Julia's POV

"Well, I have some good news." the doctor stated.

"Oh thank god." I breathed.

"Both of the patients have survived and are doing okay. The bullet wound luckily didn't hit any vital organs or the baby, meaning that we could perform the surgery, but we had to perform an emergency C-section to get the baby out. Fortunately, Ivy was 8 months along meaning that the baby is premature but will be okay by themselves, however they'll both have to stay in the hospital for a while so that we can keep an eye on things." he explained.

"T-they're okay?" Blade stammered. "M-my baby's been born? Can I see them?"

"Yes, that should be okay but I'd suggest seeing her in small groups. Ivy has only just woken up and the baby is in the NICU for now."

"Thank you doctor, thank you so much!" Blade smiled in relief.

"Cyrus and I will stay here...you go and see them." Reed said.

"Thank you!" I breathed, hugging him tightly beside me.

Blade and I rushed through the corridor and into the room that Ivy was staying in.

When we walked in, I saw Ivy lying on the bed connected to different wires and machinery.

She looked weak...but she was so strong.

Blade rushed to her side and took her hand immediately.

She was awake, but not fully.

She slowly turned her head to smile at Blade as he planted a kiss on her forehead.

I could see him tearing up once more as he kissed her hand too.

"You're okay baby. I'm so happy you're okay. I don't know what I would've done without you." He whispered through his tears.

"Blade...we have a baby boy." Ivy whispered weakly.

"W-we do? It's a boy?" He smiled.

"He's beautiful." she nodded as I began to cry again.

Watching the two of them like this made me so emotional.

As I let out a small sob, I caught Ivy's attention as she smiled towards me and beckoned me to her side.

"I'm so glad you're okay Iv. I'm so sorry this happened." I cried.

"It's okay." she smiled. "You're an auntie to my baby boy Julia."

"I'm so happy for you, I can't wait to meet him." I whispered.

"His name is Jamie Reed Goodman."

"Reed?" I smiled as I wiped the tears from my cheek.

She nodded as I held her hand tightly and exchanged glances with Blade.

"Blade and I agreed that if it was a boy we'd name him after his best friend...and if it was a girl then we'd name her after mine."

"If it was a girl you were going to name her after me?"

"Yes." they said in sync.

"Oh my- I love you guys. I'm so glad you're both okay Ivy." I said as I attempted to hug her ever so carefully.

"You can go home Jules, you look like you need the rest." she said.

"Really? Are you sure that you'll be okay?" I asked.

She nodded before looking back at Blade with a wide smile on both of their faces.

"Okay, I'll come back a little later to see you then." I smiled before giving them both a hug and leaving the room.

I walked back into the waiting room to see Reed and Cyrus both asleep beside each other again and I couldn't help but laugh slightly.

I went over to Reed and shook him gently on the shoulder.

"Reed, baby, we can go home now." I whispered.

"W-we can? Is Ivy okay? What about the baby?" He rambled getting up onto his feet.

"Ivy's okay. She's a little sore which is understandable but she only seems to care about their baby." I explained.

"How is the baby?"

"It's a boy and his name's Jamie Reed." I smiled.

"What? They named him after me?" he said as a huge smile appeared on his face and I nodded.

"That's amazing...I can't wait to meet him." he said.

"Me too, but for now we can go home and get some rest...then we can come back tomorrow okay?"

"Okay, let's go."

Reed then took my hand as we made our way out to the car.

I couldn't wait to meet Jamie, he sounded just perfect and Blade and Ivy both deserved this happiness.

Blade's POV

When the doctor told me that they were both okay, I was so relieved. So happy.

If anything had happened to them, I wouldn't have known what to do...but they were both fine. I was so thankful for that.

"I can't believe we have a son." I choked out, clinging to Ivy's hand and never wanting to let go.

"I know, he's so perfect Blade. He has your eyes." she smiled.

"C-can I meet him?" I asked.

As if on command, a nurse entered the room with a large smile on her face.

"Excuse me? Are you Jamie's father?" she asked.

That was the first time it kicked in...I was a father, and it was the best feeling in the world.

"Y-yes, that's me." I said, standing up to talk to the nurse.

"Would you like to meet your son?"

I simply nodded as she took me out of the room. I quickly kissed Ivy before following the nurse to the NICU.

When we got there, my baby was lying there in the large nursery. He was attached to this machinery and looked so tiny.

I looked through the glass at my sleeping baby and couldn't help but tear up a little.

"He's so small." I mumbled.

"Yes, premature babies are a little smaller. Would you like to hold him?" She offered.

I stared at her with wide eyes as I spoke.

"Can I?" I said, as I didn't know if that was a possibility.

"Of course."

She handed me a pair of gloves for safety precautions and then took Jamie out of his nursery.

She carefully passed me my son and told me how to hold him properly.

The second I held him, it was completely overwhelming.

He was so perfect and I couldn't believe that he was ours.

"Hey little man." I whispered as I held him close to my chest.

He squirmed around in my arms a little before getting comfortable and sleeping peacefully.

I must've stood there for such a long time, taking in the fact that he was our son and I was now a father.

It felt amazing.

I reluctantly passed him back to the nurse as she placed him back in his nursery.

I caught one last look at him before walking back to Ivy's room.

We were now parents to that amazing little boy and I couldn't have felt any happier.

"Did you see him?" Ivy asked.

"I did...he's everything." I smiled.

"I know, I love him so much already."

"Me too. I'm so happy you're both safe." I said, holding onto her hand.

"I love you Blade."

"I love you too...so much."

Hi everyone! I know this is a very very short chapter but I'm posting the last two chapters of the story together to make up for it.

I'm sorry that the last few chapters have taken so long to publish but I've been super busy with revision as well as moving house and I hope you all understand.
