"BABY YOUR ENTRANCE EXAM IS TODAY" shouted a rather excited voice from the kitchen.

Y/n groaned as she turned over in her bed, the warm sheets more interesting than anything else in her life at that moment.
That was until she realized what entrance exam her mother was talking about.
It took her a few minutes, but as soon as she realized, her eyes shot open, frantically looking around the room for her alarm clock.
However she soon remembered that she had smashed it a few weeks ago after it had woken her up at 6 am on a Saturday. Unforgivable.

I better not be late y/n thought to herself, flopping her legs over the side of her bed and sliding her feet in to the soft slippers on the carpet under her feet.
She got up, stretching her arms over her head, making the bones in her spine and shoulders pop in to place.
Damn that felt nice y/n smiled to herself, gathering her neatly folded outfit and bag.

"What is taking her so long" m/n sighed, as she finished to cook the rice in the big pot in front of her. She poured a decent amount in the bowl on the counter and placed it on the table in front of the empty chair.
Soon after y/n appeared in the doorway, her hand stuck inside the blazer. She struggled for a minute, before finally buttoning up the last bits of her outfit and sitting at the table.

"Are you excited?" her mother asked, a big smile on her face as she watched her child vigorously stuff the rice down her mouth.
Y/n nodded, giving off a big smile.

"I know it's been hard, but I really do hope that you find your way" her mum continued, giving off a small laugh as she cleared a small grain of rice from her daughter's face.
"And no matter the result, I'm so proud of you spider monkey" she stated, lovingly stroking her daughter's cheek.

Y/n stopped for a moment.
She hasn't called me that in a while she smiled, remembering how her mum had started calling her that as soon as she had received her quirk.
She liked to call it "spider". Y/n knew she was capable of controlling other people's bodies using strings that would come out of her fingertips. However, she was also aware of the fact that the non flashy quirks weren't the most appreciated, even less if they relied on someone else paying the price for you to use your quirk. That's why everyone would state how her quirk seemed more the one of a villain rather than the one of a hero.

Y/n had tried making friends with kids her age, she had tried to befriend some of Izuku's friends from school, but somehow, every time she would go out, someone would start calling her a "villain" or would try to attack her, one way or another.
And y/n would use her quirk to protect herself, making her obtain various nicknames. Kids would get creative and invent some really messed up names.
That was the main reason for her mother keeping her home, not the fact that her quirk was uncontrollable.

However, now it was different. Y/n was older, the other kids had probably forgotten who she was. She had the possibility to reinvent herself, if U.A took her.

"I know mum, and thank you" y/n told her mother, giving her one last big smile before jumping up and running around the table to hug her.
"I love you" the now teenager said as she sped off to catch the bus to U.A, knowing that otherwise she would be late.
Y/n sat down in an empty seat near the window, watching the scenery change before her eyes as the bus made its way down the road.
I don't even remember what it's like to go to school y/n thought to herself, observing the kids getting off various stops in their uniforms through the reflection in the window.

The roads weren't particularly busy, the sky was pretty and many different birds flew about, dancing in sync with each other. There were a few white fluffy clouds around, but nothing that indicated the day going badly.
Yeah but no cloud is going to tell me shit about how my exam will go was all that could cross y/n's head in that moment.

"Next stop: UA High School" announced the mechanical voice coming from the bus speakers.
"I repeat, next stop: UA High School".
As soon as those words were spoken, the bus started bustling with different voices and movements.
Y/n got up from her seat, moving towards the exit to get ready to jump off.

"I am going to POWER THROUGH these exams!" shouted an excited voice from behind her.
Unless he doesn't want today's morning to become today's mourning, he better shut up y/n told herself, peering over her shoulder in an annoyed matter. Mornings weren't her thing. People who were loud in the mornings were even less her thing.
The boy who had spoken, or rather shouted, stood behind her, his eyes fixed on the outside, wide with excitement and his hand holding firmly on to the post. His hot red hair was spiked in most directions.

"UA exams?" y/n asked, her hair shifting as she turned to face him.

"Huh?" the boy with the red hair raised an eyebrow as he looked down towards the source of the voice.

"Are you participating in the UA entrance exams?" y/n asked again, as the bus driver opened the doors, letting the interested students off the bus.
Y/n made a small jump, landing on the ground right next to the bus, waiting for the loud guy to follow her.
He took a large step, ending up side by side next to her.

