Well I just did! 6 days earlier.

Leah :

We went straight away to the beach after that unfortunate incident, that is definitely after reporting to my anxious boyfriend. His voice sounds agitated, when I asked him he only answered that he’s worried because he can’t fully trust Phil and the other bodyguards. He really objects the idea of me and Phil going to the beach but like always, I never listens. I feel the need to cheer up the boy even though he hides his sadness very well behind that blank look. “Come on! Let’s go!” I called him because he looks reluctant to step out from the car. I could feel the wind blows right through my body, the sounds of the waves were calming and that reminds me of my far away boyfriend. What is he doing right now? Did he miss me? I wish I could be with him here.

“Are you okay mam?” I looked at curious Phil who must be wondering why I was suddenly silent, I just shake my head in response.

“Calling me mam makes me looks old, let’s go grab some ice cream.”

“Do you have a family Phil?” He looked at me with uncertainty, we are sitting at the seashore while enjoying our ice cream and the sea view. I love how the warm weather and the chilly breezes combined, but due to my insensitive mind, I just made him seems uncomfortable about this topic because I noticed how he just stared his vanilla ice cream. “I mean, you are so young yet you’re here, working instead of studying. I’m sorry if this is too personal for you, I just can’t stop my curiosity.” He looks like he’s in a deep thought about something then he took a deep breath.

“Why don’t you ask the boss mam?” He answered it by asking question back, what a sly kid and I totally hate it when he called me ‘mam’.

“I told you don’t call me that, just call me Leah and Ian is too good as a boss to tell me your background, he respect his workers privacy so I figured that I should ask you myself.” He slowly nodded.

“I’m adopted.” He said it without hesitation. My mouth just formed into an ‘o’ in understanding. “One day, I fought with my foster parents and I left home in anger. They involved in an accident when they was searching for me.” His eyes held unbearable pain as its glistens under the sunlight. He took a few deep breaths again to calm down so I gently pat his shoulder in sympathy.

“I’m sorry for your loss.” He just smiled weakly at me, I really don’t know what to say, that was the only thing I could say to him right now.

“That’s okay Leah,” he paused for a moment before continued, “after they gone, things got ugly so I left home and became a homeless person wandering around the streets. I did anything in order to keep survive like stealing and snatching till I met a friend who told me about this job.”

“That was hard.” I can’t do anything let alone say something thoughtful for him.

“That woman earlier was my teacher, she hates me a lot when I accidentally caused her son went blind on his left eye, she’s right, I am a scum. I shouldn’t deserve a good life, not after what I’ve done to the people around me, to my parents that love me like their own.” I was upset by his thoughts so I slapped his arm.

“Don’t say that! No one is a scum. Every person deserves a second chance. Yes, you are an awful person but that was before. Now you have a decent job, I bet your parents would be proud of who you are, like me.” He looks surprised and I smiled cheerfully at him. Listening to his story made me feel grateful for what I have which is a house to live, a family that loves me and food to eat. Even though I lost my mom, still I have my dad and my three ever loving brothers, now I have Ian and grandpa, considered to others, I was truly blessed. “From now on, consider me as your family.” Phil was dumbfounded by my sudden declaration. “So, any future plan? Or dreams perhaps?” I continued.

He was still in his moment of shock, I have to pinch his arms to wake him up from his day dreaming. “Urmm… I always want to sail around the world, so I planned to earn money as much as I can then buy a big yacht and sail away,” I noticed how his eyes were twinkling in excitement when he’s telling me about his plan.

“That was super awesome, can I join? I wanted to sail too,” I became eager about the idea of sailing, that must be fun. I should write it down in my bucket list. He nodded in excitement. The rest of the evening, we continued to talk about our own dreams. He was even surprised when he heard that I am a vet before, sadly my face don’t scream veterinarian.

