know when she laid on her back and passed out.

Ceaser walked along the beach searching for her, shorts and an unbuttoned shirt. Jules hadn't shown up for lunch and his mum had told him where she was. He had left Ivy in her care and went in search of her. The beach was empty so it was easy to spot her. He hadn't found her at first but when he looked closer and saw her laid out on the beach. He walked towards her and stared down at her sleeping face. She looked so peaceful without any of whatever it was that was weighing on her. Ceaser squatted and brushed away her hair from her face.

"Jules." He called as he stroked her face "Jules?"

Jules felt a hand on her face and forced herself back to reality as the hand stroked her face. Slowly, she opened her eyes and met his gaze. She sighed as he smiled down at you and sat upright.

"You missed lunch." He told her

"Sorry. I must have slept off."

"You ok?" He asked

Jules stared at him for a moment.

This was Ceaser. He now meant a lot to her and she felt the need to share this part of her life with him.

Slowly, Jules shook her head. Ceaser sighed in relieved glad she had told him the truth. Whatever was bothering her, he wanted to help her through it. Ceaser placed a kiss on her forehead before he rose up. That was when Jules noticed the basket on the sandy beach as Ceaser spread out a picnic cloth on the sandy beach.
"Hop on." He said as he took a seat at the end of the cloth placing the basket in the middle "I got us lunch."

"You haven't eaten?" She asked.

"Couldn't eat without you." Ceaser got out everything from the basket and Jules just watched him and Ceaser caught her "What?"

She shook her head and smiled and they both sat facing the beach and ate in silence with only the sound of crashing waves and chirping birds around them. That was all the calm she needed before she relived that day.

"What happened?" Ceaser's voice broke the silence between them.
