Once his eyes opened they were greeted by intense darkness. At first, he didn't understand where he was as his head throbbed painfully almost making his eyes dizzy. He was confused and didn't know what was happening so he eventually gave up and fell back asleep.

When he woke up again, his head felt somewhat better and in no time memories started surging back in and he remembered beating the hell out of Noah and then storming out of the house in search of Famous, he remembered waiting for a bus, he remembered been grabbed and forced into a car the rest was a blur. He tried to move but realized for the first time that he was tied up, both hands and legs joint tightly behind his back, he wriggled but it was of no use, he tried to scream for help but his mouth was sealed shut with a tape, the extreme darkness he saw was due to the fact that his head was shrouded with a bag.

He tried to stay still and listen, to feel anything around him, his hands couldn't feel much considering the position they were tied in. He was lying on his side in a very tight space, and it didn't take long for him to figure out he was in a car trunk and the vehicle was moving. He had absolutely no idea how much longer they rode for, as he kept falling in and out of sleep but he sure knew when the car stopped and he was dragged out of the trunk by two strong men. One grabbing onto both of his hands while the other held onto his legs. It wasn't as if he could have fought back seeing that he was really weak and his head kept throbbing in his ears. He couldn't make out their faces with the bag covering his head but he could discern their voices as they made jokes while carrying him to their desired destination.

Adrian felt a sharp pain jabbed at his left shoulder when he was roughly thrown to the ground, he groaned in pain as a boot ran into his stomach knocking air right out of his lungs.

Then it became silent.

For many hours he was certain he was alone at wherever it was they had taken him. He was terrified, he wanted to reach out for help but there was no way that would have been possible. He didn't want to die and he most certainly didn't know what he did and why he was being held captive in such a manner. He tried to stay calm after too many failed attempts to escape his bondage.

His heart has never skipped so fast his entire life as it did when he heard a huge metal door swung open and the sounds of strong boots connecting with the hard floor. Adrian was certain he stopped breathing, he just stayed completely still.

"Is that him?" A rough voice asked. The voice was intimidating and void of emotions whatsoever.

"Yes, our job here is done, the rest is up to you." Another replied this one did sound familiar as Adrian was almost convinced he was one of the two men that had carried him out of the car and had thrown him in that room. He, however, didn't know which one of them had kicked his stomach but that wasn't the least of his worries at the moment.

"You better hurry, the dog is tied up at that end." Another familiar voice spoke.

Confirmed, Adrian knew that both men were present in the room.

"We are off to pick up our balance and get out of town." The first voice replied and soon Adrian heard boots moving and the metal door opened and closed.

He could still feel the presence of someone in the room.

Who was that?

What would he do to him?

Who has he wronged?

Adrian's head wandered in fear as he stayed quietly still on that hard cold floor. So still that it looked as though he was carved into the ground. His hands were starting to hurt having been tied up for who knows how long and his stomach burnt from starvation while his throat ran dry with thirst even his saliva when swallowed felt like dust in his throat.

A faint smell filled the room and he breathed in the strong smell of weed, his stomach churned and his eyes watered. If his mouth wasn't sealed he would have pleaded with whoever was in the room with him to help and not hurt him.

"So, you're Adrian or is it Amanda?" The thick voice asked and Adrian felt his heart beating rapidly in his chest he thought it would burst.

They knew who he was.

The man after what seemed like forever walked behind Adrian and pulled out the bag covering his face, Adrian winced in pain as the bright light in the room met his eyes and he quickly shut them back up. He soon tied his eyes with a piece of material shortly after.

Adrian was back in the dark.

"Sorry, little man, but I can't let you see my face." He rasped in that tick voice once again.

With his heart pumping so much blood in his ears he felt tears rolling down his face.

The man without warning yanked the tape sealing his mouth and Adrian yelped in pain when the tape came off.

"Open up." He urged and Adrian opened his mouth to feel drops of water rolling straight into the back of his dry throat. He drank greedily but was filled with joy at the man's kindness.

He had offered him water and Adrian was grateful.

"Thank you." He whispered.

"You know, my job is to make sure you're dead and your body is never found." He told him and Adrian swallowed loudly.

"Why?" Way to go with world dumbest question since he was kidnapped for a reason, right? But, he was desperate to know what he had done wrong. Who he has offended.

"You are in someone's way and they want you out by any means necessary." He replied. Adrian felt him sat close to him but the man didn't do anything else. "You messed with the wrong group and they want you dead and it's my job to kill you." He whispered into his ear.

Adrian wasn't prepared for all this information as it wasn't helping his level of anxiety but he couldn't ask his killer not to speak, somehow he needed to hear these words.

"Please!" Adrian's voice shook.

"I have the dog to kill as well, so you see, I have got my job cut out for me." He laughed so loud that Adrian stopped breathing.

He had heard them mention a dog before but his mind was too occupied with all the happenings around him to settle what dog it was they spoke off.

"B-Billy?" He asked. But, how could it be Billy? The dog wasn't with him on that day, or was he? No, he didn't take the dog. Who then gave them the dog and why?

"Yes." The man held a smile to his voice.

Adrian was confused, was it Elijah who wanted him dead? But it just couldn't be Elijah as he would never hurt his favorite dog. Who then was it?

"I will let you in on a secret." The killer started and this time Adrian dared not ask any further questions for fear of what his answers might be. "I killed Jack."

Adrian was horrified, he thought the boy had died in an accident, so it was murder, but why?

"He went too close to the fire and he got burnt."

"F-fire?" Adrian whispered.

