Sean led Luna back into the house. Luna was still recovering from the scare. Grayson followed closely behind.

When Luna entered the house, she noticed that her father was home. "Dad!" She shouted out. Luna is about to turn 26 years old, but she is still her daddy's little girl. She found her dad in his office room and ran over to give him a hug.

"Woah-ho," Mr. Rose said, his voice restrained from the hug. He hugged her tightly back. "Is something the matter?"

"I just missed you." She pulled back from the hug.

"Mr. Rose," Sean interrupted from the door. "Mr. Grayson Diamond is here to see you."

Luna turned around. Mr. Rose glanced over to the door and saw Grayson. "Ah." He gestured for him to enter the room. "Come on in."

"I'll leave you two then," Luna said. She passed Grayson on the way out the room. 'I wonder what they're meeting about?' Sean closed the office room door behind Luna.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Sean asked.

"Yeah," Luna said reassuringly. She didn't want Sean to worry unnecessarily. She didn't want to let the fear overcome her. "I'm totally fine."

Luna went upstairs and got into the shower to take a rinse. After she finished, she came out to her room and checked her phone. She saw that she has a missed call from Noah. Her heart skipped a beat and she hesitated before returning the call. The phone is ringing. Luna's heart beat faster and faster.

"Hello?" A voice answered from the other line.

"Hi. Is this Noah?" Luna asked, her voice came out more soft than usual.

"Luna! I'm glad you returned my call." Luna smiled. "I wanted to ask if you would like to attend a party with me tonight?"

"Party?"

"Do you remember my friend Grayson?" Luna's eyes widened. Her heart continued beating fast. "He's throwing a party for the return of his younger sister."

"Oh, how sweet." Luna didn't mind going to a party, but she didn't know how she felt about going to a party Grayson will be hosting. "Can I give you an answer in a bit? I have to make sure I don't have anything else on my schedule."

"Of course! I understand if you can't make it because it is quite last minute, but I would love to have you there." Noah's words made her smile.

"I'll call you in a bit," Luna said. "Bye." She hung up the phone.

"What other plans do you have for tonight?" Grayson's voice asked, startling Luna, causing her to almost drop her phone. Luna whipped around, eyes wide open. She saw Grayson standing in her doorway.

"What are you doing up here?!" Luna asked, almost shouting. She remembered that she was still in just her bathrobe and immediately clutched it around her waist.

"I overheard your conversation with Noah. He asked you to attend my party tonight?"

"Yes. Please get out," Luna said crossing her arms in front of her. She was feeling so exposed; Grayson's dark eyes were piercing into hers.

"Oh," Grayson said ever so casually. "I'll wait." He stepped back from the door and closed it.

Luna rushed into a t-shirt and jeans. She hung the towel around her neck and stepped towards the door. "Hopefully he's gone," Luna whispered to herself. She opened her bedroom door and almost jumped back.

"I'm still here," Grayson said; leaning against the the wall next to the door on one shoulder and legs crossed at the ankles.

"You keep startling me!" Luna said out loud without realizing it. She laid her right hand over her fast-beating heart.

Grayson didn't seem to acknowledge her exclamation. "Why won't you be able to attend the party tonight?"

Luna was getting a bit annoyed by Grayson. "I never said I wasn't going. I told Noah I will look over my schedule and get back to him."

"So, will you be able to go?" If Grayson's voice wasn't so deep and calm, he would have been mistaken for an impatient child.

"I haven't looked yet. You interrupted me," Luna said bluntly. Grayson's phone started to ring. He took it out from his pocket and looked at who the caller was.

"I'll see you tonight," Grayson said and walked away and down the stairs. Luna just stood there in confusion and disbelief.
