After my sudden shift I had struggled to shift back. I needed to blow off some steam so Brynn had promised Kena to take me to the forest to hunt. Her grey Lycan form was smaller than mine, but she managed to keep up with me.

Her green eyes darted from me back to the trees in front of us. It was weird shifting into my Lycan, it felt easier and I felt more powerful in this state. I knew my father was able to shift from his wolf to his Lycan. I frowned, I wondered how he was doing. How they both were doing, my mom being stuck in the state between wolf and reality, my father stuck in his wolf form.

I punched a tree in pure frustration, Brynn stopped moving as she eyed me. Not sure of the situation. 'You alright little queen?'

'I just wish it would have been easier, I can't even control Leto in this state. She knows and she takes advantage of the situation.' I snapped in her direction, causing her to flinch. I sighed, taking a deep breath. Leto her low chuckle was the only sound I heard. 'Bitch..'

Brynn moved a little closer. 'You'll get used to your new strength in no time, being a Lycan is more difficult than just your wolf form. Lycans are way more stubborn, it is easy to trigger your shift, they're extremely overprotective, high sex-drive, it is hard to understand when your mate is a wolf. But you'll get used to it eventually.'

She paused, letting the words sink in. I knew being a Lycan would have been completely different than just being a wolf, but add to the Lycan fact, I am the daughter of two stubborn Lycans, a queen and a king.

'Your mother would have been great at teaching you,' Brynn mumbled, her claw digging into the soft sand, 'of course I can teach you some, but royal Lycans are a different kind of stubborn.'

'They're alive.' I whispered, Brynn her eyes shot towards me. Making sure that what I said was exactly what she heard. 'Say again?'

'They are alive. My parents are alive. Your queen is alive,' I paused as her eyes widened in shock. 'I mean, they are kind of?'

'Explain.'

So I did, I explained everything from the moment I fled the castle. How I woke up with the white wolf in front of me. How I triggered my Lycan gene and what my mother told me. At the end Brynn was rubbing her temples trying to keep up with the information I had dumped on her. Her mouth opened and closed a few times as she tried to come up with what to say.

'And you are sure you didn't imagine it?'

I rolled my eyes, 'I didn't.'

Brynn eyed me, 'You are such a moron.'

'Excuse me?' Anger flared up inside me as I turned to face her tinier form. She rolled her eyes.

'Calm down, you can communicate with your mother. Ask her for guidance in what to do next.' Brynn explained.

I frowned, I hadn't thought about that. Last time I mediated in front of her statue, 'How am I supposed to do that?'

'You sit your ass down and calm the fuck down.' She snapped.

Leto growled loudly, not accepting the disrespect from the woman below our rank. Brynn smirked, 'Feisty wolf. Now, is there anywhere around here you will be calm enough?'

I nodded my head, 'There is one spot, I ran there the first time Kena pissed me off.'

Brynn laughed, 'Great memory to a spot that is supposed to keep you calm.'

I rolled my eyes, explaining the place I meant. Brynn frowned, but soon she lead me to the exact spot I meant. It was above the waterfall, on the left I could see the entire packs territory, on the right and in front of me I could see the forest.

It was difficult to sit down with my legs crossed in this form, I closed my eyes trying to concentrate. I focused my senses, calming my heartbeat and my breathing.

'Could you stop chewing,' I snapped, turning towards Brynn who was sitting on the nearby rock. She had shifted back into her human form as she chewed on a piece of gum. She smiled apologetically.

I took a deep breath, closing my eyes once again. 'Okay Leto.. lead the way.' I mumbled softly. She barked happily, forcing me to let go off the control I had. As she guided me.

I gasped for air as I opened my eyes, I was at the exact spot I was last time. 'Mom?' I called out a few times.

I stood, roaming around the forest calling out her name. Leto wasn't responding either, she probably had wandered off like before. 'I wondered when you would show up again.' My mother's voice sounded around me.

Warmth spread through me at the recognition, 'I need your help. You need to train me, please.'

My mother emerged from the tree line with Leto in her wolf form, I rolled my eyes. 'Changing sides I see.'

Leto showed me a wolfish grin, pressing her big head against me. Nearly pushing me over, she seemed so free and happy in this place. 'What do you need help with?'

She watched me cuddle with Leto, watching me intensely. I saw the love she had for me mixed with sadness. 'How do I turn Kena? How do I trigger her gene? How do I even behave as a Lycan?'

She chuckled, holding my hand. 'Breath angel, breath. I will explain as much as I can, but you can't stay in this state for too long. It's dangerous.'

I nodded my head, letting the warmth of my mother surround me. It was weird how easy I got used to her being around me after nearly 24 years of not knowing my own mother.

'I wish I could be there in person to teach you, you being a royal Lycan brings a lot of different things in comparison to a regular Lycan. First of all, your command is the ultimate one, you are stronger, smarter and faster than any other wolf.' She explained.

'Just train, try and work together with Leto in this new state. I would have trained you, I would have loved it. But unfortunately this is something you are going to have to do by yourself. I'll help you from here.'

I sighed, I wanted her to meet Kena. Well the mature version of Kena not the young girl she met. I want her to be at our wedding, to help her train me, help us fight off Cyllene and her army. My eyes widened, 'Cyllene is creating an army of Lycans. When she captured me, she wanted to use me to trigger their Lycan gene. Most of them she killed off.'

Deianira her eyes darted to me, fear clearly evident in them. 'Those poor wolves, triggering a gene is a hard task. Only Royals are able to, unless you are mated. Triggering, or well changing wolves to Lycans could be extremely dangerous. She won't be able to control them, especially if they go rabbit.'

I frowned, 'I'll go warn Kena.'

She smiled, pulling me into a tight hug. 'Don't worry about changing Kena, once you both remark each other. It'll happen when a certain emotion gives her the final push.'

I held my breath, my mother watched me. 'You already marked her didn't you.'

I nodded my head and she couldn't contain her laughter. 'Well Angel, good luck with your mate.'
