Allison's POV.

Two weeks later.

A fractic knock on my window drags me out of sleep, I groan before switching on my lamp and glancing at my clock, it's midnight and as far as I know, Nick and I haven't spoken in two whole weeks. I know for sure that it's him but I don't know why he's here at midnight. I bring myself to my feet and stroll over to my window.

As soon as I open the window, Nick rushes inside, closes it shut then walks over to turn off my lamp in a hurry.

What is happening?

"What the heck are you doing?" I draw my brows together in question.

"Shh!" I hear him shush me.

It's pitch black and I can't see his face but I can see his figure. He's standing still and trying his best not to make a sound.

"If you're gonna hide from your mom the lea-"

I'm cut off by his strong hand covering my mouth and the other one holding my neck. His breathing heavily and his skin is so hot.

And like it hasn't been two weeks, everything just comes back to me.

The heat. The rapid heartbeat. The shivers. The dizziness. The want.

"Please shut up, I'll be gone before you know it but shh for now." I feel his hot breath hitting my forehead as he whispers to me, looking into my eyes.

I try to remove his hand but unfortunately his too strong, he peeks out the window and just navigates for a while. He sighs deeply and lets go of my mouth, releasing me completely.

I want his hands back on me again.

I walk back to my bed to switch on the lamp, Nick takes his phone out and murmurs something to himself.

"So why are you in my room?" I plop down on my bed.

He diverts his eyes from his phone to me.

He has a blank stare, no smirk or smile just nothing.

"Not everything is about you, Allison and please don't respond to that, I'm really not in the mood for an argument before a make out session, if you want to make out with me just ask don't start it with a fight." There's actual seriousness in his tone.

I scoff as I look elsewhere then back at him.

I don't even know what to say to that.

Because it's true.

"Please leave." I point to my window.

"I'll get to that in a minute, can I use your phone?" He shoves his phone back into his pocket and asks.

"You live right next door, who would you wanna call?" I ask.

"Miles, I want to find out if he's okay."

"Why?" I ask.

"We were being chased by a couple of junkies but we split up and I think he might have hurt his leg during the run." He informs me.

"Oh my God, are you okay?" I stand, walking over to him and looking at him everywhere.

"Didn't know you gave a shit but yeah, I'm fine." He says, his tone isn't playful. feeling embarrassed I take a few steps back.

I pass him my phone and he dials Miles's number.

"Dude, where the hell are you?" He asks and I'm sure Miles responds to Nick's question but I don't quite get the response.

"Shit, okay stay there I'll come get you" He says before hanging up then he rudely tosses the phone back to me.

"You're welcome?"

"Thanks." He turns around and walks towards the window.

"Hey wait, where is he? Is he okay?" I ask, sounding concerned.

"No, he twisted his ankle and he's at some chick's house, she lives around this neighborhood so I'm gonna go look for that house." He opens the window.

"What's the chick's name maybe.. I know.. her." I fumble with my own words.

He sighs softly then turned his head to face me again.

"I have no idea and honestly I don't give a shit and what's your deal? One minute you hate me and want to help me the next?" He asks.

"Believe it or not it confuses me too." My tone came out lower than I planned.

He chuckles and shakes his head at me.

"Allison Parker, my my." He says.

I roll my eyes, "Can I help or not?"

"Sure, c'mon." He gestures and starts climbing out my window, I amble to the window and watch him land safely on the ground.

In order to get down there, I have to slide down a pipe and I'm not really sure if that's safe.

"Well? You coming?" He flies his hands in the air.

"I'll just use the front door." I swing my thumb over my shoulder.

"And risk the chances of your mom waking up?" He asks.

Damnit.

"I think I'm scared." I admit.

"You think?" He crosses his arms over his chest. "C'mon princess, don't be a pussy."

"Hey! Language." I point at him warningly.

"Sorry." He surrenders, "hurry up, will you?"

I throw my phone down to him before closing my eyes shut as I grip on the pipe and let my body slide down, and before I know it, my bare feet meet the grass and I open my eyes.

Nick's grinning face is the first thing I see.

"Still alive huh?"

"Whatever." I roll my eyes at him.

We begin walking in awkward silence, I lead the way to the address which Nick had showed me earlier. We reach the house and turns out I know the chick.

"Her name is Grace." I say as we stand on her porch.

"What?" He shows a puzzled face.

"The chick's name is Grace." I turn my head to look at him.

"Okay?" He says it more like a question.

"No, it's not okay. It's not okay for you not to care about knowing someone's-"

"Blah blah blah, I'm really not in the fucking mood for this." He cuts me off.

I feel the anger raising, I seriously hate it when people like Nick do this to people like Grace and myself.

He pulls out my phone from his pocket and texts Miles, he then orders me to follow him to the back where we find Grace treating Miles's leg.

"Oh my God, did you get stabbed?" I rush to him.

"Shhh!" they both shush me.

"Don't raise your voice, my Dad's inside." She whispers to me. I just nod in response.

I take a look at the injured leg, Grace already wrapped a bandage around his leg but I can still see the blood he lost.

It's making my stomach turn.

"Did you lose them?" Miles asks Nick.

"I think so." Nick responds.

"Whatever it is that you kids are involved in, I'd advise you to get the hell out before someone gets seriously hurt." Says Grace, I nod my head in agreement.

"Are you insinuating that we're involved in some kind of shit?" Nick asks Grace in a harsh tone.

"No, I'm just saying." She shrugs.

"Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong, okay? Grace?" He puts emphasis on her name.

"Same goes to you." She starts packing up her accessories in the first aid kit. "It was nice helping out." She stands up ready to leave but Miles grabs her hand. She looks down at him.

"Thank you, Grace. I'd be dead by now if it weren't for you and I am truly sorry." His words are sincere and the stare they are exchanging screams chemistry!

Nick and I glance at each other.

He mouths, "what the fuck is happening?"

I mouth back, "I have no idea."

Grace awkwardly clears her throat, "You're welcome. Goodnight." She literally runs away from him.

SILENCE.

"Wow, that was intense." Nick chuckles.

"It wasn't intense, it was sweet, he was being really nice to Grace, unlike some people I know." I defend then refer to him.

"Don't worry Allison, you're not gonna have to put up with me soon." He helps Miles get on his feet. Wrapping Miles's arm around his shoulder.

Feeling like that statement meant something, I ask, "What do you mean?"

"Nothing." we start walking out of Grace's yard.

"Just tell me." I push.

"He means he is leaving town, he's going back to New York." Miles responds.

"Dude, not cool." He looks at Miles.

"What? It's not like she wasn't bound to find out." Says Miles.

"What, Wait, you're really going back to New York?" I step in front of them and they halt in their steps.

"Yes." Nick answers.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because I don't like it here and no one here likes me." He responds with a shrug.

"Hey!" Miles slaps Nick's arm playfully.

"Except for you, of course." Nick smiles at his friend, Miles smiles back.

I roll my eyes at their bromance.

"Hey, why all of the sudden?" I snap my fingers in front of his face to get his attention.

"Well I don't know, I guess I can't stand having you on my bad side and I just can't stay here and watch you date someone else, and please don't misinterpret my words, I'm not leaving because of you. I'm leaving because I want to leave." He looks serious while saying all that. They walk passed me and Nick bumps into my shoulder 'accidentally'

I don't know why but the idea of Nick leaving town kinda bums me.
