Jungkook took a seat opposite to Ena. That was when he noticed you, seated beside him.

He turned to Ena and asked, "You both know each other?"

Ena scoffed, "Dude, she's my childhood friend. One of the most important person in my life."

Jungkook blinked wolfishly, trying to grab the new piece of information. Ena and him were co workers, where they part timed. Eventually, working together at same shifts for long time, they became good friends. So when Ena forced you to tell the name of your soulmate, rather the boy who rejected you, she couldn't believe that Jungkook could do that. Since then, you knew that they were not just mere acquaintances. 

You stood up and grabbed your phone, "I'll go and wait for Jim at the gate."

As you walked away, Yoongi passed a tight lipped smile at Jungkook, "What are you doing here?"

Jungkook, who was watching you, shifted when he realized the question was directed to him, "Oh me? I work here on Tuesdays. My shift just ended and I was about to leave when I noticed her.", he pointed towards Ena.

Yoongi gritted teeth, "Let me rephrase that. What are you still doing here?"

"Huh?", Jungkook looked at him, blank, "Uh, I'm sorry. I will leave now."

Ena kicked Yoongi on his shin and the later groaned.

"Jungkook.", she emphasized, "Rather than spending the rest of hours on your computer, come join us, we can provide you good company.", she chuckled.

He nodded, "B-But I remembered, I've some errands to run---"

"Stay.", you appeared from behind along with Jimin, "if you want to. We don't mind.", you said dragging a chair as Jimin sat where you were seated previously.

Jungkook didn't retaliate.

"See", Ena smiled, "Come on, loosen up."

Yoongi was clearly unimpressed and Jimin was busy sensing things around him at the moment.

Some time passed and the tension started to dissipate. You didn't participate much in the conversation, just kept listening while the others spoke, specially Jungkook. You noticed his cute little nose scrunches when he gave that all teeth smiles. The sound of his giggles rang in your ear endearingly. You even noticed how his big doe eyes widened, when something perked up this interest.

"Stop staring.", Jimin whispered in your ear, startling you.

He laughed, "How cute, you were literally giving him heart eyes.--"

"Shut up.", you hit on his arm, "What else could I do, other than looking at him from far?"

Jimin pouted, "Hey, don't sulk. I look better than him. I'll bless your eyes with my good looks."

You rolled eyes and latched on his arm.

"Guys, you didn't let me pay for the snacks", Jungkook huffed, "So, the desserts on me."

"But we--", you cut off Yoongi.

"I'll skip, you guys order. I need to go to washroom.", you got up and hurriedly went in the direction of the washroom.

Jungkook didn't seem to mind as he passed the menu card to Jimin.

"Uh, I'll skip too. My stomach's full.", he said, passing the menu card to Ena.

Ena mimicked Jimin and passed the card further to Yoongi.

"Is it because of me?", Jungkook asked, visibly sullen.

"Do you think, you're that important to us?, Yoongi scoffed and got a hit on his shin again.

Jimin sighed, "It's not about you. It's about Y/N."

"What about her?", Jungkook squinted eyes, "She said something, didn't she? I was leaving but she told me to stay. Now what's the point of all the acting? She is pathetic."

Yoongi slammed his hands on the table, "Shut the fuck--"

"Yoongi don't", you walked to your seat and started collecting your things, "Uh guys, I got an emergency, so I'll take a leave. Goodnight."

"Y/N--"

And you ran out of the café before anyone could see the tears pooling your eyes.

"Jimin go after her!", Ena prompted and soon Jimin followed by.

"Look what kind of person he is", Yoongi looked at Ena and hissed in a low tone, "Keep on defending him and I promise we'll be done.", with that he walked out too.

Ena immediately grabbed her things and shoved them into her bag. 

"Ena--"

"Fuck off Jungkook.", Ena held up her hand, "Just fuck off. Don't ever try to talk to me again."

Shocked, he tried to block her way, "What I said was wrong--"

"Wrong?", she glared at him, "What do you know about Y/N? How dare you talk ill about her?"

Jungkook listened.

"You know why she made an excuse and left?", she chuckled bitterly, "For you."

"For me?"

She walked out of the café and Jungkook followed her.

"Stop following me."

"I will but before that, you need to tell me what did you mean by that."

She halted and turned, "Y/N can't taste anything sweet. That's her lack of ability."

 Jungkook stood dumbfounded.

"She didn't want you to get uncomfortable because of this. And the fact that you rejected her, she may not be able to know the taste for the rest of her life."

"I--"

"Don't interrupt. Let me finish and get done with you.", Ena took a deep breathe, "She came to knew that I work with you after she told me about that night's incident. I was ready ignore you for the rest of my life but she made me promise not to do so. Y/N is too angelic for an asshole like you. If it would have been me, I'd have berated you for your whole life. You speak so recklessly. I wish that these words come back and bite you in the ass. I'll change my shifts at the Kreme. Never see you again, goodbye."

As the words soaked in, Jungkook wordlessly looked at the busy city life ahead of him.

"Where's Ena?", You glared at Yoongi.

"I don't know.", he rolled eyes, "She's not kid Y/N. Her legs work perfectly fine and she knows the roads better than we do."

You pinched the bridge of your nose, "I might kill someone today."

"Calm down. I had sent her the location. She'll be arriving  anytime, now.", Jimin informed.

"Y/N!", you heard Ena call out your name.

Sighing in relief, you ran to her and pulled her in your embrace.

"I unfriended Jeon Jerk-Kook!", she exclaimed and you eyed her in horror.

"What? I would never tolerate any mistreatment towards you. No one comes before you", she pinched your cheeks, "Not even my soulmate.", she yelled the later part for a certain someone to hear.

As you both walked towards the two men, you heard Ena speaking hesitatingly, "On my way here, I saw Namjoon."

You froze.

"Who's Namjoon?", Jimin asked as he hoped on his feet.

"He's just somebody that I used to know."

And You lips curved up in a sad smile.
