Y/n's Pov

Angel and I walked to the bar. Don't judge me quite yet, I wasn't the biggest fan of going with the spider freak to some weird club, but Charlie and Vaggie told me to keep an eye on him since I was fairly close to him. I see a dim looking building with a fair line of people waiting at the door.

Angel quickly grabbed my wrist, saying "Will you hurry it up Y/n? We gotta get the best seats before anyone else does!" I was confused as to why he was so frantic to get in. Angel cut in the front of the line and showed the bouncer his wrist. He nodded and opened the door for us to enter. Angel dragged me to one of the front tabled closest to the stage.

"What's the big deal anyway? you never even told me why you wanted to come here in the first place." I asked.

Angel quickly answered, "Checkys playing tonight!" He said happily as he stared at the unlit stage.

"Who?" I asked. Angel looked at me with his jaw to the floor and wide eyes.

"You mean to tell me, you've never heard of Check? The black and white singer? Voice of an Angel body of a stud?!" He said with an astonished look. Of course, he would come here for some guy. I rolled my eyes. "No. That's why I asked."

before we could continue, a waiter walked up to us.

"Would you two like anything to eat or drink?" They asked. Before I could answer, Angel shook his head. "Nope, were hoping to get lucky tonight~" Clearly the waiter knew what that meant as he chuckled, whilst I sat cluelessly.

"Hoping checks got an eye for you? well, I wish you two the best of luck with that." They said as they walked off. Suddenly, the lights dimmed and a spotlight was set on the stage. The performance must be starting.

Checks Pov

I sat still as the staff dolled me up for my adoring crowd. I stared at my phone, looking at Instagram. I soon heard the familiar voice of my boss.

"ayy there's my best boy!" He said. I rolled my eyes at his gruff voice. He walked up to me and shook my hand. I wrinkled my nose as I smelled the amount of booze and cigars on this man.

"stay at least three feet away. Your breath smells god awful." I said in a blunt voice. He glared at me through his wide smile.

"Haha! You always have jokes dont you?!" I stared at him with a large bitter grin. "Now listen up Check, we got a big crowd out there right now. You can't fuck up now," I glared at him. "You really think that I would fuck up after years of performing at this bar you prick?" I asked with a glare that could kill.

A nervous sweat broke out on the man. "N-now now CHeck, we dont need a repeat of last time." He stuttered out. I rolled my eyes once again. Just as soon as I opened my mouth, one of the techs came in.

"Sir, its time for you to come to curtain." He said. I nodded and flipped my hair, walking away from my idiot boss.

Third persons pov

Check walked out from his dressing room backstage. He peeked from behind the curtain out into the crowd. He chuckled to himself. A full house. Just like last time. and the time before that, and the time before that. Though this time someone in the crowd had caught his eye. A certain (y/a) demon that sat at a front-row table. They sat by a fanboying over himself. He closed the curtain.

I grabbed the mic and stood in a pose. The curtains pulled back and the music started.

Narrators Pov

"When marimba rhythms start to play, dance with me, make me sway~" Check sang as he danced on the stage.

Angel fanboyed as he heard Checks angelic voice.

"Like a lazy ocean hug the shore, hold me close, sway me more~" Check took a side glance at the table with the spider and (y/a) demon at it, then smirked. Oh yes, he had a plan.

"Like a flower bending in the breeze, bend with me~ sway with ease." Check walked down the steps that were at the front of the stage, soon walking along with the tables.

"When we dance you have a way with me~ stay with me, sway with me~" Check caressed a woman's cheek as he sang the lyric, chuckling at her flustered state as he walked away back to the stage.

"other dancers may be on the floor, dear but my eyes will see only you~" he pointed to the crowd as they swooned over his voice, calm and endearing.

"Only you have that magic tenuiqe when we sway I go weak!" He dramatically, fell onto one of the empty chairs as he sang. getting back up and finally reaching the stage.

Check jumped up onto the bar table, bringing the mic with him as he danced along with it. The crowd cheered at the show.

"I can hear the sounds of violins, long before, it begins. make me thrill as only you know how. sway me smooth sway me now~" he jumped off the end of the table with the rhythm and music of the song, making his movements more smooth. he then pulled a young woman out of her seat and danced with her for a short while, before returning her to which she came. He then did the same with a handsome man.

"other dancers may be on the floor. dear, but my eyes will see only you. only you have that magic tenuiq. when we sway I go weak!" Check, once he got to the edge of the stage. jumped up at the spider and Y/a table, kneeling down to look at the y/a one.

he then jumped off. Plucking the y/a demon form their seat and dancing with them to the stage.

"I can hear the sounds of violins, long before, it begins~ Make me thrill as only you know how~ sway me smooth, sway e now~"

Check dipped Y/n and pulled her up, dancing them to the bar table.

"When marimba rhythms start to play, dance with me, make me sway~" They danced across the bar table, looking at each other in the eyes as they did so. It was as if there weren't many people staring at them. whether the stare e out of jealousy or admiration, it was like it wasn't there.

"Like a lazy ocean hug the shore, hold me close sway me more~" he stepped off of the bar table and twirled Y/n. He then danced her towards the stage.

" lie a flower bending in the breeze, bend with me sway with ease~" Unknown to check or Y/n, a jealous demon stuck their foot out. successfully tripping Y/n. However, before Y/n could hit the floor, Check swooped in, making it seem as though it was his nightly routine caught them. picking them up slightly and twirling them around.

"When you dance you have a way with me, stay with me, sway with ease~"

Check hadn't realized a slight blush growing on his face as he danced with Y/n and nor had Y/n. The smile they had on was too big to measure. check went wide-eyed as he saw the smile and soon smiled himself.

"When marimba starts to play! Hold me close make me sway! Like an ocean hug, the shore hold me close sway me more~" Check hadn't sung with that much passion in a long time. something about being with this demon made him feel, so... happy.

"like a flower bending in the breeze, bend with me! sway with ease~When you dance you have a way with me, sway with me, stay with me, sway with me~"

They hadn't realized but they had danced together for hours. The crowd roared as the song ended. Check took Y/n's hand and motioned them to bow with him. He swiftly returned them to their seat, but not without leaving a little gift. Check said goodbye to the crowd and retired to his dressing room.

Once Y/n had gotten over their daze, they finally heard Angel.

"Y/N! You lucky lucky demon you!!!!" Angel shook Y/n's shoulders and noticed them holding something. "did he give you something?" Angel asked.

Y/n looked down at their hand, smiling. Check had given them a small note.

Hello, love~ amazing dancing you're quite light on your feet. Wouldnt mind dancing with you again~ 348-935-395y

"no way he gave you his numbah'?!" Angel said in shock. Y/n smiled and nodded. 'guess I have a call to make~' they thought as they and Angel walked back to the hotel.
