As his wispy unremembered dreams began to fade into nothingness and his mind returned to normalcy, Adrian felt Elijah's warmness pressed into him, holding him tightly to his chest, his muscle arm thrown over him as if he would never let go.

He didn't want him to.

Yesterday, was the happiest he's lived in all his life, well, at least so he thought until someone who seems not to want his happiness decided to ruin it.

********

Andrew had woken him up from sleep on that beautiful morning and had asked that he got into the bathroom, no questions asked and he obeyed.

After he was finished in the bathroom and had returned into the familiar bedroom he's come to adore the past two weeks, he saw Andrew seated on the sofa and typing away on his phone.

As Adrian made his way towards the bed, he saw Andrew took his eyes off the phone long enough to acknowledge his presence in the room before returning his focus back to his phone.

A loud gasp fell off Adrian's mouth when his eyes caught sight of the sets of clothes laid out on the bed in wait for him. In two weeks, he had own so much clothing and shoes to last him a lifetime. Elijah had turned a room next to him into his own walk-in closet and the room was nearly filled.

He smiled at the thought of the older man. Elijah hasn't left his side in two weeks. He had attended to his needs as well as taking care of his businesses from his office space downstairs and Adrian couldn't be more grateful.

The only person who has traveled back and forth, three times was Andrew.

His bruises were almost gone, leaving just scars that will fade in time.

"What are you waiting for?" Andrew asked startling him. Adrian knew he was referring to the clothes he wouldn't stop staring at. "Choose your today's look and come with me." The man told him and then went back to his phone.

Something doesn't feel right about the way he said that but Adrian couldn't ask him any questions as he was busy with his phone. He could be in a business meeting. He has seen Elijah done that once too many times to know. Adrian ignored him and went to select the clothes he liked best among the many on his bed and then he went to put them on.

After he was finished, he stepped back into the bedroom and Andrew met his gaze with his usual cocky smile and Adrian laughed.

"You take my breath away." He made a choking sound and Adrian laughed harder, he would never get used to Andrew's never-ending compliments. "Follow me." He got up and walked out of the room in a haste.

Adrian quickly checked himself in the mirror, he used his hand to smoothen his hair before running after Andrew. But, he lost the man as he soon found himself standing alone on the passageway bestrewn with rose petals, the only light illuminating his way came from candle lights leading down the stairs.

Confused, he stepped on roses as he made his way down the passageway and towards the stairs.

He would have asked Andrew what was going on if the man hadn't just disappeared into thin air.

On the first flight of stairs, a sticky note on the wall caught his attention and he stopped to pull it out.

'Follow the roses' the words read and a smile lined his lips as he followed the roses down the stairs and into the huge living room. At the bottom of the stairs another sticky note. Adrian shook his head and yanked it out.

'On the dining table,' it read.

More rose petals but this time he practically skipped his way towards the table. He wasn't very good at keeping still with surprises and once he got to the rather huge table, a beautiful brown basket sat atop the table filled with boxes of chocolates, his favorite kinds.

Could this be the surprise?

His heart rate at this time would have reached a million beats a second as he scanned the basket for another clue and he found one.

Another sticky note tied nicely with a ribbon.

"Shit." He cussed out loud and took the note.

'In the basket, lies a blindfold put it on'

Adrian dug into the basket, throwing boxes of chocolate as he searched for the blindfold and he soon found it, at the bottom of the basket.

He pulled it out and looked around the empty room but no one was in sight, even Billy was nowhere to be seen.

He slowly pulled the blindfold on and intense darkness greeted him sending his memory back to that day in that car trunk.

His breathing heavy, he stayed calm trying to even his breathing.

He is safe.

Elijah would never hurt him.

He chanted like a mantra in his mind until he felt his breathing returned to normal.

A hand soon gripped his own and he smiled. The hand-guided him to who knows where.

After they had walked for a while, the hand holding onto him pulled away and he was left standing all by himself.

What should he do now?

He wondered and after what seems like an eternity had passed, he slowly pulled the blindfold off.

"Happy Birthday!!" The loud chorus coupled with the bright and beautifully decorated room had him almost jumping out of his skin.

What actually threw him over with joy was the people present in the room.

Jonathan, Oliver and even Noah. He was too happy to see them that he didn't worry about the threats from the killer, he simply ran into their embrace. They were happy to see him, there was no denying that. After their hugs had come to an end, Adrian recognizes the other people in the room. Elijah, Andrew, Phil, John and Billy who had a package in between his teeth he was drooling all over it. He was going to hug Elijah when Billy nudged his legs and he bent down to greet the dog.

Billy soon dropped the package for him and Adrian picked up the nice box and opened it. Inside was a car key.

He looked at it and saw Billy running out of the room, Adrian followed him.

He burst into loud laughter when he saw the beautiful gold Porsche with his name on it.

