I thought the whole stadium went silent, but I guess it's what they call, 'being in the moment', and at that moment, my whole focus was on Bakugo, who's gaze seemed to burn right in my core.

Midnight rose her arm, then brought it down.

"Start!"

Fear and adrenaline flashed through me as Bakugo charged, his palms outstretched and red eyes narrowed. I barely managed to dodge his fist, which ended up punching the concrete, and backed away. I racked my brain for plans and tactics, though when fear and pressure take control of your mind, it's hard to do any thinking.

I gritted my teeth and hovered my hands over my waist, wondering when I should use my weapons. Another attack I dodged, though my ears were beginning to ring from the explosions. Maybe that's why he's yelling half of the time.

An idea formed in my head. Thanks to Urarakas battle with Bakugo, I worked up an idea for a smokescreen.

'This is gonna hurt...'

This time I charged at Bakugo, not keeping low like Uraraka but racing head-on. He took a step back before striking a blow like an uppercut, sending me several meters away. My clothes were streaked with soot, and I felt hot, though it was easy getting back up and charging at him again. Strike by strike, explosion by explosion, I completed step one of my plan. Create a smokescreen.

I was a bit worn out, though still had lots of energy to use. The smoke was thick enough to be non-transparent, and fortunately, it covered at least half of the stage. This was the opportunity to use my weapons. I narrowed my eyes and tiptoed through the smokescreen, keeping my senses peeled for any sounds that might be from Bakugo. I lifted the hem of my shirt just enough to expose my belt of weapons. I stopped when I didn't recognize some of the guns. A few were different shapes and colours, one specifically which I pulled out.

'Grappling gun?'

I turned the gun over so that I can see the nozzle, and sure enough, there was a hook that was foldable. I didn't have time to test it. I glanced around when I realized footsteps were cautiously nearing me. I pulled out my pistol- full with BB bullets- and crouched down, keeping my eyes in the direction of the footsteps.

"(Y/N), I know where you are. Stop hiding and fight already, goddammit!"

I neared Bakugo, still crouching down. I was able to make out a figure through the smokescreen. I fired a bullet and ran on the opposite side, making sure I had a clear view of his silhouette before firing another one and running on the opposite side, trying to make the least noise and to throw off my position for a sneak attack.

"(Y/N), I can see the smoke whirling around whenever you move. You didn't really think this through." I didn't have time to do anything, because a shot of his Quirk blasted myself and the smokescreen away. I wafted and coughed away the remaining smoke.

'He really isn't going to go easy on me.'

Before I could get back up, he shot another explosion which sent me rolling on my side, getting pieces and chunks of concrete to dig into my skin. I was a few meters away from the border, though managed to get back up before another attack came my way. This time, I dodged. Plan B came to mind, one that involved hand-to-hand combat only, and of course, getting hurt.

I continued charging and endured with the pain over, and over again. I figured mine and his constant movements waved the smoke away because it was cleared the moment it came. My goal wasn't to create a smokescreen but to do the same thing with my other opponent. Get them to their limits. I know Bakugo's hands start to cramp up when he uses his Quirk too much, which will create an opening for me to attack.

I got to my feet on trembling legs. I took a step forward.

"Goddammit, (Y/N)!" I stopped at looked up. My opponent looked as though every attack he unleashed took zero effort.

"Show me your Quirk! Come at me with all your might, I'm tired of putting up with your bullshit!" I remained quiet and charged again. This time, he grabbed my arm when I was in reach and twisted it, then kicked the back of my leg so that I fell flat on my stomach with my arm in his grasp and one knee on my lower back. His reflexes were surprisingly fast. I used my free arm to get out of his grip, though he didn't give me the chance to fight back because he unleashed another explosion.

"Use your Quirk for crying out loud!" I stood on my feet and gripped my arm, a shard of concrete made a deep cut below my shoulder. "We're supposed to be friends, (Y/N). Friends are supposed to tell each other everything..." He spoke in a softer tone, his eyes no longer narrowed but almost looked like they were pleading.

