Luna opened her eyes. The sun was out. It was morning. She turned her to the right to look at her clock. 6:58AM; two minutes before the alarm clock would go off, but she decided to close her eyes for two more minutes.

An image of Grayson wrapping his arms around her from behind, staring out into the ocean flashed behind Luna's closed eyelids. She quickly opened them in surprise. She felt a little embarrassed. 'Why did I dream of Grayson?' She was reminded of the dream she just woke up from. Sighing, she decided to get up; she wasn't going to be able to rest with the one remaining minute.

After getting ready, her phone rang. Luna wondered who could be calling her so early in the morning. she picked up her phone and saw that it was an unknown number. 'Should I answer it?' Luna tended to not answer unknown numbers, but she didn't think much about it this morning and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Luna?" A deep voice asked from the other line.

"Who is this?"

"It's Grayson."

Luna froze. 'Grayson?' She didn't say anything.

"Luna? Are you there?"

She snapped back to the moment. "Huh? Yeah?"

"I'm sorry, I asked Noah for your number without your permission."

"Oh. Okay?" 'What does he want?'

"I wanted to see if you had some time today to join me for lunch."

Again, Luna froze and just stood there. Did she hear him right? 'Lunch?' "Uhhh..."

"I would understand if you're busy."

"Uh, no. I'm not busy." Luna didn't know what she was saying.

"Okay. So I'll pick you up for lunch today?" Luna could hear the anticipation in his voice.

"Uh, yeah." Luna immediately realizes what she has just said and covers her mouth from doing anymore damage.

"I'll see you later then. Bye."

Luna slowly brought the phone down from her ear and looked at the screen. 'Did Grayson just ask me out on a date?' Luna's heart started racing. "No," Luna said to herself. She didn't want to get too excited about this and have her hopes up.

She does like Grayson, but she didn't even know him. When she is with him she could feel that it was "right", like in the dreams. Luna has had the same dream of the man in white hugging her from behind several times after meeting Grayson, but she didn't want to think too much about it. She took the dreams to be her wishful thinking manifesting; thus, she ignored them.

She dialed a number on the phone and brought it back up to her ear. The phone rang. "Naia?"

"Hey Luna! You're up so early!"

"I know. I'm sorry if I woke you." Luna's voice sounded a bit nervous and her friend noticed.

"What's wrong, Luna?" Naia asked in a serious tone.

Luna didn't say anything. She didn't know how to begin or if she should say anything yet either. "Grayson asked me out to lunch today." Luna just blurted it out. The line was quiet. "Naia?"

"Ahhh!!!" Naia squealed loudly through the phone. Luna pulled the phone away from her ear, making a scrunched up face from the loud noise. "Luna!"

"Oh my goodness," Luna whispered. She slowly and cautiously brought the phone back up to her ear.

"How did this happen?!" Naia was still being loud.

"I don't know." Luna honestly didn't know what brought about this morning's phone call from Grayson.

"I told you! I knew that it was either going to be Noah or Grayson. I guess it's Grayson then!" Naia laughed.

Was this funny? Luna didn't know how to react. After she got off the phone with Naia, Luna sat atop her bed and thought about what just happened. She needed to evaluate her feelings.

"Angel." Luna used her phone to call her sister. "So..." She didn't know how to go about the situation. "Do you remember Noah?"

"Yes, I do."

"Well, his friend Grayson just asked me to lunch."

"A lunch date?!" Angel asked excitedly. Now that she heard her sister say it out loud, Luna wasn't sure if it was a date or not. it could just simply be 'lunch'. Maybe Grayson needed someone to talk to. 'What about his best friend Noah?'

"I don't know. He just said lunch." Now Luna was even more confused. "I'm probably thinking into it too much. He probably just needs a friend to talk to."

"You're not friends though," Angel said matter-of-factly. "Why would he ask you and not Noah?"

"I don't know..."

"Okay Luna. Don't worry about it. If you want to know what the lunch is, just ask him when he picks you up." Angel sounded frustrated. "I don't understand this guessing game you younglings like to do, when all you've got to do is just express your intentions straightforwardly." Angel was frustrated.

"Okay Angel." Luna didn't want to get her sister all riled up early in the morning. "Thank you for the advice. I think I will ask Grayson." She hung up the phone after saying goodbye to Angel.

'Will I ask Grayson?' Luna wasn't so sure if she would have the courage to clarify with Grayson the reason behind this lunch appointment.
