"Easy Villains give me one point, Mediums give me two, Hards give me three and the big ass messy ones give me none" y/n repeated to herself, waiting patiently at the front of the sea of teenagers. The enormous doors in front of them were the only thing separating the anxious students from their exam.
Y/n slowly started counting on her fingers, estimating the amount of points she needed to pass and the easiest way to get there. She scratched the back of her head nervously as she looked behind her. She could hear the commotion behind her and sighed, knowing that if she didn't move fast she would probably get trampled on.
Her fingertips tingled lightly as she wiggled them.

It's been a while since I had an excuse to use my quirk was all that went through y/n's head at that moment. Not being allowed to use her quirk never let her explore her true potential even though her mother was very aware of the power that the shorter girl had in just the tips of her fingers.

"Y/n! Hey, y/n!" a voice cried out from a few rows behind.
Y/n laughed a little at the red haired boy jumping around. He had come looking for her every time they had gotten separated that day. Which was quite a lot of times.
It made her happy.
Y/n lifted her arm up in the air and started furiously waving it around.

"Over here!" and within a few seconds she was side by side with her exam buddy. That's what she was calling him anyway.

"Can't wait for these doors to open" Kirishima commented, putting a hand on his shoulder and turning his arm in a circular motion as if he were warming up.

Y/n simply nodded but Kirishima didn't mind her silence and the fact that he had the freedom to speak for both him and her. They weren't the only ones anxious and they knew as they could hear quite the commotion behind them. Y/n smiled at herself, forgetting for a moment about her having to use her quirk and having to figure out how to use it without hurting anyone in the process. The only thing separating her from her future were these enormous doors.

Wait she thought to herself, suddenly coming to a realization what if I- but before she could finish that thought, the ground beneath the excited students started to rumble, signalling the opening of the gates. Y/n knew better than to be trampled on so she sprinted forward, closely followed by Kirishima, who sent her a quick smirk before running off in his own direction.

This is it she told herself, curling her fingers towards her palm so she could crack the joints between them. Soon a blonde boy zoomed past her, a ray of bright light coming out of his belly button, causing an explosion behind him, making y/n laugh at the proud face he made. She noticed in a distance a boy jumping from robot to robot, massing up points easily. Suddenly she heard the roll of metal hitting concrete and turned to her left, just in time to see one of the robots halt right in front of her. She quickly spun in a circle but noticed that there was no one around, making it impossible to use her quirk.

Unless she resumed her thought from before I'm able to control something as big as that. That was her plan, gain control on this giant thing and use it to her advantage. She recognized the robot to be a 2 pointer thanks to its scorpion like shape.

"Alright it's just you and me" she told the robot as if it could understand her.

--

"What the hell is she doing?" Aizawa asked as he looked over the practical exam, noticing a girl riding on one of the robots' heads, a big smirk plastered on her face. Present Mic looked over, letting of a loud laugh.

"Y/n L/n, home-schooled by her mother. They call her quirk 'Spider', she can control physical bodies to her will thanks to the strings she produces from her body, although her file only spoke about people and small objects. She probably had no idea she could take control over something so big." he explained to his fellow colleague, noticing the small spark of interest that had appeared in his eye as he watched the girl run along.

"Reckless kid, if someone decides to attack that robot, she'll go down with it" Aizawa commented.

"Maybe so, but look at the scoreboard"

And with that, Aizawa kept silent for the rest of the exam, every now and then glancing over at the scoreboard.

Kirishima panted loudly as he tried to outrun one of the 0 point robots, knowing that fighting it wouldn't bring him any good. He looked behind him to see if he had escaped the big chunk of metal's sight, but it was still following, closing the space between them more and more with every passing second. Sweat ran down his face, his muscles trying to keep up with the rhythm they had been going at until now, but he could feel his legs practically begging for mercy.

"Need help with that?" a voice shouted, but before Kirishima could even turn to look, he felt the ground under him shiver as the robot collapsed, a big metal scorpion tail ramming into it repeatedly. He stopped and leant his body forward, his hands reaching his knees as he tried to catch his breath. Once he didn't feel as lightheaded as before, he turned towards the shattered robot and standing next to it was another metal giant. Only that this one had a girl standing on top of it.

"Y/n? What the hell was that?" he shouted up at her, his amazed gaze never leaving the scene in front of him.

"Let's just say that I found myself a sturdy stallion" she winked and with that she sped off, the big robot underneath her moving at a rather impressive speed towards a growing mass of smoke. Kirishima followed her with his eyes, but just as he was about to go his own way, he noticed the thin strings coming out of the girl's fingers reflecting the sun.

