Julia's POV

"Okay Ivy I'm ready!" I shouted down the stairs.

Last night, Ivy had called me to tell me that we were going to a club with Kayla tonight.

I was reluctant at first but they said it was to celebrate my first mission, not that they knew how badly it really went.

I'd explain what happened later.

I rushed down the stairs with my clutch bag in hand. I was wearing a long sleeved black dress which reached just above the knee. It was a lot less revealing than yesterday's outfit choice and I was thankful for that.

"Finally!" Ivy said. "It's taken you even longer than me to get ready."

"I'm sorry, let's just go. I need a good night out." I sighed.

"And that's exactly why we're going."

"Are we meeting Kayla there?"

"Yeah, she said that she was going straight from work."

"Oh okay."

We then walked out to the drive and got into the car. It was already considerably dark outside and I was ready for a good girls' night.

~

When Ivy pulled up outside the club, there were colourful flashing lights and loud music flooding out of the doors.

There were multiple security guards stood outside, crowded by a large group of people and Ivy and I swiftly made our way through the crowds.

Once we'd shown the bouncer our ID, we were free to go into the club.

We spotted Kayla immediately from across the room and made our way over to her. Pushing through the crowds of sweaty people.

"Hey Kayla!"

"Oh hey girls! You're finally here, let's get you some drinks."

She leaned over the bar and grabbed the bartenders attention, quickly getting us our drinks.

"To Julia's first...mission." Kayla slurred, turning her voice to a whisper at the word 'mission'.

"Wooo!" Ivy yelled, holding her cup in the air as I laughed with my two best friends.

We began dancing for hours on end and we were having such a good time. Kayla was already tipsy when we arrived and it didn't take long for Ivy to join her.

Seeing as I don't usually drink, I was the designated driver for the night...as usual.

"I need another drink." I shouted over the music towards my hyper friends.

"Okay! Then come back to dance with us." Ivy giggled, sipping her drink.

I walked back over to the bar and shuffled my way through the group of people, trying to get the bartenders attention.

All of a sudden, I was greeted by a man. He was tall with dark hair and deep, brown eyes, which reminded me of Reed.

"Hi there." he said, greeting me with a smile. "Can I buy you a drink?"

He was quite attractive and seeing as I was trying to get over whatever I had with Reed, I thought, why not?

"Sure. I'll just take a lemonade." I smiled.

"Lemonade? No alcohol?" he asked.

"I don't drink."

"Oh, that makes sense."

I quickly looked back over to my friends on the dance floor to see them sending me thumbs up. Obviously they approved of the man in front of me which made me laugh.

I turned back to face the man, who handed me my drink politely.

"Thanks. I'm Julia." I said, taking a big sip of my drink.

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." he said.

(A/N - trigger warning)

"What's your name?" I asked.

"You'll find out soon enough." he laughed, confusing me a little. "Let's go outside, it's too loud in here."

I brushed off his comment and took his hand, as he lead me out into the cool, refreshing air. I had to admit that it was getting far too hot in that nightclub.

As I walked, my sight began to feel a little blurred and my legs started feeling weak.

I leaned into the guy's hand as my eyelids began feeling heavy.

I could feel my body getting heavier and heavier as I began feeling extremely woozy.

"W-what's happening? D-did you p-put something in my drink?" I slurred quietly.

"Shh, don't worry. I'm just taking you on a little trip." he said as I collapsed into his arms.

Reed's POV

I was sat in the kitchen eating pasta with Jocelyn, the evening after our failed mission.

I was still feeling extremely guilty and I was starting to worry. It's coming to a point where I can barely control my emotions anymore.

I can't contain myself around Julia and I need to fix it.

"It's a shame that Julia had to leave us." Jocelyn said, placing a piece of ravioli into her mouth.

"Yeah...it is."

"Have you made anymore plans for the wedding yet darling?" she asked sweetly.

"I'm leaving all of that up to Evelyn." I sighed.

"Reed, why are you doing this to yourself? I think we both know who you really want to marry...and it's certainly not Evelyn."

"It doesn't matter what I want. This is what my parents wanted and it's the safer option."

"Excuse my language but that is utter bull crap!" she said in innocent old lady fashion, making me smile as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "Sometimes Ree, you need to take risks to be happy. As sad as it is, your parents aren't around anymore and they never got the chance to meet Julia. They'd want you to be happy son and so do I. You need to call off the wedding and go and follow your heart."

