Minutes passed, muffled explosions were occasionally heard and I could only guess that Bakugo had found his opponent, and I waited for mine. I gazed around the room in boredom, only to spot a small pink blob behind one of the pillars. I immediately went on guard and reached for my gun.

"Aha- oh... You already saw me?" Uraraka chuckled sheepishly.

"Try hiding every part of your self, including your feet..." I advised, cracking a smile.

Then, she spoke a few words to Deku through her earpiece while I stood in a better position, waiting for her to strike. The building rumbled and shook for a few seconds, and I right away knew that it was Bakugo. I inwardly sighed.

Uraraka glanced at me, then ran for the weapon. I sped towards her too, ready to keep her away. During the Quirk Assesment Tests, I paid attention to her Quirk, knowing that if she can make anything float, then she can make herself float too. When we were 5 feet away, she put her hands together- there!

I jumped high and tackled her back down to the ground, then quickly stood by the weapon again. We waited it out for a few minutes before she confirmed something with Deku and held onto a pillar. A sudden blast destroyed and cracked the whole level, and I immediately noticed that gave Uraraka an advantage. She held the pillar and swung pieces of debris at me, which I momentarily blocked before I kicked the weapon away before she could touch it. There were five seconds on the clock, and Uraraka was close to the weapon. I jumped after her, trying to grasp her belt in a desperate attempt to get her away from it. 1 second left... And Uraraka landed on the weapon, rolling sideways.

Time was up.

"Hero's win!" I clenched my fists in frustration as All Might's voice rang out, but that soon evaporated when I saw the state that Uraraka was in.

"Uraraka! You alright?!" I said, worry framing my voice. I knew the after-effects she had to suffer when she uses her Quirk too much. I couldn't do anything but comfort her, and she seemed thankful.

"You good? Alright, let's go back for our results" I said, helping Uraraka up.

As we entered the monitor room, I noticed Bakugo was quieter than usual, and Midoriya wasn't there.

I stood there, not paying attention to anything All Might nor Momo was saying, and soon, it was the others turn to battle.

I focused all my attention on the screen, noting everyone's Quirks and tactics, but when it came to Todoroki's, I was utterly frozen with shock, literally.

"What the..." I glanced at Bakugo, who seemed to be just as shocked as I was.

"That's crazy power!" I looked at the spikey redhead beside me.

"Yeah, you said it..."

And from there, the whole of class 1-A finished with the battle training and we changed out of our clothes and headed back to class.

Before I sat down, I noticed Bakugo leaving class, and the others trying to stop him. Reassuring my classmates, I chased after the blonde, who was now walking down the stairs.

"Bakugo! Hey!" He stopped and turned around.

"What do you want?"

"Well... It looks like your bothered by something-"

"Hell yeah, I am-!"

"-and because you are, I wanna tag along!"

"Why?"

"Because that's what friends do!" I said, throwing my hands in the air.

"Fine." He said, continuing.

"So... What's gotten you so mad?"

"That bastard... Deku." I asked him what this had to do with Deku before a voice called out him.

"Kacchan!"

'Deku?' I turned around and spotted him.

"What...?" He said in a deadly tone.

Deku touched his casted arm before speaking, "My Quirk is something I received from someone else... I-I can't say who though!" He said quickly like he was afraid. My head started buzzing.

'Received from someone else? What? I looked over Deku's form. He doesn't know that I don't have a Quirk and I plan to keep it that way but... 'If Deku received it from someone else, then... Could I get a Quirk too? And  does that mean Deku was Quirkless, like me?'

The more Deku spoke, the more it got Bakugo mad, and it wasn't pretty. Then, he broke.

"...Damn it, damn it, damn it!" I stood there, shocked that the angry explosive boy was... crying? Tears streamed down and his voice cracked. I felt... kind of bad for him, so I put a hand on his shoulder, and he looked at me like he forgot I was there. Quickly wiping his tears, he turned and started walking again, dragging me by the hand. I flashed Deku a reassuring smile and wave.

"So... What-"

"I don't wanna talk about it." He said bluntly.

"O-ok..."

We walked in silence the way to his house.

"Well, looks like this is your stop. I'll... see you tomorrow, Bakugo." I looked at him, but he didn't look at me. I turned the other way but stopped when something held me back, and I looked down to see he was still holding my hand.

"B-Bakugo... You can let go now" I said, a hue of pink settling on my cheeks. He looked down, and the same pink tint coated his cheeks. He let go and I began walking to my house.

"Thanks." I stopped. That sentence was quiet, yet genuine. Smiling, I headed home.