"The same fire you were dancing towards."

"I didn't dance with fire." Adrian didn't understand the man at all.

"Elijah, he is the fire." The man replied and at that moment it all made sense. Jack was murdered because of Elijah, so Elijah was in a relationship with him and because he is attracted to Elijah they want him dead.

Adrian didn't know what to say since if truly this man killed Jack and no one noticed the boy's death as murder but just an accident then he would most definitely kill him and nobody would even know where his remains would be dumped or even buried. He shuddered at the thought.

"I saw your pictures." He started again and Adrian heard a lighter spark and the smell of smoke filled his nostrils once again.

Adrian gagged, he knew just what picture the man meant.

"Were you born that way. You know with the-" it was obvious he didn't know how to pass the question.

"I was born in the wrong body."

"Wrong body?" He asked.

"Yes, and now I am only trying to get the body I should have been born into, the body that belonged to me." Adrian couldn't help but cry.

"How do you know your body was wrong?" He asked clearly confused.

Adrian had no idea why his killer was intrigued by this conversation but he wasn't ready to provoke the man even more and any discussion that doesn't have to explain his death was very much welcomed at this point, so he went on to answer him.

"I had known since I was a child, I knew it was wrong, I knew it didn't belong to me, I knew it wasn't my body, I have always known." The tears wouldn't stop coming and Adrian didn't even try to stop them.

"Yeah, but how?" The man asked again.

"Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and hate what you saw, or wanted a different body, one that is different from what you see?" Adrian asked him.

A long silence stretched out for a few minutes and Adrian gave him time to think it through.

"Well, one time, I gained so much weight and I was self-conscious about that until I started going to the gym almost every day but apart from that, I have always loved my body, I look at myself in the mirror and I am pleased with what I see and I would never want to change from being a man to a woman. No, I don't see that happening, not even a thought." He replied.

"That is because you were born in the right body, you had nothing to not love about it or the way you look. This isn't about gaining weight, this is much deeper, many don't understand these feelings of entrapment, especially when I look at myself in the mirror, all I wanted to do was pile my skin off just so I don't get to look at those wrong parts. It bothered me as I grew older and eventually I couldn't keep it to myself so I told my family and they disowned me afterward. I left home when I was seventeen and I have never gone back." Adrian didn't know what came over him but his mouth kept spilling and wouldn't stop.

"How old are you?"

"Twenty-four," Adrian whispered.

"Eight years!" The man sounded impressed. "I have never seen anyone like you before, you have been through a lot already and I wouldn't want to be the one who ends your existence even before your journey begins. So, I will make you a deal, I will set you free but you will have to promise me that you will disappear completely as I am going to deliver a message that you are dead, so I don't want anyone seeing you or even knowing that you are still alive, otherwise I will come back and finish you off. I want to believe that you have saved up enough money from working with Elijah so that money can take you anywhere" The man got up and Adrian heard him walking around the room as if he was setting things in place, Adrian could hear objects moving around. "Just to make you understand how serious what I am about to do for you is, I will teach you a few lessons so that when you remember it you will keep to your end of the bargain that is if you do not want me to come back to finish what I have started. I know everything about you and everyone you visit or are in relations with, so I will find you and not only you but those you care about, those whom you love." Adrian was hauled up from the ground and soon he was been chained, first his hands and then his legs. His heart beating faster in his chest, both arms spread wide apart as the man chained him up. "Promise me that you will disappear and that you will stay far away from Elijah." He spoke.

"I-I promise." Adrian started but yowled in pain when a sharp cut slashed his back, he felt his skin tear open and warmblood soaked through his clothing making his skin wet but the man didn't stop there. He went on to deliver more and more strokes until he passed out.

But before he fell unconscious, he heard the man whisper. "And take Billy with you." Then he heard the dog whimpering in pain.

Had he struck the dog with the sword too?

Adrian was afraid for his life. He said he wasn't going to kill him but he was as good as gone at this stage. He couldn't feel his back, the pain he felt was excruciating and he could feel blood wetting his skin and rolling down his legs as water would.

Maybe he had lied.

Maybe he was going to kill him after all.

He should have known better than to trust someone who had only told me a few minutes ago that he had killed someone, someone the world had thought dead by an accident.

******

Adrian was shocked when he found himself standing face to face with Jonathan. He was glad to see the man as he had thought he would never see him again. The killer may have brought him there because he knew he wouldn't have gone anywhere with how bloody he was.

It would have risen suspicions.

He was in so much pain that he couldn't do as little as move his lips, every little movement, every step he took hurts like hell and he just cried, he didn't know how to process the pain any other way. The killer's warning still rang in his ears like a curse and he was scared. He didn't even know he held Billy in his hands until he felt Jonathan preying the whimpering dog from his death grip.

While Jonathan cleaned his damaged body, the pain caused his heart to burn and his eyes leaked.

Jonathan had tried to feed him but the food tasted too bad that he couldn't keep it in as soon as he had swallowed. He also didn't notice Billy until the dog was placed beside him on the bed.

When Jonathan was about leaving the room, he had remembered the man's warnings and he had pleaded with Jonathan not to reveal him to anyone as the man would not only be coming after him but after those, he cared about. He would die if anything should happen to Jonathan or Oliver and since the reason behind all this was Elijah, that made the man the last person he wanted to see and even if his heart yearns for him, he just couldn't. He still needs to figure out who it was that was behind all of this and when he does find out, what would he do? Who would believe him or how would he win a fight against them?

The best option he had was to lie low until he was strong enough and then he will just disappear for good.