During the night, I don’t do much besides calling my dad, grandpa, also my brothers. Dad like always, dramatic as ever, he’s in a good condition and he said he’s watching the TV. He also asked when will we visit him again, he must be missing us so much, about grandpa, he’s doing his business in Europe and like my dad he always told me to stay safe. We even promised each other to go to the soup kitchen after he came back from there. After that, I called Liam, he answered my call after a few times and it seems that he’s busy. He said that he’s okay, he told me to stay close to Josh and he loves me, then he cut off the call. I waited for another 30 minutes to call David because if Liam was busy, he must be too. When I called him, he answered it on the first ring, and he’s even worse, he thought something bad happened to me, what’s with everyone tonight? He worried too much, I told him that I called only to ask how he’s doing and I love him. I could heard him chuckling on the line, then he said he’s okay and he love me too also the famous line, stay close with Josh. After David, Josh’s turn, luckily my phone battery still enough for the entire night. I called Josh who I didn’t see that much for today. I hope he’s not busy. He answered it after a moment and immediately asked me many questions including how my day was, my safety, how’s Phil behave, what am I doing right now and oh, about his extended card. I even laughed when he’s bantering about it so much. We talked for about 10 minutes more then we stopped. He said he’s going to bed early tonight because he’s exhausted and also he doesn’t have any money to go for a drink. My poor Josh.

I went to our room later because I don’t know what else to do. I just lied down on the bed while waiting for something. Just in time, my phone rings. It’s the one whom I’ve been waiting since the last we talked which was before I went to the beach.

“Teddy?” I quickly answered the call. There’s a brief silence on the line before he answered.

“I miss you Jellyface.” Those simple words from him sent me straight to the moon, my heart fluttering with millions of flowers. Unknowingly, a wide smile slowly crept onto my face, instantly I felt giddy and excited.

“I miss you too Ian,” I heard a heavy sigh coming from him, today must be an exhausting day for him. I noticed how all day he sounds so agitated, anxious and tired.

“Was it too hard?” I wonder what he’s been doing all the day that cause him to be like that.

“Not when I could hear your voice every second,” his raspy voice and sweet words again did the magic in my heart. Why am I so lucky? I was utterly speechless right now because of my fast beating heart, so I could only respond with giggles. “When everything seems too hard to handle, hearing your voice makes it endurable,” I didn’t say anything because I still in my magical land. “I couldn’t bear to lose you, please don’t leave me Leah.” I was so sad when he said things like this because I remembered how my dad was when he lost my mom.

“You’re not going to lose me because I will stick to you so hard like a super glue, I was destined to live longer you know.  I have so many people to love and to take care of, including my Teddy,” I added a bit of laugh at the end of my words to cheer him up. I can’t stand it when he’s being all worn out like this.

“I will hold to your words my love.”

“Cheesy,” that night was a lonely night for me when I already used to sleep with him beside me.

The very next day, I didn’t go out to anywhere even to the company, I stayed inside baking a cake for Ian. He loves chocolate cake so much, same with my taste, we both like the chocolate cake not too sweet. If he has time, he will bring me to my usual bakery so I can eat my favourite chocolate cake. I need all the necessary ingredients, that is why Phil will be my assistant for today. He help me bought all of the ingredients that is not in the fridge, I also want to bake a cheese cake for him because he said he loves cheese so much. Phil was really excellent, he did the entire job so good and neatly like whisking the eggs and butter, he also was so good in prepping the pan. If it is for Liam and Josh, hell breaks loose when they enter the kitchen but for David, he’s okay, even though he’s a bit stiff and awkward. Phil even help me to melt the chocolate, he said he learnt it from his mother when he used to help her in the kitchen, I know that he misses his parents so much. When only the decoration part left, I told him to watch TV while waiting for me to finish the cakes. After a while, I took his cheese cake to him, when he saw it, he burst in tears because I decorated the cake with a mini yacht sailing through the ocean just like his dreams. I did a good job considering I only learned it from the tutorial video in Youtube, at least it still look like what I wanted even if it doesn’t look the same as in the video. I told him that I fully support his dreams and also I will help him to further his studies. At last, he could warm up to me, not as a stranger or an employer, but as a friend, perhaps a family. I honestly wouldn’t mind adding another handsome brother in the family. The rest of the day I finished it by cleaning the entire house, and in the evening, I went to visit my clinic along with Phil. Thank goodness everything was fine including the vets that replaced me, they both were reliable. The next hours, I spent it with reading a new story in Wattpad and scrolling through my Instagram and Facebook. Ian didn’t let me use the Snapchat because of the location thing, what a shame; he doesn’t like it even though I told him that I could opt-out the location.

