Monday morning after my first class, I had to forgo breakfast cause James had called me, saying he had something very important to tell me. And so after my first class, I waisted no time to go and meet him.

*

"Good morning, my artist!" James greeted me rather joyfully when I walked into his gallery.

"Good morning, James." I smiled, confused as he hugged me.

"I have good news my dear!"

"What's that??"

"I sold both your drawings!"

"Really?!"

"Yes! And that's not even the best part. The customers loved it! Five people proposed to buy both, all at the same time. They actually fought over your works!"

"No! Seriously?!" I asked, a huge grin on my face.

"Yes! It became an auction! I swear! The highest bidder was an eighteen year old girl. She bought both."

"Oh my gosh!"

"Instead of selling both at 300$ as planned, I sold both at 500$!"

"Omg!"

"A lot of people loved it. Trust me. And most were young women from about 18-24. They found your model freshly unique."

Way to go Lucas!

"Thank you so much!"

"Come."

He held my hand and led me into his office.

"I have a great proposition for you."

"Yes?"

"You make paintings for me, I sell them and we share half the benefits. What do you say?"

Yes!

"Yes!"

"Meaning I wouldn't have to buy them from you. I'll just take them and sell."

"Yes. I'm okay with it."

"Good but for now, since I bought the first paintings from you, I'll give you two hundred and keep three hundred."

"It's fine by me James. Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome. Here's your money. I expect more paintings and drawings after tomorrow."

"Sure! I can get that done."

God was clearly on my side!

Tired with the day's activities, I slowly walked down the campus's streets, heading for the frat quarters.

I'd always hated Mondays. I had no free class. My schedule and timetable were always full on Mondays.

I didn't even see Lucas when our last class had ended at seven. I wondered why he'd left class so fast.

Finally, I approached the beta house but I noticed someone sitting in front of the house with a huge bag. I tried to see who it was.

"Bish, where were you?? I've been sitting here since six!" I recognised the voice and my eyes widened.

"Yasmin?!"

"Yo!"

"Aaaaaah!"

I screamed, dropping my school bag. We ran towards each other and hugged.

"Girl, you came!"

"Yeah! My momma finally let me! You were right."

"Oh, oh, oh! Hold my phone and school bag, so I help you carry this big bag of yours!"

I happily picked her heavy bag up.

"You told the other chicks??"

"Don't worry. I asked the permission from Blaire and Lou in case you had to come. C'mon in!"

I opened the door and we entered the house. There was no one downstairs and so we went upstairs, happily chatting.

As we giggled and laughed while walking down the corridor towards my room, Lindsey, one of the girls of my group poked her head out of her room.

"Hey, Rahim. Who's that?" she asked.

"A friend of mine."

"Oh, okay. Cool." she smiled a little and turned to Yasmin, "Welcome."

"Thanks."

She closed her door. Yasmin looked at me.

"Is she an ass too?"

I laughed.

"No. No, she's not."

"Hm. Oki."

We Soon entered my room and of course, Yazz was surprised at how beautiful it was. She immediately made herself comfortable. We both changed into jean shorts and t-shirts.
I stood in front of a mirror to tie my hair into a ponytail when I heard Yasmin coo behind me.

"What is it?" I asked amused, not turning around.

"Ooou, What's going on with you and that Lucas kid?"

I turned to her. She had my phone in her hand.

"Nothing. Why?"

"He just sent you a text. He says, 'Sorry I didn't wait for you after the last class. I was so tired and needed sleep. I still am, though all sleep is gone now. Will you be going for supper? I will be. We'll surely meet.' "

Yasmin gave me a funny look and I laughed.

"He's just a pal. He's cool. And you know he's not my type."

"I know, babe. But he shouldn't hope. King is your soulmate."

"Totally. In an hour we're going for supper."

"Good. I'm hungry as hell."

*

Yasmin and I left for the cafeteria at eight. She admired the campus while we walked down the streets. I showed her the different frat houses and their names. I also showed her the amphitheatre block, class blocks, administrative buildings and the dormitories.

"This place is cool. Too bad I hate school. But it's the shit tho. It's big here."

"I know right. It's like a whole quarter on its own."

"Yup."

A group of cute freshmen boys walked by and Yasmin pinched me. I laughed.

"Hmm, they might be spoiled brats but they fine. I might decide to dig one." she laughed

"You're crazy, Yazz. You got a man."

"I know. But honestly, I don't plan on having a lil job to send cash to ma momma during these weeks."

"How will you proceed?"

"I'll just let this cute spoiled honies give me the money I need. With my charms!" she laughed and I joined her.

Yasmin was an all time flirt. She was able to seduce boys and get them to give her what she wanted, without having to date or even get physical with any of them.

"I trust ya. I draw and paint for a gallery. That's how I make some cash."

"Good for you, sweety pie. I'm proud of you."

We walked into the cafeteria and joined the long line.

"Seriously?? I'm dead hungry and we gotta wait??" Yasmin complained. I laughed.

"Don't worry. It's fast."

There were two lines. One for boys and the other for girls.

"Harl?"

"Yes."

"I'm going to the boys' line. Are you with me?" she asked. I laughed in surprise.

"Nope, girl. No way. I've been noticed enough in this school."

"Well, I'm about to get noticed too."

To my surprise and that of everyone, Yazz walked up to the other line. She didn't just join the line, she went over and stood in front of the first guy in line. The whole cafeteria fidgeted. Oh my gosh, Yazz was a case.

The guy in front of her, spoke to her and she replied. I wondered what they told each other but they ended up smiling and he let her stand in front of him. Yes! Way to go, Yazz! Way to go!