He hadn't even remembered it was his birthday and it wouldn't be the first time. Everyone around him tends to know it's his birthday except him and the fact that Elijah had known, thrilled him to no end.

He swiveled around and stumbled into the said man. Slowly he raised his head to lock gaze with Elijah and without thinking, pressed their lips in a toe-curling kiss.

Elijah leaned into him, letting his body collapse onto his. Adrian could feel his tension and fear and happiness melt over Elijah's skin like a wave breaking on the rocks. His wet cheeks pressed to Elijah's face and he breathed him in, not just his scent, but him. His selflessness, his passion, his love for him mixed with all those qualities he held on his own, like cream blending with coffee to make something new, until you couldn't separate his from him ever again.

Elijah pulled his face down and kissed him fiercely, pulling Adrian's breath into his mouth and driving him onto his toes. Elijah felt his hardness, twitch to life and growing inside its mesh binding. His body responding to Adrian's touch and kisses by firing on all cylinders.

Both Adrian and Elijah groaned loudly in frustrations as Andrew pulled them apart.

Elijah glared daggers at him and Andrew reciprocated with a much meaner glare of his own.

"What are you going to do? Bite me?" He fired at Elijah and Adrian couldn't help but laugh. "Save this for later, some of us have gifts to give while some of us had traveled millions of miles to be here!" He dragged Adrian back into the house and the boy stared at Elijah's lust-filled eyes all the way until he disappeared into the house.

*****

"I thought you both were going to fuck each other brains off out there!" Oliver laughed when he saw Andrew walking in with the reluctant Adrian behind.

"They would have if I didn't intervene." Andrew kissed Adrian's cheeks and the boy smirked.

"Blow out your candles," Noah called to him and Adrian walked toward the beautiful cake. He soon blew the candles out and got the first slice. He was going to get Elijah to share his first piece with him when he saw Andrew and Noah on a staredown. The moment he caught them, Noah looked away shyly and walked the other direction, while Andrew bounced a little on his toes like a schoolgirl.

The smile that crept up Adrian's cheeks was one of those rare genuine smiles. The kind where you simply have to smile because to not smile would make you explode.

He has never seen Andrew look so helpless in the two weeks he has come to know and love the man. He walked over to him and grabbed his elbow, pulling him close and very nearly giggled at him.

"Looks like you got stung by the love bug." Adrian smiled up at him.

Andrew saw Adrian staring at him, studying him. He had done that on other people for a long time but hadn't even noticed it being done to him. It was oddly unnerving. He felt like Adrian was weighing him. From the way he was studying his body language, he knew that Adrian already had his answers but luckily for him, his body-smile happiness was enough to stave off the weirdness of that observation.

"I suppose that wouldn't be so bad," Andrew replied after a little while. For someone who hasn't fallen in love ever or believed in it, it was a big deal to be in this position but he couldn't deny what he was feeling staring at that boy. He felt it the very first time he had seen him after Adrian had beaten him but he shoved it aside.  Even then, he couldn't deal with it alright and he had ended up giving him so much money to get himself treated. He remembered mentioning the boy to Elijah once and he knew that was one of the reasons Elijah had invited the boy, taking him by surprise and seeing the boy again the second time, seems to have stirred up that emotion.

Adrian laughed and left him standing there while he went in search of Elijah.

*********

"What?!" The voice coming from behind the closed door halted Adrian and he stood at the door eavesdropping. "She can't do that to me. They have no right!"

Adrian was confused. Today was his birthday, Elijah deserved to be happy just like everyone else but that voice he was hearing didn't sound the least happy.

"What's going on?" Andrew came behind Adrian. He was watching the boy as he left him and he knew he was going in search of Elijah, but when he saw him standing at the door and not going in, he knew something was wrong.

"He seems to be talking to someone and he doesn't sound pleased," Adrian whispered. He didn't know why he was whispering, but he felt he needed to give the man his private.

"You know, he loves you more than anyone in this world so it wouldn't be such a big deal if you walked into his conversation." Andrew smiled at him and pushed the door open dragging Adrian in with him. As they got into the office space Elijah had just smashed his phone against the wall. "Hey!" Andrew rushed over to him and hugged him tightly.

Adrian saw him shaking in rage and he quickly put down the cake to go look at the phone. Too late, it was broken and scattered about. Andrew told him, he had ruined a phone on the day he had tried cooking him dinner and now he just ruined another one.

"What's going on?" Andrew asked his dear friend.

"Nova colluded with my father to have Tony in charge of my companies until I am serious enough to return to my responsibilities, can you honestly believe these people?!" he got up and paced the room, angrily shoving his books off the glass table and smashing things in rage.

"Tony? Her cousin?" Andrew was angry. Tony had nothing on running the smallest of establishment talk more a huge one as E.Wealths. He was convinced now that this was all Nova's doing. Why was she hell-bent on ruining Elijah's life this much? He just couldn't grasp her reasons for all of this.