I was too engrossed in my reading when I heard the doorbell rang. I looked at the screen to see that Josh was standing outside waiting for me, so I quickly key in the passwords and open the door for him.

“Miss me babe?” I smiled and hug him before letting him inside, looks like he’s in a playful mood tonight.

“Get ready,” he instructed. I was going to ask him about his sudden plan but he interrupts me already before I even managed to open my mouth. “We’re going to go clubbing,” he smirked.

“NO.” This one I absolutely disagree, especially Ian. We didn’t exactly have good memories related to club and he said that I can’t go there when he’s not around. “Ian told me not to go when he’s not with me.”

“Well I’m here with you,” I gave him the look and he replied it with a silly looking smile. “Aww come on sis, I need a time to relax after all day running the company,” I shake my head, “Ian don’t need to know,” I shake my head again, “we’ll bring Phil together with us,” still shaking, I am not going even if it’s the end of the world tomorrow. “Plus my card got cancelled by your lover so you need to buy me a few drinks.” He got me there, I feel pitiful towards him. When he saw I didn’t say anything, he knew that he won, like always.

“Okay, just this once but I still going to tell Ian,” he nodded in agreement so I went into my room to get change. I tried to call for Ian but it cannot be reached, he must be busy so I just left him with a text message. After a good 40 minutes, I’m ready. I found a beautiful bright red mini dress inside my closet that fitted well to my body, the hem reached to the middle of my thigh with only two thin straps on my shoulder to support the dress. I matched the dress with a pair of a Christian Louboutin ankle straps black pumps and I made my hair a bit wavy at the end. I didn’t do much on my makeup, I just made it daring by using a dark red lipstick and overall I look satisfying enough. I walked out from the room towards stunned Phil and wide smile Josh with a little bit extra thumbs up for me.

“Promise me, only a few drinks,” I gave my brother a knowing look.

"Maybe with a little dance." Another smart remark from him, I guess I would never win against my lovable sly brother.

The moment we reached there, it was already crowded with people when it's only 10 pm. I was getting anxious because this is my first time going to this club, "for a first time, I think this club is good." Am I mistaken? Is it Josh the one who said that?

"First time?! Are you getting us to get killed?! This club's safety is not proven yet and tell me, how are we going to get inside just like that?" I look at Josh incredulously by his plan but he just wiggling his eyebrows mischievously.

"I have place reserved for us, don't worry, I got friends to take care all of this," he then walk towards the bouncers that guarding the entrance and reached out a black card before giving them. They quickly gave us the way to go inside, me and Phil were following him like a lost puppy. We went through a dark alley filled with dim neon lights before reaching to the main building. "On second thought, your choice of colour would get us killed, you're attracting the predators!" I ignored Josh who commented my red dress. The dance floor is lit, there are so many people inside filling up the big space making it getting smaller. Josh points his index towards a booth to tell us that's our place. After we reached the booth, we ordered whiskey, I want a mixer but Josh said that I need to loosen up a bit. We truly enjoyed the night, I myself already downed a few shots, and that's enough to make me feel tipsy. I saw Josh and Phil drink a lot more than me but they still look okay. I really feel like I am free from anything so without wasting time, I hit the dance floor and dance to the fullest. Josh and Phil were dancing too, we laughed, we cheered, we jumped, wiggled and even twerking. I'm totally lost control of myself and my mind. After a moment, I became exhausted so I need to take a rest first, maybe another shots would help, so I signaled them to follow me to the booth, even when I'm tipsy-no, totally wasted because I'm not a good drinker, I still remember Ian's words to stay close with them.

On our way to our booth, I accidentally bumped into a woman, "Fuck!" the woman cursed; I shake my dizzy head to get a better vision of her.

"I'm so sorry," I managed to apologize to the angry sexy woman that glaring me right now.

"Isn't it lovely? We meet again," suddenly another woman came out of nowhere looking at me cynically. "Do you know her Catt?" the sexy woman asked her friend that I think I've seen her somewhere before.

