We had been running for at least three hours before we reached a darker part of the forest. It was completely silent as we slowly moved through the vines and the branches. No birds, or any other kind of animals was heard.

Nienna stopped as she shook the fallen leaves of her fur. 'This is the spot.' She spoke. Brynn slid of Alora her back as she touched the ground, one by one they shifted back as they got dressed. The last one to shift was me, Dani handed me my clothes.

'What now?' Alora asked me, her eyes shifting from me to the dark forest. I walked over to Brynn as I crouched down next to her, 'Place your hand over the spot, flat hand.' She instructed me and I did, a weird sensation shot up through my arm and I instantly pulled back. 'What is that?'

'Magic,' Brynn simply said. 'Old magic.'

'Well this seems fun, dark forest and old magic. Couldn't get any better than this.' Dani exclaimed with a low growl. Even Rollin seemed on edge here. 'Guys, what is the plan because my wolf and I aren't completely comfortable around here.'

Brynn rolled her eyes. 'Azalea you could, relive her last memory. If you want to at least.'

Her eyes met mine and Alora quickly stepped in, placing her hand on Brynn her shoulder. 'Brynn, I don't think that's a good idea. She won't know how, let alone knows how to handle it. It took you years to master it.'

Nienna agreed. 'Let's just think about what else, hand me the map Dani.' She ordered and the two of them started to point at places, looking at the map.

'I want to try.' I whispered, I wasn't completely sure but I knew I needed to do something. I was sure Kena wouldn't let me come on any more trips after this, especially not alone or without her watching me. 'Alora, this might be the only chance we get.'

Alora her eyes met mine. 'Fine, but I warned you.'

I placed my hand on the spot again, Leto didn't seem to be fond of the idea. 'Close your eyes, you have to work together with Leto. You have to focus on the magic, let it guide you and slowly puzzle her memory together.'

I frowned but followed her instructions, I closed my eyes as I let the weird sensation tingle up my arm again. Leto growled, but for once in her lifetime listened. A low growl escaped me as the painful puzzle pieces flashed through me like a hurricane. It was hard to put it all together, in the distance I could hear Brynn and Alora argue.

'Shut up!' I snarled, they instantly shut their mouths. 'Thank you. It is hard to focus with you two snapping at each other.'

I returned my attention to Leto, letting the pain slash through my brain. It felt like my insides were on fire as I slowly pictured the puzzle together. I was missing something, but what?

With a low growl Leto took over, done with tiptoeing around. She extended her claw and dug in the ground and with that the puzzle was complete.

'Run, run don't look back Mandy. You got this.' I heard the panting, the snarling and the thunderous paws from whatever was chasing this girl. Dodging trances, veins, jumping over rocks. I was exhausted, and nowhere near safety. Fuck, where did I get myself into. I looked back, tripping over a vein as I tumbled down the small hill. I gasped for air as a tree branch pierced my body, within seconds they stood in front of me. Tall, strong and standing on two feet as they bared their canines at me, I whimpered. 'Please, I am so sorry..' I begged but all they did was laugh at my pathetic state, one of them ripped me of the tree branch by my throat, squeezing it tight. 'It is a shame really, another valuable project failed.' His voice was heavy, dark and held no emotions''

'You let the queen know, another of her Lycan failed project has died.' His eyes got dark before he snapped her neck.

I gasped for air, grasping my throat as I stood. Quickly walking away from the spot. Dani instantly by my side, 'Breath Az, breath. You are okay, we are here.'

'What happened?' Alora asked, worry filled her eyes as she tried to step closer. I was still trying to catch my breath. As loud thunderous paws were heard, I snapped my eyes to the dark trees. 'Luna are you okay?'

'Run!' I commanded, they seemed confused at first. 'Fucking Run.' I roared my command, I could see them trying to fight the command as they whimpered when they realized what was going on. 'Now!'

Their feet were slowly moving back, 'Azalea, drop this fucking command right now.' Rollin growled but her wolf was whimpering, following its command. The snarling got louder, the laughing was heard in the back of my mind. Leto suddenly took control, my eyes shining bright as I roared my last command: 'Run. Now. Warn Kena.'

With a loud whimper they ran, all shifting in their wolves. 'We are just.. going to hold them off long enough for them to be safe, Leto..' I whispered.

A hand on my shoulder startled me as I met Brynn her eyes, they were filled with tears as she fought of the pain of the command. 'You are not alone my Queen.' She bit through the pain.

'Brynn...'

'What did you see?' She cut me off, slowly catching her breath as she readied herself for the fight. I knew it were Lycans, it was the same sound as the flashback. She had to leave. 'Lycans.. they killed her. Saying, another failed Lycan project.'

Brynn her eyes widened in shock as she realized what I had done. I had lead the others to safety, while she and I were about to fight for our lives.

'Well.. I made a promise..' She breathed.

A tree branch snapped to my right as a Lycan jumped forward, he was incredibly tall. Somehow it still amazed me, it was the first time I witnessed a true Lycans form. Brynn didn't seem too amazed, she seemed shocked. He lunged forward, I had just enough time to shift as I dodged his attack before biting into his leg, shaking it hard. He growled and whimpered, lunging at my side with his gigantic claw. I yelped as the scent of blood filled my nose.

Slowly but certainly more Lycans surrounded us. I had only managed to attack one and Brynn was already cornered, dropping her head in defeat. 'I am sorry Azalea..' her voice was heard, a hand grabbed her throat lifting her up in the air. 'Noo!' I roared with power I had never felt before, Brynn her eye starting to glow in bright green as the Lycans fell to the floor, covering their eyes.

I shifted as I rushed to her side, Brynn her eyes were glowing green. Her hands were shaking as slowly her claws came out. What was happening? 'Brynn? Are you alright?'

A mischievous smirk formed itself around her mouth. 'Oh queen. You just made it a fair fight.'

She stood, growling loudly as she cracked her neck from side to side and then she shifted. 'Thank you my queen.' A voice was heard, but it wasn't Brynn. It was her Lycan. Her Lycan form was huge, strong and tall. Still a little smaller than the Lycans in front of us, but her grey form looked incredible. Slowly the other Lycans stood, she took them down effortlessly one by one they dropped to the floor, dead.

Suddenly I gasped for air, as pain pierced itself through me. I looked down as blood was spurting out my chest. I looked back and came face to face with a tall, black Lycan. He smirked. Brynn her eyes snapped towards me, 'Surrender or your Queen dies.' He spoke.

I saw her hesitate but I slowly nodded my head. 'We gave them enough of a head start Brynn. It's okay.'

She let out a growl, mixed with a whimper as she shifted back to her human form. The Lycans instantly grabbed her arms, tying it behind her back.

The Lycan behind me dropped me to the ground as he ordered one of his friends to carry me over his shoulder, while applying pressure to my wound.

'I think our queen would be delighted to know we found the the long lost princess Azalea Deianira Lycaon.'