"Yeah, I have to find a way to use my quirk at it's MANLIEST" he answered, the words getting louder and more excited as he came towards the end of the sentence. He then raised his hand slowly before fist bumping the air.
Y/n chuckled quietly at the active boy, even though just a minute ago she was planning his funeral in her head for being so loud. However his energy and the way he just naturally fell in to conversation with her excused that side of him.

"What is your quirk anyway?" Y/n asked, curious. She hadn't seen many people showing off their quirks in real life, mostly because of her being in the house most of the time. She walked a little faster than she normally would to keep up the pace with the boy.
He turned his head towards her and grinned, exposing his almost shark like teeth.

"Hardening Quirk, let's me harden any part of my body and makes me pretty much unbreakable" he said, making y/n almost choke on her saliva.
Any part? she questioned herself, raising an eyebrow at the boy. However, he had obviously not realized what he had said, considering he continued with his chatting.
"However it's hard to show off, it's not very flashy" he stated, his grin faltering.
Y/n's lips twitched as she formed a small smile, coming to a halt. The red haired boy turned to her, a confused look crossing his face.

"My name's y/n l/n" she stated, sticking her hand out. She waited patiently for a reaction from her last minute company and soon received one.

"Kirishima Eijiro" he smiled as he took her smaller hand in his and shook it energetically.
The odd couple walked side by side, silence engulfing them for mere seconds before Kirishima spoke up once again.

"What about you? What's your quirk?" he asked, guessing she would be participating in the entrance exams as well. It was pretty obvious at this point.
Y/n kept her mouth shut, pondering if it was alright to tell him about her quirk. After a short pause she decided against it.

"I wouldn't want to give you any kind of advantage in the entrance exams, sorry" y/n stated but ending her sentence with a wink, using the exams as an excuse not to talk about it.

"Aw man, I didn't think of that!" the red haired boy complained, thinking that her excuse was actually something very clever. Y/n laughed it off before speeding up her pace. Kirishima and her could see the huge entrance, the great arch silently inviting everyone in.

"WE'RE HERE" Kirishima fist pumped the air, grabbing on to y/n and dragging her excitedly behind him.
Y/n watched the boy closely as he pulled her and at that moment she realized she really wished for both of them to pass the exam. Maybe even be in the same class. He was the precious type, so pure and easy to get along with, she would even put up with him being loud and excited every morning.

I might be jumping to conclusions here but he is the first person to treat me like a simple girl y/n thought to herself, settling with the idea that she really liked Kirishima.

--

"Woah" y/n breathed looking around the courtyard. It was packed with people and all of them seemed as excited and nervous as she was feeling on the inside.

"Hey, y/n!" Kirishima shouted, trying to get the girl's attention as they got separated by rows of people swarming to sign in.

"Yeah?" y/n shouted back, standing on her tip toes so she could at least see the boys hair sticking out from the crowd.

"I'll see you at the exams! Good luck girl!" he shouted, his voice getting further and further away as the crowd pushed him towards the school entrance, leaving her behind.
There was no need for y/n to respond out loud, she knew she had officially lost him for now.
Right back at you, you precious weirdo y/n told herself.

--

"Welcome! Welcome!" boomed a voice across the dimly lit room.
Y/n, who until now had been waiting for something to happen, her head heavily resting in her hand, opened her eyes. She immediately recognized Present Mic standing on the stage in front of everyone. He wore a big grin on his face as he stared at the school's maybe-future pupils.
As soon as he had everyone's attention he started explaining what the exam consisted in.
Practical and written were the two main parts of the exam. The first one seemed to spike interest in all of the present teenagers. Of course it was the best way to show off your quirk and that is exactly what everyone was aiming at.

This is going to be fun y/n thought to herself as she sunk deeper in to her chair, the idea of using her quirk in front of so many people making her anxiety rise up to alarming levels.
She slowly retreated in to her own mind bubble as Present Mic and a few students rambled on, trying to think back to all the hero videos she had watched with her mum and all the articles they had read of heroes using their "villainous" quirks in good ways.

It took y/n a few seconds to realize someone was shaking her. She blinked a few times coming back to reality.
The smiling red haired boy next to her smirked widely, a weird glint in his eye.
"Let's go" he stated, his determined gaze intensely fixed on the still seated girl. Y/n looked up at her newfound friend, his mental state quickly passing on to her and causing her to smile.

"Let's go".

This is the first official chapter i guess. If the words used in parts taken from the anime are different please bear with me, I'd rather write the same thing but with different words rather than re-write an already done text. BYE MY SWEET CHILDREN -Ali
