"Happy Birthday!" Celeste and Angel jumped onto Luna who was still in bed. It is the morning of December 20th, a week after Luna returned home from spending four months in Brazil.

It's been a week since she has been home and there have been no word from Grayson. Given, Angel informed Luna that Grayson was out of the country for business, but she still felt a bit bitter that he hadn't contacted her. She felt a bit silly for feeling the way she was because she could easily be the one to contact him first, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.

As for her birthday, Celeste and Angel have decided to combine it with her welcome home celebration party.

'Yay,' Luna thought sarcastically when her sister told her a couple days before. 'One less party to go to.'

Celeste and Angel arrived early in the morning to take Luna out for a makeover; not that there was anything wrong with how she looked; they just wanted their little sister to be the most beautiful one at the party.

When they got outside, a white limo was awaiting them. Celeste didn't want anything less than the best ride for her baby sister. The three of them got in the limo and it drove off.

"Happy birthday, Miss." Sean was in the driver's seat.

"Oh good morning, Sean. Thank you!"

The day was packed with hair and makeup appointments, mani-pedi sessions, dress shopping, brunch and dessert. By the time they were finished, Luna was exhausted. Sean drove them back to Celeste's home, where the party was being held.

Luna stepped out of the car in a dazzling gold spaghetti-strapped, floor-length dress, baring her slightly tanned shoulders and arms from her four months in Brazil.

"Surprise!" When Luna and her sisters entered the doorway of the house, confetti shot up into the air, balloons flew to the ceiling, stringers blasted through the air, and people were clapping, congratulating Luna on her 26th birthday.

Luna was led into the dining room, which was slightly decorated for the party, where she was presented with a beautiful, tiered floral cake. After the birthday song, Luna made the first cut into the cake and slices were served all around.

As everyone was enjoying themselves with the food and company, Luna's eyes scanned the room.

"Who are you looking for?" A familiar voice sounded from behind Luna. Surprised, she turned around to see Noah with a big smile on her face. "Happy birthday, Luna!" He enveloped her with his arms in a warm hug.

"Noah!" Luna's lips turned up and her eyes glistened as she reciprocated the hug. "How have you been?" They both broke away from the embrace, still all smiles.

"I have been doing very well. Nothing too interesting occurred while you were gone," he said with a snicker.

"What do you mean 'nothing too interesting'?" It was Sera. She walked up to Luna and Noah. She tiptoed up to Noah and gently pecked him on the lips. Luna's eyes widened. "You got yourself a girlfriend," Sera said matter-of-factly. Sera turned to Luna and gave her a hug. "Happy birthday. It's been a while."

"Thank you," Luna said. "Congrats," Luna whispered as they hugged. They both giggled. As they pulled away from the hug, Luna quickly glanced behind Sera.

"My brother's not here," Sera said.

"Huh?" Luna asked. She didn't want to seem like she was looking for Grayson.

"Grayson hasn't returned from his business trip yet," Noah said in a low tone.

"I wasn't—" Luna started.

"He should be back by the end of this month," Noah said reassuringly.

"If he doesn't decide to marry that girl," Sera chimed in sounding annoyed.

"Sera," Noah hushed.

"I know that it's your birthday and its supposed to be a happy day, but I like you," Sera said to Luna. "And my brother likes you." Sera added in that comment as though it doesn't matter as much as the first comment. She chuckled, followed by Luna. "My parents set my brother up with this girl and wants him to marry her. They are supposed to have marriage talks when he returns home."

'Set up with a girl? Marriage talks?' Luna's mind began to race.

"Call my brother," Sera encouraged. "I'm sure he would be happy to hear your voice."

"Yeah," Luna let out in a confused manner. The rest of the night passed in a blur. Luna spent the night overthinking about what Sera said about another girl and the 'marriage talks'. All of a sudden, being with Grayson seemed like a farfetched idea.

Her insecurities were creeping up on her again as she pulled the covers up to her chin. Millions of thoughts ran through her mind for what seemed like hours until she sat up in bed. She kicked aside the insecure thoughts and feelings; her mind becoming more clear. In place of those negative thoughts, she started thinking about all the people who she loves and loves her, the wonderful children that she had encountered and finally, herself.

'I am beautiful,' Luna told herself. And she believed it. It took her a while to realize her beauty, but she did, and she didn't need it to be confirmed by others; although, she still enjoyed hearing that she is beautiful.

Luna came to a conclusion while in bed that if Grayson decides to marry someone else, there's nothing she can do about it. Feelings change and she can't force them in one way or another. Although she would feel sad about the situation, the moment will pass and life goes on. Luna laid back down, her head resting on her fluffy pillow and breathed a sigh of relief.

'Whatever happens, happens. Everything will be okay.' The corner of Luna's lip turned up in a smile as her eyes closed. With a calmer mind, Luna slowly drifted off to sleep.
