*ALEXIS' POV*
The next morning, I woke up to go pick Aniyah up from Jacob's house.

I figured today I would let her stay home from school because today is her last day of school before Christmas break starts. They get three weeks off over here.

When I rang the doorbell, some girl who wasn't Maya or Aniyah opened the door.

"Uh, who are you and where's Jacob?"

"Who are YOU and why are you asking for my man?"

"Girl, I'm here to pick up my daughter. Where is Aniyah?"

"Oh, shit. I'm sorry.. Aniyah is still asleep. Jacob is in the shower. He was going to wake her up once he got out of the shower."

"No need to apologize. I'm just tired of Jacob having so many females around my daughter. He's going to make her so confused."

"So many? I thought I was the only one?"

"Unless he's changed. But when he was with me, it was cheating non stop. And before you, I've seen so many different females. My name is Alexis, by the way."

"Daisy is my name. I really hope that he DID change. Im so in love with this man."

"For your sake and my daughter's, I hope he did too."

"Alexis? What are you doing here? It's only seven thirty. I was going to wake Aniyah up and bring her to school."

Jacob came out to the front door, a towel wrapped around him covering his naked body.

"I decided I'm going to let her stay home today. It's the last day before Christmas break, and it's a half day. I was going to take her out to breakfast, and then go take her to the Rockefeller Center to see the tree afterwards."

"Oh. Aight, bet. I'll go wake her up right now."

Jacob then walked off and into his room, leaving me and Daisy alone again.

"Is he really THAT bad, though?"

Daisy questioned me in a whisper. I chuckled and nodded slightly.

"Yeahhh, kinda. Maya and I are basically the ones raising Aniyah. He can't even take on simple fatherly tasks without needed the help of one of us. He's basically a child stuck in a grown man's body. He never really grew up."

"Hi, mommy! I missed you!"

Aniyah jumped into my arms with her coat and boots on, along with her backpack on her. I smiled my brightest, kissing Aniyah on her forehead.

"Mommy missed you more, baby. I'm letting you stay home today. We're going out to eat with Alyssa and her son, Loyal. Then after that, we're going to take you guys to see the huge Christmas tree."

"Yay! I'm so excited! Let's go!"

"I'll see you around, Daisy. Bye, Jacob!"

I said as I held Aniyah's hand, walking away from Jacob's house and to my car.

Aniyah and Loyal are like best friends since Alyssa and I are. They're also classmates because they go to the same school, and in the same class.

"How was work last night, mommy? I missed you so much."

Aniyah said as she was sitting in her booster seat as I drove off. The little stuff like that just warms my heart. I don't know what I would do without my baby.

"Work was excellent, baby. I'm working nice and hard just for you. I have to finish your last bit of Christmas shopping. Mommy's almost done buying all your gifts."

Yeah, Aniyah already knows that the whole Santa Claus narrative isn't real. She caught Jacob and I one year putting all her gifts under the tree when she was supposed to be sleeping.

"I can't wait! I hope I got everything I asked for."

"Don't worry, mommy tried her best. We're gonna run home real quick so we can shower and get changed before we meet up with Alyssa and Loyal."

"Good, because daddy forgot to give me a bath last night. Titi Maya went to sleep early."

"Of course he did. Daddy forgets everything."

It took me about an hour to get myself and Aniyah ready for the day.

We met up with Alyssa and Loyal at a restaurant called Melba's.

We ordered everything we wanted and we started speaking amongst each other while Aniyah and Loyal colored on the kids menu they gave them.

"Do you know Jacob has ANOTHER girlfriend?"

"Girl, are you serious? Wasn't he just with Alicia like last month?"

"That's what I'm saying. Now he's with someone named Daisy."

"Your baby daddy runs through the whole damn alphabet of girls. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about my baby daddy. I mean, it would be GREAT to get some type of help with Loyal, but he's nothing but bad news anyways."

"Facts. Both you and Loyal are better off without his sorry ass."

Marco, Alyssa's baby father, insisted that Alyssa get an abortion as soon as he found out that she was pregnant with Loyal.

Alyssa told Marco that she wasn't, so he just bolted out of her life and never spoke to her again.

Sorry ass excuse of a father.

"How do you feel about Draco FINALLY not hovering over your neck anymore?"

"Wonderful. I can actually feel like I'm at peace without him being a weirdo. Thank god for that Queen girl."

I chuckled, taking a sip of my coffee. Alyssa laughed and nodded in agreement.

"Amen to that shit. When are you gonna find a new man?"

"Girl, I feel like I have no time for a man right now. I'm still trying to get Jacob to do his simple fatherly duties. All I need right now is me and my baby Aniyah. Just the two of us. And you?"

"I've been talking to this guy named Christian for the last two months. He's so sweet, and fine as hell. I think we might make things official soon."

"Oooh, sounds like you may be in love. Get it, Lyss."

"Maybe not in love just yet. But, I do like him, a whole lot."

"How does he feel about you being a stripper and having a kid?"

"That's the best part. It's like he accepts every single part of me. From the stripping to Loyal. It's a beautiful thing."

"Here is your food, everyone. I hope you enjoy."

The waiter came up to us, handing all four of us our correct orders of food.

Time to eat so we can go pay the Christmas tree a visit.
