Another day, another round in training.

It was just Deku and I sparring in the gym, I was equipped with a wooden stick that was almost my height which was supposed to help me with reflexes and dodging skills, and it did. I had to convince Deku to go all out on me because I tried to challenge myself but he continued to worry about me saying that he'd injure me somehow. After insisting firmly he sighed and agreed- on the condition that we stop right away when I get the tiniest bruise or scratch.

For some odd reason, my mind drifted to the other night where I found the teachers and staff having a meeting in the middle of the night, but I quickly wafted the thought away and focused on my training.

Then when I thought about it, Todoroki wasn't around much. I'd see him once or twice in the hallway every day, but even then he seemed like he was in a hurry. I figured the next time I see him I'd ask him what he is doing.

"Ah- Deku stop!" He deactivated his Quirk and began to inspect my body for wounds as I dropped my weapon.

"Are-are you okay (Y/N)? Here- let's go to the infirmary and-" I cut him off with a wave.

"No it's not that, I'm fine... I suddenly have a bad feeling about something. Hey, can you take me to Bakugo's grave? I haven't gone yet today." He nodded and followed me out of the gym. Each time I was concerned about something or wanted to talk to someone, I'd always speak to Bakugo.  Even if he can't respond it was sort of comforting knowing that he was listening to me.

"Deku... you're oddly quiet," I said as we walked. Usually, he'd be discussing what I should improve on after training, giving me tips and tricks, but right now he was deathly silent with his hands in his pockets.

As he replied back he didn't meet my eyes. "I-I'm fine, (Y/N). You don't have to worry about me." I raised an eyebrow but brushed it off as I stepped outside, gasping lightly when the sharp and cold rain splattered on my skin.

"We should get an umbrella..." he said, about to turn around before I tugged on his shirt and shook my head.

"There's no time for that. It's almost curfew and we have to hurry." Without arguing he complied and I led him by the hand to the graveyard aware of our surroundings. I swung open the creaking gate and jogged along the muddy path, finding the tombstone that held Katsuki Bakugo.

The flower that I placed on there the other day was blown away, and I kneeled down to pick another from the earth and place it on top. "Bakugo, I came to say hi today. Actually, I came to talk to you- again, heh..." The uneasy feeling spread further across my chest and I stared at the concrete, waiting for an answer to my feeling.

"Bakugo, I feel like something bad is going to happen today. What should I do? Honestly, ever since you've been gone I've always been on edge, waiting for something big to happen." Deku bent down and spread his coat over the both of us to shield us from the rain even though we were already drenched.

"Don't worry, no matter what happens I'll watch over you and take care of you. That's a promise. Kacchan, I know how precious (Y/N) was to you, so I'll do my very best to make sure she stays happy and safe." I eased up a little and smiled.

"Thanks, Deku." I plucked another flower from the ground and twirled it between my fingers to rid it from the water, then tucked it in his green hair and giggled when his cheeks went pink. "Come on Deku, let's go. I'll see you tomorrow, Katsuki."

He nodded while saying his goodbyes and stood up, walking with the coat still overhead. We took a few steps forward before I quickly turned around and went back to the grave where I pressed my head against the cool tombstone and whispered, "I love you."

I ran back under the coat and continued our little journey back to the school. Once we stepped inside the building, the bell rang and signified the curfew. Deku squeezed the rain out of his coat and shook his head vigorously like a puppy.

"I'm going to rest in the lounge, you coming?" He nodded and glanced at a clock on the wall, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Are you feeling uneasy too?" Lost in thought, he gave no response. "Deku." My voice went firm and I paused at the top of the stairs, looking down on him."

"Y-yes?" His grip on the handrail tightened.

"What are you hiding? I know something's up, what's bothering you? Look at me." He squeaked and tried his best to not avert his eyes.

"Tell me!" I snapped, glad that I trusted my gut. Something was going on behind my back and I was going to find out.

"... I wasn't supposed to-to tell you because Aizawa told me not to- but they launched another attack on Ke-Keres today."

I jumped off the last few steps and cornered Deku against the wall. "When did they go? Where did they go? And who went?"

"(Y/N) I said I can't tell you. I've already told you more than I should." He was going to stand his ground and not tell me anything, so I had to think of a way to get him to spill the beans.

"Deku answer me goddammit!" I raised my leg and kicked the wall beside his waist. He didn't flinch, just burned his eyes into mine.

Something clicked inside my mind and the shadows across my face grew as I tilted my head. "Did Todoroki go? Is that why he is never around?" That threw him off as he averted his eyes, talking non stop as he tried to convince me that Todoroki was still in the dorm.

"He left, hasn't he..." I didn't let him answer as I already knew it and bolted away from Deku, ignoring his voice.

My vision tunnelled as I focused on two things only; get out of here and find Todoroki. Booming sounds came from behind, and I flashed a glance over my shoulder to see Deku with a green aura, hurriedly catching up to me at an alarming rate.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N), stop! I said stop!" I blocked out his voice, trying to determine what to do to shake Deku off of my trail.

Rounding a sharp corner, I launched myself out of the nearest window.
