Her face was a work of art itself, with high cheekbones, full lips and a perfectly straight nose. My breath hitches when those gorgeous eyes swept up their long lashes and seared me to the core. My own heated to meet hers.

Her soft chuckle echoed, before I felt her attention shift from me. 'Glad to have your back.'

Dani shrugged, 'I figured I'd just come home, considering you all missed the fun in your lives.'

Kena rolled her eyes. Startling me out of my awe, she turned to me. Her scent swept me up and wrapped me in a blanket of awareness. She walked towards me, fire branded across my chin as her fingers gripped the delicate skin, tipping my chin up so that I had no choice but the look in her eyes. 'What is your name?' She whispered, those fire-born eyes staring into mine.

'Accalia.' I breathed, her eyes lit up like the evening sunset. God she was so breathtaking.

'Hmm,' The low sound caught my attention and drew it to her mouth as her full lips pursed. She released me suddenly, without a parting look at me, she turned to stride into the building. I shook off my wonder, palming my jaw as the warmth she branded across my skin smoldered.

'Well, that was quite the introduction. Went better than I thought it would go.' Dani broke the silence. 'Let's go,' She motioned for me to follow her. 'Let me show you your room.'

I followed her quietly. I wasn't sure what to think of Kena yet, she held something powerful over me. Something I wasn't quite used to, although I knew nothing about having a mate and the way they make you feel. Kena her cold appearance yet her touch was sweet and burned me to the core. I sighed. Dani glanced over her shoulder and her eyes softened. 'Kena.. is a difficult woman. But don't give up on her.'

I smiled, Dani showed me around the gorgeous house. The huge living room lead us to another hallway, it split itself into two different halls. 'To the left.. are rooms for other warriors. The right side is ours, your room will be across off me and Aita,' She paused. 'I apologize in advance.'

I grimaced. The roof of the hall was a gigantic mirror, there were paintings on the wall of different kind of wolves. I recognized the painting of the white wolf and the two wolf next to her. Kena and her brothers, yet Conan was missing. 'Each painting in this house tells a story. The one on the right is a painting about the Greek Gods and the first wolves.' My mind reeled as I struggled to take in the information she provided.

Dani laughed as she noticed the look of frustrated interest, she paused. 'You have no clue huh?' I shook my head. 'After I failed to find my mate, they stripped me of my rank and every right of school. We were mainly used to train the hunting and chasing.'

Dani eyed me, anger evident in them. She opened a door to the right, and walked in. The room smelled like lavender. 'This is my room, just grabbing you some clothes. Aita has plenty,' She grabbed a pair of everything. 'We will have to take you shopping sooner or later anyways.' She tossed clothes in my direction which I tried to catch. She then motioned for me to follow her to a room on the other side of the hall, my eyes were drawn to the staircase at the end of the hall. Dani followed my eyes and chuckled. 'Kena her room is up there and this,' She pushed open the door.

'This is where you'll be staying,' Dani indicated 'Until well.. you know.' She winked. I took in the medium sized room warily, the room had a small cot, a nightstand and a beautiful bathroom. The mattress looked fluffy enough and there were some blankets. 'Aita will drop you off some clothes after she is done with her exercise.'

'Thank you.' I sat down on the bed and sighed. 'I'll leave you to rest a little.' With that she closed the door behind her. I heard her light shuffle to the room across the hall and some giggles..

'Oh, hey Jennifer.' I heard Dani say, completely bored with the presence of the unknown woman.

'Dani,' A woman spoke coldly. 'Let me pass. Kena is waiting.'

I heard some light growling before I heard footsteps fade away.

I rested my head on the pillow. Leto growled loudly. Not happy with the thought of another woman going into her mates room. Something deep inside me was pulling me to Kena. Yet I felt like Kena wasn't too excited to meet me. Her eyes had flashed with a hint of anger before they took a lighter shade. She had left so abruptly as if she was angry with her own behavior.

I sighed as I shifted to my side, letting sleep consume me.
