Nick's POV

"Mom! I'm hungry!" Shouts Adam from the living room.

I stare at mom as she shuts her eyes in frustration and mutters something underneath her tone, she ignores Adam for what it's worth and continues stirring whatever is in that pot.

My Mom is a pretty great cook, she once worked at an expensive restaurant so she learned how to cook a lot of delicious dishes.

My phone vibrates on top of the kitchen counter, it's a text from Jason.

*Dude, the party began an hour ago, where the hell are you* it reads.

Shit, I forgot.

Honestly, I have no idea why this Jason guy is being nice to me after I made out with his girlfriend on Monday, I mean, I didn't know she was his girlfriend and she just came out of nowhere, sat on my lap and started flirting with me, I thought it was her way of saying welcome, so yeah I kissed her back and I know for sure that he saw us.

*Be right there* I reply.

Adam walks into the kitchen, taking the seat next to me on the kitchen counter, little shit's always hungry.

"Mom? Can I have some ice cream?" He asks her.

"Mom? can I go to a party?" I ask her.

She pauses, sending a friendly yet serious glare directly to me.

"No and No." she shakes her head, looking at both of us.

"C'mon, Megan, why not?" I whine like a child.

Adam giggles at my reaction.

"Because it's Wednesday and I don't trust you yet." she goes straight to speaking her mind.

That stings a little bit, I know I did a lot of shit that made her lose trust in me but ever since she decided to move us to this God forsaken town, I have tried to change my old habits for her, in order to make her parenting so much more easier but I guess she doesn't notice.

"Don't you think it's kind of responsible of him to even ask you? He's never done that before." Adam rolls his eyes at the last part.

Good thing he fucking noticed.

She looks between Adam and I, back and forth.

"Who invited you?" She sighs.

"My friend Jason." I answer honestly.

"Hell no, his name is Jason and he's the host of the party? Nickolas, why can't you hang out with normal kids like that girl next door." she points out.

I knew she would bring that girl up eventually. But why wouldn't she bring her up? She's the straight A student who doesn't curse or acts like a teenager and she happens to live right next door so why fucking not?

"She's a weird nerd and I'm not a normal kid so I need to hang out with my fellow abnormal kids, can I fucking go or what?" I can't help but feel a little irritated by this unnecessary conversation.

"Watch your language." she points a warning finger at me, "okay, you can go but only on one condition." she raises her index finger in the air.

"Anything." I smile.

"Take this dish nextdoor to the Parkers and be home by 11pm sharp." she informs, my smile drops on the floor.

"That's actually two conditions." Adam reminds her, raising two fingers. Mom mouths for him to shut up.

"Why do I have to take it?" I say more to myself, grabbing the big bowl of what looks like chicken soup in my hands.

"Do you really want me to answer that?" She asks.

Yes.

"No."

"Okay, bye sweetheart, have fun, I love you." she says cheerfully.

"Love you too." I respond lazily walking out of the house.

I take a deep breath before ringing the doorbell to Allison's house, after the third ring, the door swings open, revealing Allison, who is already in her SpongeBob pajamas. Yeah, SpongeBob.

I'm not surprised, I expect this and a lot more weird stuff from her.

"Oh it's just you." she rolls her eyes, sounding disappointed, "Mom, it's not the pizza, it's just this moron from nextdoor!" She rudely shouts to her mother while looking at me straight in the eyes.

Stupid bitch.

She thinks she's all smart and shit but I wish she knew exactly how guys like me look at girl's like her, I bet that guy she was holding hands with yesterday is probably the only guy she has ever fucked with, but then again, I look at her and I see a virgin or maybe I just can't imagine a smartass like her moaning naked in bed with anyone.

Touché.

"I'm not in the mood for your awesome come backs today, princess, but thank you for trying. my mom sent me to drop this off." I forward the bowl to her.

She looks at it and then back at my face before taking the bowl into her own hands. Literally.

"This smells wonderful." she says, with a grin on her face.

I only try to talk to this girl because she reminds me of Kayla most of the time.

"Hey Nick, come on in." greets Allison's Mom, gesturing for me to get inside their home.

That's quite nice of her, I can see why my Mom likes her so much. Unlike her evil daughter who was planning on leaving me standing here.

"No thanks, I'm actually late to a party." I give her an assuring warm smile.

"Oh, I see, have fun then." she turns to look at her daughter who is busy staring at me blankly.

I think she wants me to invite her daughter.

"Allison, wanna come with me?" I ask.

"Heck no." she passes the bowl to her Mom and attempts to walk away but her mom grabs her wrist.

"Sweetie, it's just a party, not the end of the world." her Mom tries to convince her.

I wonder what would happen if she were to get drunk.