As she spoke these words to me, I finally saw what everyone was talking about. Maybe I did deserve happiness after all.

Besides, Julia wants to be in the gang so she'll already be at risk and what better way to protect her than be with her? It was a win-win.

"You're right Jocie! I need to-"

Just as I was about to tell her my plan, my phone began to ring. I looked down with the intention of ignoring it, until I saw that it was Ivy calling me.

It was almost midnight and Ivy never usually called. What could she need at this time?

"Ivy? What's wrong?" I questioned, answering the phone.

I suddenly noticed that she was crying and sniffling down the phone, automatically setting alarm bells off in my head.

"I'm so sorry Reed. I'm so sorry." she cried.

"Ivy, what is going on?" I asked in a more demanding tone.

"J-julia...she's missing."

"What do you mean she's missing?" I screamed.

"W-we were in the club and Kayla and I saw her talking to some random guy and then suddenly she was just gone. We've looked everywhere and we can't find her."

At that moment, I felt my whole world crashing down. This had happened before...but something about this time felt a lot more serious. A lot more sinister.

When Marcus and Jason hurt Julia, I was furious and I barely even knew her at that point.

Now...I was in love with her.

And she'd been taken away from me again. I was wracking my brain trying to think of every enemy I had, anyone who'd want to take her from me.

"Ivy, you and Kayla head over to my place right now. I'll call the guys and we will find her...we have to."

I then ended the call and phoned every person I could think of to help.

My house quickly filled with my friends, my fighters, my family and anyone else who would help me.

I sent a lot of the guys to search the area while others went to check CCTV footage and research anyone who would want to take her.

Dawn also came and she and Jocelyn spent their time trying to comfort me...but nothing would help until I found her.

I sat on the couch with my head in my hands as my sister sat beside me. I felt so helpless. I was the king of the mafia yet someone managed to take my girl away from me.

After an hour or so, Blade stormed through the doors. He'd found something?

I jolted to my feet as I saw him run through the doors.

"Reed, Ethan found something."

"Well, what is it? Do we know where she is?" I yelled.

"Not exactly, but we think we know who has her." he muttered.

"Well who is it? I'm going to kill them." I said, grabbing my keys to get ready to leave.

"Reed you need to sit down." Blade commanded.

"No I won't sit down, I need to find her. Tell me who it is Blade!"

"Reed. Sit down!" he screamed.

I'd never heard Blade shout like that before. He was deadly serious and turned the whole room silent, shocking me.

I took a step back and collapsed onto the sofa beside Dawn.

"Look, I know you want to find her and so do I, but you need to be fully focused so that you don't get yourself...or her, killed." he ordered.

"You're right." I mumbled.

"Now, when Ethan showed me this...I didn't really believe it. Just both of you...try not to freak out okay?" he said, confusing both Dawn and I.

He set the laptop down on the table in front of us, showing the CCTV footage.

I watched as we saw Julia, Kayla and Ivy dancing. Just as Ivy had said, she went to the bar to get a drink and met a guy.

I couldn't see their faces clearly due to the video quality but as we watched, we saw Julia turn to her friends while the man put something in her drink.

He'd drugged her.

I was furious and I was ready to kill whoever this guy was instantaneously.

My fists clenched as Dawn attempted to take my hand in comfort.

We continued to watch and saw as they headed towards the outside exit.

Blade switched to a second outdoor camera and we watched as Julia collapsed into the guys arms and he carried her away out of sight of the camera.

My heart was thudding and I felt as though I could barely breath.

Seeing her like that killed me, I needed to find her as soon as possible and bring her home.

"I can see that she was drugged." Dawn began. "but why were you so adamant that we'd freak out?" she asked Blade.

"You don't recognise him, do you?"

Dawn and I exchanged confused glances as we both shook our heads.

Blade held a worried, solemn look on his face as he grabbed the laptop and pressed a few buttons.

He placed it back on the table as we watched a picture begin to load more clearly.

The second it'd loaded, Dawn let out a horrified gasp. She cupped her mouth with her hands as my mouth dropped open.

I could see tears begin to well up in my sister's eyes at what we saw.

"No." Dawn screamed.

"T-that's not possible." I directed at Blade.

"I didn't believe it at first either...but he did this."