I still kept my mouth shut and sprinted. This time he didn't blast me away. He crossed his arms and put them over his face. I landed several punches and kicks. He took each one like it was nothing.

I swept a leg underneath him and pinned him down. Bakugo looked at me and pushed himself upwards, forcing me to fly off of him. He pinned me down.

A furious look gleamed in his eyes. "You're gonna have to use your damn Quirk (Y/N),  or else this is gonna hurt like hell." Pressing my lips together, I pounded a knee in his stomach, then managed to hold him down.

"Shut up."

"LIKE HELL I WILL!" Bakugo turned his palms towards me and let off a big explosion. I felt the ground hit me. Groaning, I tried to ignore the fading ringing in my ears. I raised my fists.

"If you're not gonna use it, I guess I'll force it out of you!" He ran at me, though I was still too dazed to fight back because he landed a perfect blow. Hit by hit, Bakugo now had the upper hand.

"Get up (Y/N)! Show me what you can do, show me!" He yelled, releasing another explosion.

I felt dizzy and hot, though I wasn't going to go down that easily. I got on my hands and knees, but Bakugo slammed a foot on my back, bringing me back down. My senses slowly eased back, and I could hear the crowd shouting insults and mean phrases directed at Bakugo.

I suppressed a groan when he pushed his foot deeper.  "(Y/N), enough of this 'I can do it without my Quirk' shit. I haven't seen you use it ever since I first laid my eyes on you. There's only so much someone can do without their Quirk. It's time yo-" I cut him off when I rolled onto my stomach, sliding his foot off my back in the process. I kicked behind his knees so that he stumbled to the ground.

"You're not getting away!" His hand was wrapped around my ankle. "USE YOUR QUIRK! COME ON!" My blood was boiling at this point, and it took a lot of effort to keep my mouth shut. Hand still wrapped around my ankle, he pulled my body closer to him, and quickly got on top of me, legs pinning my legs, and his hands holding my wrists down.

"You're not saying anything... why? Talk to me, (Y/N). Why aren't you using your Quirk? Do you think I'm not strong enough? Not worthy? Well, I clearly am, so you better use it!"

"I said... shut up" I muttered, my emotions causing a sea of rage in my chest.

He looked at me before gritting his teeth and raised a fist. "I'm not going to shut up. I just want you to use your Quirk, is that too much to ask for?!"

"I said, shut up!" My bottled up feelings and secret were starting to overfill.

A sharp pain hit me on the cheek. I could hear a collective gasp from the crowd, and I tilted my head forward to realize Bakugo punched me. "TELL ME! TELL ME WHY YOU WON'T USE IT!"

"BECAUSE I CAN'T! OKAY, I CAN'T!" I felt tears forming in my eyes. I wouldn't let them fall.

"THAT'S NOT A FUCKING ANSWER!" He punched me again. I winced. Blood trailed down the side of my face, hot and sticky.

"You wanna know... DO YOU REALLY WANNA KNOW?!" That caught him off guard. I head butted him, then pinned him down, grabbing him by the collar.

"I'M QUIRKLESS, OKAY!? QUIRKLESS! I CAN'T USE MY QUIRK BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ONE! I'M NOTHING COMPARED TO YOU!" My head hurt like hell, and my vision was fading in and out. I felt like passing out.

His expression jumped from shock to unease. "(Y/N), don't make me laugh. Someone as strong as you obviously has a Quirk... (Y/N) you're kidding, right?"

"Do I look like I'm kidding? Sorry to disappoint. I'm not as strong as you think..." I hadn't realized that the stadium was no longer yelling, but muttering among each other instead. My secret was out. Everyone knows I'm Quirkless.

In a single power move, Bakugo had me over his shoulder like a sac of potatoes. His feet pounded into the ground, nearing the border with each step. I was weak and fell limp. All that yelling and getting hit by explosions pushed my body to its limit, all before my body hit the ground over the white line.

The battle was over. I lost.
