šŸ’«GISELLEšŸ’«

"Why, thank you." Grinning as I walked over to the barstool he once occupied, I took a seat, watching him as he tried to copy the bowl I'd just made. Once it was done, he sat next to me, handed me a spoon, and we shared the ice cream like civilized humans.

"Happy now?" He smirked.

"Mm-hmph" I hummed with satisfaction, unable to speak with such a full mouth.

"Giselle, I don't think I ever met a girl that ate as much as you."

"Welp. First time for everything."

"Indeed." With that, Angel picked up the bottle and took two swigs, handing it to me after and I followed suit.

"I'm already so trashed."

"Oh, I know."

"That's your plan? Get me drunk my first night at your place?"

"Who said you were staying over?" If he hadn't smiled right after, I would've taken that question seriously, but he made sure to reveal his intensions quickly.

"Me." I countered, tapping my spoon on his nose.

"Don't do that. We already got ice cream everywhere."

"What you going to do if I do it again?"

"Tackle your little hungry ass."

"Oh my God, you wouldn't."

"Oh, but I would." Angel stood, challenging me if I dared to do anything crazy.

"Look at you!" I jumped up. "You're ready to take my head off."

"More like ready to take the rest of these strings off." Eyeing my body from head to toe, he licked his lips slowly.

"You can't. We're not having sex tonight."

"I know. We're having a 'party' like you said." He teased me, kissing my cheek and walking into the living room.

"Don't turn on the tv." I whined. "TVs aren't at parties. Lets play a game." I stood up and skipped over to where he was, sitting on the floor beneath him.

"Okay. What game?"

"Truth or dare." I snickered.

"Real mature." Rolling his eyes, he turned on the tv.

"Angel!"

"Giselle!" Mocking me, he began flipping through the channels.

"Lets play." I whined.

"Okay." Angel put the remote down. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Lame."

"Hmph."

"Is it true that you..." He stopped, seemingly thinking of something to say. "Ooh. Is it true that you liked when V kissed you that night at the bonfire?"

"Really?"

"Answer the question."

"Yes. She's a great kisser."

"I wouldn't know." He huffed.

"Because you supposedly 'threw up' when you kissed her."

"I really did." He laughed.

"Okay."

"Have you kissed girls prior to that?" He changed the subject quickly.

"Nope. She was my first. That's two questions" I announced, holding up two fingers after licking the ice cream off.

"Damn, really?" Angel completely ignored my last statement, continuing on with feeding his curiosity.

"Yes. I'm a pretty wholesome girl...give or take a few instances of poor judgement."

"A few, eh?" eyebrows raised, I could tell he was being funny.

"My turn. Truth or Dare?"

"Truth." He smirked.

"Copycat." I rolled my eyes, sitting up a little as I thought of something to ask. "You're afraid of commitment."

"Damn. We're going there?"

"Answer." I rolled my neck.

"Okay." Angel laughed nervously, running his fingers through his hair. "Define commitment."

"Angel."

"Cool. That may be true. I've never thought about it. I justā€”I don't know."

"Say it."

"I don't know what it's like to be 'with' someone. You knowā€”in a serious way. I had one girl friend and shit went so bad that I never took anyone else serious. And that was like five years ago."

"Jesus!"

"Right."

"It's because she broke your heart, right?"

"Indeed."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. You're mending it fairly well." Angel looked down, fidgeting with the drawstring on his pants. I watched him for a while, as he inhaled and exhaled slowly, avoiding eye contact and doing a terrible job of pretending to be okay.

"Is that why you want to take it slow? Get to know each other better before we take it to another level?" I finally broke the silence.

"I just want to do this the right way. I'm young, but you're even younger. Neither of us are mature at this point. We do dumb shit, a lot. I don't want to hurt you and I can't allow you to hurt me."

"You sure you're going to know how to treat me right?"

"Are you sure you're going to know how to treat me right?"

"Meaning?"

"Nothing." He slouched back onto the couch. "Truth or dare."

"Truth."

"You loved me before I loved you."

"False."

"No it's not." He hissed.

"Cocky much?" I frowned, raising up to my knees to get a better look at him. "What makes you so sure?"

"The way you use to stare at me. The first day you saw me. I saw you too. But you saw me. The way you studied me, conjuring up your idea of what you thought I was."

"What?" I laughed nervously.

"Hanigan's. You came in with Max. You met Sevyn. You stared at me for so long. Every time I looked your way you looked away, pretending you weren't sitting there dissecting every part of me."

"Okay?"

"So, it's true, right?"

"I guess." For some reason my adrenaline was running wild. Butterflies having a field day in my stomach, I felt my nerves throwing darts inside of me. Was he right? Did I love him first? I always thought that I loved him the first day I saw him, but I didn't mean it in actuality. I only meant that I was drawn to him, mesmerized by his aura. "You were new to me. There was this energy around you that I couldn't understand, but I felt drawn to it. So sometimes, I'd look your way and find it hard to look away. Is that considered love?"

"I don't know. Shit was weird at first. But you're so beautiful that I was completely flattered. And you have that same thing going for you. You'd walk in a room and pour out the sweetest, most feminine energy. I would watch you interact with everyone else, always happy and pure. I could see how everyone else was also drawn to you, wanting to be near you, embracing you, engaging in meaningless conversation. I had to be near you." wiping the back of his fingers across my cheek, he took the time to admire me for a moment. I put an end to it before I got distracted.

"Next. Truth or Dare?"

"Dare." Angel winked.

"Oh!" Surprised, I laughed at how confident he sounded.

"I dare you to strip down to your briefs."

"What if I'm not wearing any?"

"Okay. Free balling?" Teasing him, I reached for his lap, feeling to see if he really wasn't wearing underwear. He wasn't. "So, strip."

Without hesitating, he ripped off his shirt, flexing his abs and chest. Then his arms. His toned body radiated a wave of vigor. I wanted those arms around me. Those ink infused limbs, strong, powerful, and eager to constrict my body as I sat weakened and vulnerable.

"Now, run down the hall and back." I smirked.

"Oh fuck no!" Angel laughed, then stopped to see if I was serious.

I didn't budge. My sly, half smiled was plastered on my face as I looked at him, challenging him without words.

"See! Immature!" He complained, walking towards the door slowly.

"Don't get mad. You agreed to play this game." I laughed, face burning from the lack of oxygen.

Angel opened the door, peeking out as he checked for witnesses. There was no one there, but once the volume of his stereo blared through the open door, I was sure someone would come out soon.

"Go!" I chuckled, pushing him out the door. I quickly took out my phoen, filming him as he ran, butt ass naked down to the end of the hall. On his way back, one of his neighbors opened the door. She was an older lady. Once her stare locked in on his naked body, she squealed. Angel darted past her, making his way toward me. Literally, on the floor, dying from laughing so hard, we both were shocked when V's door popped open.

"What the fuck is goingā€”" She saw me on the floor and stopped. Once Angel made it back to the door, naked, she looked him up and down. "Oh...what the fuck are y'allā€”" Vanessa joined me on the floor as she seemingly lost all feeling in her legs. She laughed just as loud. Just as hard. Angel's face went red as he pushed through the door and went for his pants.

"I'm sorry V! I hope we didn't wake you." I apologized as I wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Ha! Ha! Laugh it up. It's my turn now." Angel grumbled.

"What the hell are y'all doing?" V asked, standing to her feet.

"Oh nothing." I chirped, returning to the inside of Angel's apartment.

"Sorry, V." Angel apologized. "Hope we didn't wake you up."

"Nope. I was up." Her voice went low, eyes wandering. "Okay. Well...good night." Then slammed her door.
