~Brynn~

I had to try really hard not to rip his head off. 'You stopped being my friend when you snitched on us to Cyllene.' I forced back my growl, as I recalled the betrayal.

His eyes widened, 'Is that what they told you?'

I growled, looking away from him. He nodded his head, 'I see.'

'What?' I snapped, I hated him with every fiber in my body. I hated him for snitching on us, he and I were best friend for years. We were actually both in the race to become Deianira her Delta.

'Deianira wasn't my kind of Queen. You know that, I didn't agree with the way she ruled the packs. I stayed for you, even when she made you her Delta instead of me,' He growled. He paused, 'Nevertheless, I serve Cyllene but I promised your mother to take care of you. So I am taking you away from here.'

I shook my head, taking a step back. 'I can't.'

He growled. 'Accalia is needed here Brynn.'

'Cyllene is a mad woman, I am not leaving Accalia by herself. She is coming with me.' I snapped at him, he shook with anger. 'I swore an oath, you know the importance of that to us Lycans. Screw you, I am staying.' I moved to open the door, but he instantly smashed it close. The men in the room stopped laughing, I knew they were watching the door.

'What is so special about that girl anyways? Just because she is Kena her mate? And Deianira forced you to take an oath to keep Kena and her mate safe?' He growled.

I raised my eyebrow, I was surprised he didn't know.  I figured the entire pack knew about Deianira her pregnancy, or maybe just the close group. 'Well?'

I stayed quiet, if just Deianira her guardians knew it must have had a reason for the other Lycans to be kept in the dark.  He let out a frustrated sigh. 'Look Brynn, I only took prison duty to bring you to safety. I need to know if saving your little friend is worth my life in case Cyllene finds out.'

He had a point. Kaira growled in the back of my mind, warning me to be careful and I knew she was right. We couldn't risk it. I shut my mouth and crossed my arms.

He nodded his head, 'Alright, do you. I won't be there to safe you.'

I chuckled. 'I don't need saving Jack.'

~Accalia POV~

A loud growl escaped me as yet the sound of another child's neck being snapped hit my ears. I fought the hand cuffs, my eyes glancing over to the tube that was filling my veins with wolfs bane. I bit my tongue as I fought yet another wave of pain.  My chest burned and I knew it was a different kind of pain, the pain of being away from my mate. I squinted my eyes shut as I tried to shut the tears out. Leto let out a soft whimper at the thought of our mate. I missed her voice, her scent, her soft lips and the way her eyes would light up the minute I would enter the room.

Gosh, I missed her so much.

'I am so sorry Kena..' I whispered into the empty room. I shouldn't have fought them off, I should have ran the opposite direction. I should have yelled out for her. Instead, power had surged through me. Telling me I was able to fight them off and I listened. Like the idiot I was, I listened to my freaking Lycan side.

I growled lowly, my senses were on high alert and it was driving me insane. I could hear every single monitor, every single heart that screamed fear and every snapping sound.

'Leto, are you alright?' I feared the worse, she was getting weaker and weaker the longer we were away from Kena. She answered with a soft bark. 'I promise we will get out of here soon.'

My head snapped up as two guards walked into the room, their face was covered with scars. They smoothly removed the intravenous drip, as they re-cuffed my hands behind my back as they pulled me up. 'Where are we going?'

They pushed me out of the door, thankfully they kept me on my feet as the wolfs bane was still rushing through my body. It was hard to advert my eyes from the things and people around me. I let out the breath I was holding when the doors closed behind me.

'Thank god..' I whispered. They lead me through the halls again, we passed a room filled with man, I recognized the smell from before since most of them reeked of alcohol.

'Where are you taking me?' I tried again, turning my gaze towards the man to my right. His eyes met mine, but he chose to ignore me once again. The other man chuckled, 'Don't mind him, he is just upset he lost the bet.'

I eyed him, 'What do you mean?'

'Ain't nothing difficult about that little girl.' He growled, pushing me through yet another door.

'Don stop talking to her.' The other guy warned through his teeth. Don rolled his eyes at his partner, tightening his grip around my arm. 'He stupidly agreed to a bet with our queen, he lost.' He laughed, he seemed to enjoy the stupidity of his friend.

At the end of the hall a door opened, and I was greeted by Cyllene leaning casually on the door post.  They pushed me inside the room, my mouth fell open as the gigantic bedroom showed itself. It was completely dark, in the corner a small desk with papers and documents. Old paintings had been thrown in a corner, ripped apart with. 'Leave us.' Cyllene spoke, the door closed as she turned to meet my eyes.

Her aura was suffocating me slowly as I turned to meet her eyes, her cold stare and her arms crossed. 'You're mother was a born Lycan, just like your father.' She started, walking over to her desk as she poured herself a drink. 'Yet, you're father thought he was an Alpha, well a King until it was time to do what an Alpha does; protect, provide and produce for their woman or pack.'

She took a sip as she circled me. I kept quiet, I wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of my words. She smirked. 'Your father was a lying cheating bastard. Your mother, as much as I hate to say it. She was one powerful woman, strong and fair. Lycans loved her,' Her gaze met mine, I stared right back into her eyes, she chuckled. 'I guess you are a mix of the two, aren't you?'

Her gaze got darker as she walked over to me, her face close to mine. She inhaled my scent and I couldn't suppress the growl that escaped me.  'You reek of wolfs bane.' She stated with a smile.

I rolled my eyes. 'Well obviously.'

She raised her hand, slowly showing her claw. Her sharp nail, scratching my neck. I hissed as I pulled back, baring my canines. She chuckled, 'A wolf wouldn't have survived the amount of wolfs bane we gave you,' She slowly said, tilting her head as a devilish smile formed itself around the corners of her mouth.

'Yet a Lycan would easily survive it. It would burn, but you would live  and that is exactly what you are doing right now.'

Her claw wrapped itself around my throat as she squeezed hard, I tried to force myself to stay calm but it was hard with her squeezing the air out of me. 'Now I wonder,' she whispered softly, 'why you aren't able to shift, yet you are able to make your little friend shift into her Lycan state.'

She dropped me to the floor as I gasped, 'What do you want from me?' I gasped, forcing back a growl.

'Oh little girl, I am going to break you piece by piece until we figure out what is blocking your Lycan and you are going to hate it.' She smiled.

'And Brynn?'

'Easy, I will give you a month and with every day you fail to shift.. your little friend will suffer the consequences.' Cyllene spoke, waving it off as she took a seat behind her desk.

'Guards!' And instantly the doors open as the two men from before grab a hold of my arms.

She smiled, 'You better get some rest princess, it is going to be a long month.'
