They blurred back into the eyes of the woman in front of me. 'Ivy.' I spoke softly, she smiled softly. Grabbing my hands, squeezing them tightly. 'You look.. so much like your mother.' She pulled me into a hug.

'You should get to know each other a little better. Kena and I have some work to discuss.' Alpha Amaruq spoke. Kena eyed me. I smiled. 'It is alright.' I kissed her lips.

Kena her fingers lingered a little longer before following her brother. Ivy eyed me, 'Let's take a walk.'

We walked in silence for a little while. The only sound that we could hear was the sound of the guards following us around.

'What vision did you have?' She questioned, 'It was all over your face dear.' She answered my unasked question.

'It was about you.. and my mother. About keeping Kena safe.' I answered honestly, glancing at the older woman. 'It wasn't about Kena dear, it was about you,' She smiled softly, she was a kind woman. I didn't know my mother, but I could see why she liked her.

'It has come to my attention that.. you know nothing about your wolf. Let alone Kena and your history.'

I kicked a rock. 'Yeah, you could say that.'

She chuckled. 'I am sorry. I am guessing Kena is treating you right?'

'What kind of woman was my mother?' The question slipped, her green eyes were studying me. She chuckled. 'I was starting to wonder when you were going to ask me that question.'

We stood on a hill, looking out over the party. I looked around and I realized the guards were gone. 'They're hiding in the woods, don't worry.'

Oh, I wasn't worried. With an ancient Luna and me being a puppy compared to her. I sighed. 'To answer your question, my parents are completely new to me. They told me the story about my father, Lycaon. How he had an affair with my mother. How is actual wife, is trying to kill me.'

'That kind of covers it,' She smiled. 'The God Leto, gave birth to Apollo and Artemis. She went to Lycia with them to bathe her children in a spring. Out of nowhere wolves came out to meet her, and wagging their tails. They lead her to the river Xanthus, where she drank the water and bathed them.'

I raised my eyebrow. 'I see.'

'Ýears later, Leto disappeared but a baby had been left around the river. Apollo quite quickly took over the wolves, as he became the protector and master of the wolves.'

'That baby was my mother?'

She chuckled. 'Correct. She grew up under the wings of Apollo and Artemis, soon she took over the pack. She became one of the strongest, most caring Alpha's ever. Everyone feared her. It was only years later where she found out about the Moon Goddess, having four children of her own. Which lead to the packs we have now, sure more packs have created their own territory,' She glanced towards me.

'When I mated with Amaruq, she was there to meet me. God, I was truly surprised to learn I was mated to an Elder. The pressure I felt on my shoulder that day. But Deianira calmed my nerves, she even showed me the ropes. When Kena turned four.. no one could take her away from Deianira. We all knew Kena would be extremely powerful, that being the only daughter,' She paused.

'It was then we learned Deianira had mated with Lycaon, as she was pregnant with you. We all knew what that meant, you were mated to Kena.'

'How is that possible? We aren't supposed to know who our mate is until we are 18.' I turned towards her. A small smile formed itself on her face, yet her eyes showed sadness.

'You have.. ancient blood. You could have known who you mate was by the age of three. Yet you wouldn't have known the meaning of it. You wouldn't be able to explain why you wanted to stay near that person, why you would cry when they left. It is because your wolf wasn't aware of it yet.'

'So.. if we all knew I was mated to Kena. What happened?' I forced my tears back.

She squeezed my arm. 'Your father his wife.. found out. Furious, she promised to hurt anyone who angered her. Deianira refused to give in, we brought Kena to safety. When you were born we rushed you to a safe place. With my sister.'

'Witches.' I whispered. It would explain her green eyes, and the strange aura she had around her.

'Yes, quite soon after Deianira had disappeared. Just like Leto had done back then.'

Leto barked softly in the back of my mind, supporting me as the reality hit me. She held my hand, 'You are just like your mother dear, the same eyes.. the same hair.. the same facial expressions. The same, feisty personality. We are sorry we failed to keep you safe, but we are extremely happy you and Kena found each other. But remember, there is always dang-'

Loud growling stopped our conversation, as my head snapped into the direction of the sound. A group of at least thirty wolves came rushing through the woods. '-er adhead..' She finished. Without even thinking, she rushed back. The guards quickly shifted as they followed her pace.

I sprinted back. The sound of wolves fighting, flesh ripping and the fear that held my body. The pack line was filled with warriors calling out orders to each other.

'Another group at the east side of the forest!' I recognized Rollin her voice, as she rushed towards the east side with a group of warriors. Leto growled in the back of my mind as pain hit me. We lost one..

Another pain wave hit me. Tears filled my eyes, No.. what do I do. I looked around the territory. Warm arms wrapped themselves around me. 'Dear, shut down the link.. it makes it easier for you to focus,' Nimue her voice spoke. 'Breath..'

I took in a deep breath, closing my eyes. I focused my hearing on the sounds around me. They were fine on the east and west side. My eyes widened as I focused my attention on the north.

Without thinking I shifted and rushed forward, I felt powerful as Leto leant me her strength. At the site, some of our wolves were bleeding badly and some were struggling to stand. In the distance I saw Kena and Ivy fight six rogues. I growled, baring my teeth as I lunged forward. Biting down hard on one of the rogues. Kena her soft purring was heard through our mind link.

Within five minutes we had killed them all, except one. He had shifted back, shivering on the cold floor. Kena quickly ordered two warriors two bring him down to the cell.

Through the mind link I could hear Rollin and Rieka saying everything was under control. After we shifted back I rushed into the arms of Kena, inhaling her scent. Slowly but certainly I calmed down.

'You did great love..' She kissed my temple as we helped the warriors return to the pack house. They were healing fast, thankfully.

Rollin walked over to us. 'Kena..' you have to see this.' She handed us a piece of paper. 'We found this attached to one of the rogues.'

Kena let her eyes roam over the paper, as an anger growl left her throat. Handing me the paper.

'Until next time Alba Lupi. Much love, Cyllene.'
