'Run! Don't look back!' I stared at the old woman in front of me. The scent of fire burning the small houses hit my nose. The screaming and fighting from the families hit me. 'Run Accalia! Don't let them catch you!' She pushed me towards the forest, she held my  face staring into my eyes. 'Never forget who you are.. Run! Now!' So I did, I heard her whisper softly to the moon. 'Please forgive me, for I have failed you..'

I shot up, breathing heavily. Just a bad dream.. at least I thought it was. Leto was growing restless, she wanted some fresh air as did I. I sighed. 'What kind of dream was that?' Leto growled softly. 'Not sure.'

I grabbed one of the old sweaters and opened the door, walking straight into a small, blond woman. She growled at me, narrowing her eyes. She reeked of a familiar scent as my eyes shot to the left. Kena was leaning on the doorpost at the beginning of her stairs. She met my eyes with a cold gaze before walking back upstairs. The woman chuckled before walking down the hallway.

I clenched my fists, as I felt the claws dig into my own palms. The scent of my own blood hit my nose, another door opened to my right. It was Rollin, she was fully dressed in black sweats and a black sweater. She quickly assessed the situation, glancing at the mysterious woman and then back to the state I was in. She carefully took me in. 'Come on..' She whispered, grabbing my arm.

Leto was furious, she was kicking against the invisible door trying to push through. 'Breath Accalia.'

I growled lowly, the sound vibrated through the house which earned a glare from Rollin. I observed her for a little.

Rollin seemed like a sweet, young woman. It kind of surprised me that she was the Gamma of the pack. She was indeed taller than most of the other people I've seen.  All with all appearance isn't everything.

'Leto.. please calm down.'

I wasn't completely aware of where Rollin was taking me. I was too busy keeping Leto in and with  the pain that was slicing me from the inside out. The pain and betrayal.. the betrayal of my mate. Mates weren't supposed to hurt each other. I growled as another pain wave hit me.

Suddenly cold surrounded me as Rollin pushed me into the small lake, I surfaced gasping for air. 'You done?' She seemed bored as she watched me.

'Why did you do that!' I growled. She chuckled as she held out her hand for me to grab. She effortlessly pulled me out of the water, thankfully I could already feel my wolf warm me up.

'For starters, my night shift has started and you were ready to kill whoever got in your way,' She smiled softly. 'What is the matter?' I tried hard to fight the tears that were forming in the corner of my eyes.

I threw my hands in the air, frustrated with Kena. 'I am angry with Kena. I am angry with this woman that reeked of Kena,' Rollin just stared at me, encouraging me to ask the one question I was dying to ask.

'Why the fuck did you bring me here when she doesn't even want me around!' I growled loudly.

Rollin glanced at the moon behind me, before meeting my eyes. 'Kena.. didn't want us to bring you here. She said she couldn't even look you in the eyes after that one night at your old packs territory. Yet her wolf.. was furious with her. Ordering us to do it anyways.' She admitted.

Tears were streaming down my face as the realization hit me. Kena didn't want me here.

'How is that even possible?' I asked my voice barely above a whisper. Rollin raised her eyebrow. 'For her wolf to order you around.. without Kena stopping her.' I explained.

Rollin laughed. Surprised with my lack of knowledge about my own mate. 'You have no clue do you?' I shook my head warily.

'Kena her wolf.. sometimes is more powerful than Kena herself," She paused, struggling with herself and probably her orders. "Look.. Kena links your pack to something we all are still trying to work through. Seeing you with that pack, brought stuff up. Stuff Kena is not ready to work through. Kena her wolf is stronger than most.. she was the one greeting you yesterday. She is also the one that is triggering your wolf beyond its limits. So please be aware.'

'She is right,' A voice spoke behind us. 'Her wolf is just testing her mate. And quite frankly I think her wolf is quite surprised with the power of your wolf, Leto.'  I turned to face the face of an old lady.

'I am Nimue. The Witch of the Luna Tempus pack. Also the witch.. that protected the daughter of the Moon Goddess when the fire erupted,' she started.

'Ah, I see that got your attention. Thank you Rollin, I'll see you tomorrow.' She smiled warmly, Rollin nodded her head before shifting into her wolf rushing towards the woods.

She laughed at the sight, her laugh still seemed so bright, her grey hair was covered in flowers as she supported most of her weight on the cane. But what surprised me most, was the deer behind her, watching her every move and my movement. It clearly wasn't too afraid of being around a wolf.

'Daughter of the Moon Goddess?' Was all I could muster up to say.

She eyed me, tilting her head as she took me in. 'Yes, there is so much you don't know. It is nice to meet you Accalia, far descendant of the daughter of Lycaon.'

Wait what?