"Mom, I don't like parties, I'm not a party person so please don't push it, Dad sure wouldn't force me to go to a party with a boy I barely know." she whispers the last part and wrecks her hand.

I don't know what it was but part of what she said made her Mom look a little sad that she just walks away without saying anything else to Allison.

"I am not that much of a stran-"

"You can shut up now, party boy." she cuts me off. That annoys me.

"Okay you don't get to tell me when to shut up, you spongey pants bitch." my eyes drop to her pajama pants.

Who does this chick think she is? Gigi Hadid?

"Douche pants." she shuts the door in front of my face.

Did she just call me douche pants?

I was told never to cuss at ladies, so I will not call her a stupid childish bitch again.

-

After a couple minutes of driving myself to Jason's house, I finally pull up in his driveway which is already occupied with other cars, I stare at the gigantic house through my windshield.

Wow, I knew he was a rich kid but I didn't know he was this rich.

I get out of my car, locking it and walking towards the entrance. As always, there are a couple of people outside, making out, fighting, puking and all sorts of madness that happens at parties.

I open the front door and let myself inside, Loud rap music hits my ears, there are people everywhere and all of them are either drinking, dancing, smoking pot, making out or playing stupid party games and to top it all off, the house is littered with red cups and people are already wasted.

I'm starting to doubt the fact that it's only Wednesday and not Friday.

"Nickolas Adams has arrived!" Shouts Jason on top of his lungs and some of them cheer.

Damn.

"You are late, asshole." he slaps my shoulder playfully and wraps his arm around neck, wrestling me.

Okay so we're friends friends.

"I'm sorry, I had stuff to attend to." I respond, still looking around the place.

"Yeah right." he sounds like he doesn't believe me.

He leads the way to the living room where we find some familiar faces, they are all sitting on a big round sofa, probably playing some game, we take our seats and I spot Sofia sitting on the opposite side of the sofa.

She blows me a kiss and I look elsewhere. I don't want drama with anybody, I already had that in New York.

"So Nick just got here, Nick Truth or Dare?" Asks Sofia, I turn to look at her again, she smirks at me, sipping on her drink. Bitch much?

Fuck, I hate this shitty game.

Everybody is waiting for me to pick an option but I really don't want to.

"Uhm.. Dare I guess." I pick, feeling unsure of myself.

I have a lot of secrets so picking truth and revealing them to a bunch of wasted teenagers is not really the best thing I can think of doing.

"I dare you to pass one of those ice cubes into Amanda's mouth using your tongue." she dares, pointing at the ice cubes that are on the glass table.

First of all, that was weirdly specific and secondly that's actually pretty easy, I don't know why Sofia has that devilish smirk on her face right now but I'm down.

I lift myself up from the sofa, throwing an ice cube in my mouth and looking around the circle of people for this Amanda person who I definitely do not know.

"Oh she's right there." says Sofia, pointing at a beautiful brunette, who's sitting at the staircase and texting on her phone.

Damnit.

I rush towards the girl, trying to get there before the ice melts in my mouth, I kneel down beside her when I reach her, grabbing her neck and placing my lips on hers_swiftly passing the icecube into her mouth just like I was dared, her tongue feels so warm against my cold one.

She pulls away and spits the ice in her red cup.

"What the actual fuck, dude?" she growls, sounding angry at me.

Ah shit.

She looks up at me then she suddenly smiles. Yeah, she smiles.

Weird? I think not, every girl has been smiling at me since my first day.

Except one.

That one is a bitch so she doesn't count.

"Hey." she greets, awkwardly waving her hand at me.

She's really pretty.

"Hey." I do the same thing, "sorry about that, I was.. dared" I explain myself, pointing to the living room.

"It's okay actually I-"

"Hey guys." Jason bugs in from nowhere.

Amanda looks up at him and her soft expression changes, now I can see hurt in her eyes.

"See you around, Nick" she gets up and literally runs away.

She knows my name? How does she know my name?

"You are not into her, are you?" Jason asks me, noticing the way I'm watching her leave. Tight ass.

"I think I might be but there's something off about the way her whole mood changed when she saw you." I glance at him.

Jason runs both his hands through his blonde locks and sits down on a step.

"She's the girl that I used to cheat on Sofia." he doesn't sound too proud about it.

"You used her?" I arche my brows.

"Yes, at first it was all about using her but I ended up falling for her and someone amongst my friends told her the truth then she dumped my ass." he now looks sad and miserable. I almost laugh at this story but I bite my lower lip in order to stop the laugh from coming out.

I move to sit next to him, "But what about Sofia?"

"I don't give a shit about Sofia, she's the reason why this whole mess started in the first place." he gets up and heads upstairs.

Quite the fucking drama for a small town.