The beeping sound coming from an open laptop on the table caught their attention. That was actually the only thing left that wasn't broken from that table.

Elijah swiped the button, receiving the call.

Andrew walked behind him and groaned out angrily. "Speak of the devil." He said between gritted teeth.

"They put me in charge and I will make sure you don't return back here." Tony's voice filled the room and Adrian hated the man instantly. Tony is only going to ruin his hard work and reduce his companies to nothing.

The man was sitting in his office, on his chair. Elijah was outraged at the sight. "Wearing a suit and sitting in the CEO's chair doesn't make you a businessman," Elijah told the arrogant jerk on his chair.

"Your father thinks otherwise." The man mocked.

"I will be seeing you tomorrow and you had better make yourself scarce by the time I get there!" He punched the laptop knocking it over and onto the ground.

"Fuck!!' He fumed.

Adrian walked towards him and gently touched his chest, the man met his eyes and they both held eye contact for what seemed like forever.

"Nova is a smart woman, she knows something has to be wrong for me to be away for so long and now she is trying to frustrate me into coming back to her." His voice cracked and Adrian felt a teardrop ran down his cheeks.

Adrian did the only thing he could, he kissed him. After a few seconds, Elijah returned his kiss and heaved a long dragged out sigh. Adrian backed them up until they got to a door that leads to a private room. Elijah didn't even sense the change in motion or directions, never realized his feet had left the ground, with his lips against Adrian's, their hearts beating in tandem, he couldn't have possibly cared less if the sun never rose again or if Nova took all he has worked so hard for.

This was home.

He was happy.

That was all that matters.

Adrian spun him around and lay him on the bed. Their lips crashed together and he felt Adrian's tongue probing his mouth. He responded without thinking, returning his kiss and pulling him closer into his body. Adrian pulled at his shirt with one hand and in one swift motion, he took it off.

Elijah's arm grabbed at the bare skin of Adrain's back, feeling the muscles tense and relax as he pushed his entire bulk onto his body and ground himself into Adrian.

His legs opened on their own and Adrian slipped easily between his thighs, one hand reaching down and grasping the growing mound in his pants.

Adrian's full lips and tongue were working up and down the side of his neck, sucking gently on his sensitive skin as his hands continue to massage his hardness to full attention.

Elijah bit his lower lip to hold back a moan. It came unbidden anyway when Adrian undid his pants and slipped his fingers on his flat stomach and beneath the waistband.

"Ohhh," he sighed, lifting his hips from the mattress so Adrian could yank his pants to his thighs and off. Adrian watched with satisfaction as Elijah's thick tool sprang out and slapped hard against his stomach. He saw liquid beginning to ooze from the slit and onto Elijah's skin, warm and sticky. Adrian growled, his fingers finally gripping the shaft tightly, squeezing as he milked a long stream of precum from Elijah.

Elijah remembered Adrian's back, he may have healed but he was still hurting from time to time, he was going to tell him to stop, but before he could fully form the thought in his brain, Adrian shot him a wicked grin and dove onto his member, his mouth wide.

Any lingering doubts he had, evaporated like water on a hot skillet the moment he felt Adrian push his entire body down his warm throat, his wet tongue undulating along with the case of his shaft. Elijah felt his nose tickle his trimmed pubes and his fingers immediately grabbed his head and pushed him further into his lap.

Adrian welcomed it. He was going to make him feel pleasure, so intense that he would fall asleep not remembering all the threats his wife poses at him. He had swallowed him whole with ease and this was his first time at this attempt, he was impressed.

Elijah thrust upwards, grinding his hips into his mouth, as his body pulsed and throbbed inside him. Elijah closed his eyes as he felt the low rumbles from Adrian's chest vibrated against his body. He was close as he felt the familiar white-hot fire climb in his veins and shimmer through his entire being. He slammed his rod into Adrian's mouth one last time, throbbing and thickening inside the warmness of his mouth.

Adrian knew what was coming, he too was ready, he could feel Elijah shiver underneath him, he clamped down on his shaft waiting for it.

Elijah had no idea how to describe the sound that came from his body as he felt his lusts and anxieties, his fear and worries, he felt them all emptied into Adrian's mouth and that sapped his strength and filled his love to the brim.

Adrian dared not move as he filled him, he tried to swallow all he offered and he was pleased to learn that he stuck it out.

Not a single drop escaped.

Slowly, he pulled his mouth off and licked his aching lips.

Elijah laid half-dead and completely still, his eyes blinking and chest pumping heavily as he breathed in and out.

Adrian climbed beside him on the bed and wrapped his arms around him.

Soon, he heard the man sniffling and his body rocking in jerky movements. He held him in place, allowing him to let it all out. He has no idea what would happen or is about to happen and he never cared.

What mattered was that they were together, they had each other.

They stayed like that for a while, slowly rocking back and forth together, holding each other.

It wasn't long they fell asleep.

Leaving the world to deal with its worries for now.
