The next morning I got up around 5 am and went for a run around the Ranch. I have run this so much I've made a clear path.

I decided I'm not sleeping with people that I don't know. My hand is just as good as anything and it keeps me out of trouble.

I can't stop thinking about that waitress and felt for her for some reason. She was pretty but I couldn't see most of her face with her hair in the way.

After I finished my run I went in to shower and get ready for the day. I have a few horses on the Ranch to check and then another farmer that's close by asked if I would check his horse.

I'm the only farrier around so I make house calls often.

When I went into the stables Ryder was in there with dad. "Morning you two!"

"Hi, Uncle Hart!" Ryder smiled.

"What are you two doing?" I asked.

"Getting baskets to gather up eggs. Arent we Ryder?" Dad said.

"I was going to check on Apple's shoes and then I gotta go over to the neighbor's farm and check a few horses," I said.

"I'm proud of you Hart. How was the first night in your own place?" Dad asked.

"It was great dad." I smiled.

"Make sure you go in and grab a sausage biscuit before you head over to that farm." He said before walking out with Ryder.

I smiled when I saw Ryder he had on a belt with a toy gun in the holster. He acts just like me when I was a kid.

After I checked Apple's shoes I was heading out of the stables when Poppy was walking in.

"Morning Poppy!"

"Morning Hart! How are you?"

"I'm good! Was just checking Apple's shoes. What's up with you? You are glowing Poppy." I said.

She looked at me and made a face and I didn't think anything of it and as I was walking out the stables I turned around and looked at her. "Oh my god! Are you?"

"Am I what?" She smiles.

I walked over close to her and whispered... "Pregnant?"

"Shhh don't tell anyone but yes and I plan to tell it at Sunday dinner." She giggles.

"Congrats sis! I never dreamed you would have three kids but better you than me." I laugh.

"Thanks Love you, Hart!"

"Love you too Poppy," I said.

I walked up to the main house and grabbed a sausage biscuit to eat on the go.

When I got over to that farm I met the farmer outside and he took me out to his barn where he has three horses.

He left me with the horses and I checked their hooves and one really needed new shoes and the other two needed some adjustments.

It took me all morning to get those horses taken care of and instead of heading home for lunch, I decided I wanted to go back to that diner.

When I walked in I saw her right away and she smiled at me. I took a seat and looked at the menu.

When she walked over to my table I smiled at her. "Hi, there!"

"Hi again! Love the food that much?" She asked.

"Maybe." I smiled.

"What can I get you?" She asked.

"Umm, I'll take a cheeseburger with fries and a coke please," I said.

"Coming right up!" She said walking away and I couldn't help but watch her again.

It was getting busy in here and I recognized a few farmers and one walked up to me. "What are you doing in this place when you have Clara's food?"

"Just wanted something different plus I was out and missed lunch." I shrugged.

"How is your dad doing? Ranch running well?" He asked.

"Oh yeah, it's running smooth. You know how the Maverick's are." I smiled just as the waitress walked up with my food.

"Nice seeing you!" He said before walking away.

"Here you go! Anything else I can get you?" She asked.

"Just some ketchup please?" I smiled.

"Coming right up!" She smiled and walked behind the counter and then came back with some ketchup.

"Here you go and umm thanks again for that tip last night. You really didn't have to do that though." She said.

"It's not a problem. I know this job isn't easy." I said.

"Thanks again!" She said before walking away.

As I eat my meal I couldn't help but stare at her even though I tried not to. I looked at my watch and knew I needed to leave I have a tea party with Wren at 2 pm.

She walked over and handed me the check and I handed her a hundred-dollar bill.

I waited for her to come back with my change and when she did I turned around and placed it back in her hand.

"What's wrong? Did I count it wrong?" She asked.

"No you didn't count it wrong I just want you to have it," I said.

"No, I'm not taking your money again." She said trying to hand it back.

"No, I insist take it," I said.

"I don't even know your name but thank you!" She said.

"I'm Hart and your welcome," I said smiling at her before walking out to my jeep.

When I make it back to the Ranch I drive up to Poppy's and knock on the door.

"Uncle Hart!" Wren said grabbing onto my leg.

"Hey, Wrenbird are you ready for your tea party?" I asked.

"Yes, mommy has it ready for us." She smiled pulling me to the patio.

When I opened the door Poppy was out there with Ryder.

"Hey, guys! I'm ready for a tea party." I smiled at them.

"I was informed we aren't invited only you" Poppy laughed.

"Well, then Wrenbird get your pinky up and serve me a drink."

Wren giggled... "It's only Koolaid Uncle Hart."

"Well, I'll take some of that then." I winked at her.