She smirked at me, "She's the slutty blonde bimbo," she pointed me, "the fuckboy," she pointed behind me, that would be Josh, "and this one I don't know maybe her new playtoy" she must be pointing at Phil. That's amazing considering I could hear clearly their voice despite the booming sound in here is deafening.

"Wow! Look what we got here, the twin bitch, lovely to meet you again Cattrin." Josh step up to the front followed by Phil who's obviously don't know what's going on right now. Oh! I remember her! The front desk woman that was angry at me for making her friend Amy lost her job as Ian’s PA. So, it must be Amy that I just bumped into earlier, oh my nugget! Mind blown!

Both of them just smirked at us before they called for someone. Suddenly two muscular men came from behind them looking all scary and tough. This must be their boyfriend. Are they bouncers? Look at their bulky arm, wow!

"I don't think this is necessa-"

"Shut up bitch!" the Catt girl just shouted at me, I gasped. I'm just trying to cool down the tension girl, don't hate me because of that, I'm trying to be nice here. The alcohol must be working like a magic because I don't feel hurt by her words. Usually I would be sensitive about cursing words but not tonight.

"Try to say that again if you want to lose all of your front teeth" oh no, the mean Josh appears again. Catt looks frightened by his threat.

"Watch your mouth boy," one of the guys warned Josh, it was Amy’s boyfriend. I know it because he stands behind her, logical thinking right?

"Well this 'boy' that makes these two ladies in front of you screaming in pleasures." Josh just added fuel to the fire, he always loves to aggravate people.

"Haha, that's funny," I couldn't contain my laugh. Yup, Wasted. I could see how red the bouncers face in anger, we just dig our own 6 ft graves.

"Shit. This is not even Red's territory," I heard Josh said that to himself, I wonder what territory is that. He turns his eyes on me in worry, "Sis, you got to st-"

Josh couldn't finish his words when suddenly a big punch slammed into his jaw causing him to get thrown away to the floor but he quickly gets up again. I was stupefied to respond, I just stared at my brother who's cracking his neck from side to side, "Oh, this gonna be fun."

In a flash, he lunged towards the guy-I mean Catt's boyfriend and they both started to fight, a big nasty one. I saw Amy's boyfriend also joined the fight by attacking Phil, luckily Phil managed to avoid it quick before launching a kick to that guy's stomach. Instantly, the club became a mess by Josh and Phil fighting right now. I don't know what to do, how to help them. I noticed Josh almost win the fight but the girls noticed that too, so they both went to attack Josh by hitting him with their clutches and kicking him in the stomach causing Josh to get weaker and his opponent managed to grab the chance to flip Josh on to the floor and three of them beat him together. That is when I saw red, Josh can’t hit the girls, well I can! My wasted mind was all gone replaced by a sudden wake up call. Nobody hurt my brother! I borrow one of the woman's clutch from the crowd that watching the feud and walked straight to the three of them, I noticed how Phil still struggling too but he'll live. With a tight grip on that hard, glittery clutch (nice colour though), I marched towards them then swung my arm up to the air and BAM! one girl down, Amy was thrown away from my brother, the other two were shocked but I don't give them too much time when I swing again and it hit directly to Catt’s face causing her to collapsed. Josh took the chance to retaliate so I left both Josh and Phil to deal with their own when I deal with this nuisance bitches. This time no mercy, mess with my brother means mess with me. I walked towards Amy, which I knocked down first to see that she already fainted on the floor with a nasty bruise. How weak, now it’s only left with that big mouth of a slut that kicked my brother. I underestimated her when I thought she would be out too but she stood upright with those bleeding lips while glaring deathly at me. Did I tell you I mastered karate? Now I'm going to release my inner karate demon and this time no holding back.

I started to move but I feel like a bull in rage when I saw Amy’s boyfriend smashed Phil in the face repeatedly so I ran towards the guy, I forget about that bitch. I gave him a killer side kick to the jaw and I went to pull his collar to choke him so he can't reach Phil but to my surprise, he managed to grab my hand and forcefully pushed me to the floor. I felt like my soul just knocked out from my body, suddenly the guy flew from his spot because Josh