"So she controlled the enemy... with just the tip of her fingers? That's so....MANLY" he shouted and suddenly the fire in his eyes was lit once more. Y/n had just been the perfect inspiration for the boy to do even better.

Y/n laughed happily as she sped through the different streets. She had perfect control over this enormous metal beast and she felt powerful. By now she had powered through many so-called enemies and she stopped right in the middle of one of the bigger streets, ready to claim her last two points as time was running out. She sat on the robot's head.

"You have been a great companion to me through this practical exam, I thank you for your service, but it's now time for me to bid you goodbye and farewell" she told it as she dramatically patted it on the head. Y/n stood up once again and jumped down, simultaneously releasing the metal giant from her control, making it's objective go back to 'destroy everything'. Y/n's feet touched the ground and she smirked up to her opponent. Her strings moved around her viciously, almost like snakes as she decided what her next move was going to be.

Her quick thinking process was interrupted as the robot in front of her exploded in to many pieces, making her cover her face with arms. The pieces of metal cut through most of the clothing on her arms, a small trail of blood appearing and falling down her arms on the most significant cuts. She lowered her arms back to her sides, hissing at the burning she could feel on the surface of her skin.

"What the HELL was that?!" she shouted at the figure surrounded in smoke. She could see he turned towards her thanks to his silhouette.

"WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?" the low voice shouted back, jumping out of the dark smog that the person himself had produced, landing at y/n's feet. His face lifted towards her and his eyes glared angrily in to hers. He walked towards her and y/n could see he was about to say something else, but he stopped dead in his tracks.

Bakugo jumped down from the mess he had just created, ready to confront the girl that had just shouted at him. He lifted his head and looked for her gaze with his eyes and once he had it, he locked on.

What on EARTH is her problem he thought to himself as he approached her. He walked with slow, menacing steps, almost as if to intimidate the girl, but that didn't work. In fact she stood her ground defensively and suddenly a flash of recognition ran through Bakugo's head, making him stop in his tracks. He couldn't pinpoint an exact moment or name, but he knew that face, and that stare. He knew that defensive stance too. Who even is she? I don't know her he thought to himself, but as he was about to ask for a name, her hand shot up in to the air and pointed to something behind him high up. Bakugo spun around on his heel and followed the girl's finger to Izuku falling from the sky. He glared at the green haired boy and before he knew it, he sped off to where everything was happening.

Y/n also started running in that direction, having no idea what was happening but knowing damn well that kids falling from the sky wasn't part of the exam.

"Or at least I hope..." she muttered to herself.

The boy had already reached the ground once y/n reached the area where most of the students were collected and in that moment, the practical exam was declared over. Y/n looked over at the collapsed boy and suddenly her eyes widened, only now recognizing her childhood bestfriend.

"Izuku?"

--

Recovery Girl was sent in to the arena, a few other medics following behind as they attempted to gather all the injured in one area. Izuku was obviously the main concern, but he wasn't the only injured one. Y/n got in line with a few others to get checked up on, even though her cuts were nothing worrying.

"Alright dear come here" the small old lady told y/n and before the girl could react, the old woman planted a big kiss on her. It took y/n a second to realise why she had done that with no warning but quickly noticed the pain in her arms disappearing, making her smile happily towards the school nurse.

"Thank you" y/n said, bowing towards her.

"It's my pleasure dear, I hope to see you next time" she replied. Her focus turned back to Izuku, who y/n had her eyes glued on, shocked at the fact that her quirkless childhood best friend was even in the practical exam.

"How on earth did he get here?" she asked herself as she left.

"HONEY THE ENVELOPE IS HERE" m/n shouted loud enough for the entire neighbourhood to hear, making her daughter cover her ears because of the sheer volume. Y/n jumped up and ran downstairs.

It had been a week since the practical exams and the results were due any day at this point. Y/n had told her mother about how she had managed to control the huge metal beast and after receiving an hour long lecture about how reckless that was and how bad that could have gone, her mother finally gave in, crying and muttering about how proud she was of her baby. She had also mentioned meeting Kirishima, but regretted it as soon as her mother made her one and only comment, it being "I bet he was a piece of eye candy". Y/n at that point had mentally slapped herself and knew she wasn't going to mention anyone else for a while now.

"Are you excited spider monkey?" m/n asked, getting y/n to come back to the present. She nodded her head and took the envelope from her mother's hands, shakily tearing away the paper at the top, revealing a holographic message. The two women stood and watched the message play, but the only part that kept playing over and over in y/n's head was the voice saying 'you passed'.
