"Hey, Eddy..."

Brett softly said to the man in his arms. Yes, a man, 22 years old now. Time flies but they still remained the same even after all the years. They still spent the night holding each other, relishing the warmth emitted by the other. They still woke each other up by playing Flight of the Bumblebee. They still went out to grab some bubble tea together. They were world-class soloists and even when they had to leave for weeks, they would still fall asleep together while Face-Timing. Well, maybe that wasn't possible all the time due to time-zones, which shouldn't exist. Anyways, they still remained to stick together.

Today was a 'special day' but Brett didn't know why. Eddy took him to a little hilly area, secluded from everyone. The air was clean and fresh. Not much people were around. They were peaceful. "Hmm?" Eddy replied after a long time. He was busy playing with a flower that fell from some tree above them. "What's so special today, hun?" Eddy closed his eyes and smiled wide. "Try to remember, love." Brett's shoulders drooped, and his face contorted a way that would happened when he would be extremely serious. After a couple of minutes he replied, "Can't remember, Eddy. Maybe I'm too hungry." A soft laugh was heard from the man on his lap. "I'll tell you, get up." With that Eddy stood up and pulled Brett alongside too. The view from the little hill was beautiful. "Today, on this day, nine years back, we met Brett Yang." Eddy took a deep breath and continued, "You were with me through everything, good and bad, happy and sad and I just can't thank you enough for that. So my question to the love of my life is, will you make me your husband Brett Yang?" Somehow while talking Eddy managed to grab the velvet box from his back pocket and kneel down. Brett was beaming and his eyes were brimmed with tears. The moment was surreal and he was left with no words. He sat down in front of Eddy and raised his left arm, nodding a 'hell yes!' which left his glasses askew. Eddy's smile was twice as big as Brett's as he slid the band onto the finger, a perfect fit. They were a perfect fit.

It was the simple things in life that mattered the most. And Eddy knew that all too well. Nothing much fancy, nothing too over the top. Just fine, just enough to show how much he cared. How much he loved. Brett was the same too. His actions spoke more than he did and that's what showed how much he adored the younger man.

So much love.
