Sorry for the late update, something came up but thank God it's settled already. Enjoy~

Leah:

"I thought my princess already forgotten his old father," my dad sounded hurt right now, I don't blame him though because I called him after a week 'busy' with work in clinic, and we haven't told him about how things changed already with me as a staff not a vet not forgetting our new address. I just hope my dad forgive us later when he find out about this eventually.

"I'm sorry papa, I guess things don't go as smooth as I hope and I was too caught up with it until I forgot to inform you," I explained calmly so my dad can't suspect anything.

"That's okay princess, at least you're fine and healthy. Right?" He does sounds suspicious right now but I need to maintain cool about it. My dad is a very wise man so I need to be careful. Extra careful.

"Of course I am, like always. Have you call Liam today?"

"I will later, so do you want to tell about something to your old man? Perhaps someone?" I went shocked by his question, I didn't expect this. What am I going to say?!

"NO." I said it a bit loud than I expected.

"Hmm, really?" I swear I could feel that my dad's eyebrows were raised on the other side of the line. I just fell directly into his twisted words trap, like always and he's not even twisting it!

"Just bring him over so I can see the guy better," You mean making him scared by your famous verbal threat coated with sugary words that sweeter than honey I think.

"I thought you don't want any guy near me after Billy," I said reminding him about the expert guy that I just broke up with months ago.

"I don't like him but it doesn't mean I want my daughter to stay single for the rest of her life. That's not how life works princess." I nodded in agreement even though my dad can't see it.

"I will, when I'm ready."

"Well I better be prepared. It will happen soon."

After I called my dad, I can't stop thinking about me and Ian. Am I ready? I think I am. As I still stuck in my trance, I didn't realize that Ian just came out from his room. "Leah, are you okay?" I turn my head towards his direction to see him looking at me worriedly. I smiled at him before putting down my phone on the table. "I was just talking to my dad," I said as I walked towards him. "Really? Anything happens?" Immediately my hands reach to the necktie that dangling on his neck right now already accustomed on tying it for him when he needs to wear it. "No, we just haven't talked for a long time. Will you be available after today's meeting?" I asked him changing the topic while still tying the red necktie and he seems okay with it. "Aren't you my trustful PA? You should've known better about my schedule," he teased. I know all about his activities but I need confirmation in case any changes he wants to make. Even we have feelings for each other, it doesn't mean we can't be professional and I try really hard to be a reliable worker for him. "I don't think so, only the usual things," he answered after I just smiled at his teasing.

We both head out from the house after I confirmed that Ian ready for his annual shareholder meeting, Ian was really a different person when he's in his business mode and I admire him for that. The meeting was a success considering I'm capable of arranging the entire event even though I'm not used to it but of course with the help of my brothers and their reluctant secretaries. No one knows about our relationship because I told them not to tell anybody, I just want a fair treatment. Even some hates me for getting the attention of the 'bosses' in Knight Corp, the others surprisingly nice and fine because they saw how I really doing my job and they think I have the attentions because I earned it but honestly I don't mind any of it. Currently, I'm with Josh in a coffee shop because we always hang out here at least for an hour during office hour while the others are working right now. It seems he developed new hobby because he's not a fan of wasting time in a coffee shop but things change.

"Josh, are you done eating?" I don't want to waste any time in doing nothing, I have a lot of work waiting for me in the office."

"Relax Leah, I'm still eating. This chocolate fondue taste great." He exclaimed.

"Why don't you eat while I order drinks for them." He nodded still focusing on his fondue. I went to the counter to order some refreshments. After that we went back to the company and by the time we got out from the elevator Josh got a phone call, so he motions me to go first. I went to Ian's office- no, our office bringing him his favourite latte. I wonder what he's up to, maybe scanning through some documents again. I barged into the room without knocking, I freeze on my step the moment I saw what's inside the room. Ian is kissing a woman- I'm kidding. He he. I saw Ian diligently typing on his laptop but immediately stopped when I barged in just now, how 'well mannered' I am.

"I'm so sorry I guess I'm still not use to work under someone, I should've knocked first." Ian just smiled at my apology showing that he's okay with it, so I walk to his desk and put the latte. He took the drink while I went to my own desk to start the job that I left earlier.

"By the way Leah, Liam wants you to meet him in his office now."

"Why?" He just showed me the look that he doesn't know anything about it.

I went to Liam's office soon after that. He's typing something when I entered, he noticed me coming so he stopped doing his work. We both then went to sit on the couch, I noticed that files and papers were crowded on his desk, but no coffee. Josh must be forgot to give them the drinks that I bought earlier. "Where's Josh? He should've give you the coffee I bought."

"Really? Maybe later," Liam doesn't pay attention that much, I wonder what's bothering my little brother right here.

"Ian said you want to see me, anything bothering you Pumpkin?" My brother really hates this nickname that me and our dad gave in but he still can't do nothing about it. He could only let out a frustrated sigh and that makes me happy.

"Dad called me when you were out with Josh sis." He stated. That's it? He only want to say that?

"So?"

"So?" He emphasized the word, I just look at him while trying to understand what he's trying to point exactly. "He asked me about the man who's with you right now, He even tried to squeeze out Ian's info from me!" He exclaimed.

"What did you say? Did you tell anything?" Nervous feelings swirling around my stomach right now, I don't want our dad to know anything like this, I want to explain it myself.

"Of course not, I just told him to wait till you introduce him yourself." Relief sigh escape from me as I slump into the couch while giving my cute Pumpkin in front of me a thumbs up. "That would be the last time I cover you sis, when will you call dad and tell him about Ian?"

"Call? Who said anything about calling?" Liam looks confused.

"Then what? Are you going to show him his picture?"

"Why do I need to show dad his picture when I could bring the man himself." I smiled at my brother who looks really surprised by my idea.

"As in into our house?! This is crazy Leah, I don't want to have anything to do with this, no, NOPE."

"Why? Ian is a good man and he's your boss and also buddy, don't you agree with us?" I asked my incredibly unbelievable brother who was just stared at me dumbfounded as I smiled at him sweetly. I saw him shaking his head in disbelief along with words that he muttered silently, I think I heard about dad is going to be mad or something like that but I don't really care that much because he obviously exaggerated, like always.

"Are you guys dating?"

Well..... Who knows.....

"So? Anything serious?" Ian asked me right away when I sat down on my chair after I just got back from Liam's office. I looked at his handsome feature then I smiled happily before shaking my head lightly. He eyed me curiously.

"Should I be worried by that beautiful smile of yours?" I blushed. I only reply his question with another smile. I can't wait to bring him to meet the most important man in my heart. I saw that his eyes twinkled as he staring at me, he can't even hide his affection for me and I love it so much when I always could see it right through his dark brown eyes.

"I forgot to tell you, we're going to my grandpa's tomorrow morning." I was in utterly shock by his sudden news, meeting his family is not in my plan, at least not yet.

"Why?"

"Tomorrow is his company's annual dinner, and I want to introduce you to him," he said casually while smiling.

"Can't it be on a day that is not involve many people? I'm not comfortable to socialize with other rich people," he frowned at my words.

"He'll be going to Europe for a month after the annual dinner and don't worry about that people, I'll always be there beside you. Please Jellyface, it's an important deal for me." I nodded, I could never reject him especially when he pleaded with that big puppy eyes. I just hope everything will be okay.
