"T-Taehyung?"

Jungkook barely mouthed the word.

"Kookie..." The elder's voice shook as the name slipped out through his lips.

Jungkook came back to his senses from the word and quickly straightened up, backing away from the other as far as he could go.

"Kookie?" Taehyung tried to touch the younger's face but his hand got a harsh slap which was somehow expected by him. He saw that coming from a mile away.

"W-Why are you even h-here?" Jungkook's voice cracked as he spoke, while hot tears stream down his lovely cheeks.

"Kookie, let me explain....please!!" Taehyung begged with so much hurt visible in his eyes. He took one step forward into the house but the other hold out his palm in a firm way.

"No, I don't wanna hear a single word from you." he retorted. "So get lost already."

"Please Kookie, let me talk with you for just 5 minutes. It's been so long since I saw you last time."

"Oh yeah? Then why did you leave? Why in the world did you wanna see my face again, huh? To make fun of me? Or-Or to enjoy seeing me in misery and satisfy your own pathetic self? Or are you here to destroy me once again?"

"I-I swear Kookie, I never wanted to hurt you. I loved you so much and still do. Just..Just give me a chance to explain everything, then if you want me to, I'll leave forever. I'd never come back, I promise. But please, for this one last time Kookie, let me talk. I honestly regret everything I did to you."

Jungkook seemed to be stuck between the thought of whether he should invite him inside or not. After some considering, he stepped aside.

"Come in" he called in a small voice. "B-But you have to get outta here, as soon as you're done with whatever lies you have in store to spit. Hyungie won't be pleased to see you here."

Taehyung nodded sadly and stepped inside the warm cozy cottage. He removed his thick coat and pulled it onto his lap after seating himself on the couch.

Jungkook didn't bother making coffee for him so he sat beside him, keeping a good space between them.

"Um..You must be wondering how I found you, right?" Taehyung asked softly, while eyeing the younger's large belly.

Jungkook didn't reply for the question as he kept fearing the thought of his hyungie arriving earlier. He wasn't sure about how the reaction of Jin would be, once he met with his ex-lover.

"Actually I live here, in Suncheon. We moved a f-few months ago."

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders to show that he didn't care much.

"Two days ago, I saw Jin hyung jogging along a road nearby. At first I thought I was mistaken but when I got more closer, I saw that definitely was him. A-And I secretly followed him back here, expecting to see y-you."

"And I don't wanna see you, okay?" Jungkook replied rudely but was careful enough not to make eye contact. He heard Taehyung sighing.

"I know, what I did was so damn wrong. It's unforgivable. B-But I had no other choice Kookie. I had no other choice than leaving you."

"I don't care if you realize it's wrong or not, not anymore. So keep the useless apologies to yourself, I'm not interested in listening to them."

"You knew I could've never taken the responsibility of a pregnant person, right? I was poor, I barely had three meals a day. My parents also needed extra care and medicine so I couldn't even think of buying pricy stuff you'll need in the process of giving birth to a child."

A sob escaped Jungkook's throat though he tried to swallow it.

"I'm sorry Kookie baby. I didn't wanna make you suffer by keeping you beside me. I could never afford the luxurious life you have now."

"Is that even the real reason?" Jungkook cried, unable to bear the pain. He was being fooled all the time so he didn't want to believe something that easily.

"Yes baby, please trust me. After leaving you, I spent countless nights awake, regretting what I did. I wanted so badly to come back for you but wasn't sure how to give you a comfortable life without money. So I moved here, in hope to escape from you and your family. I was attended to a high school here and right now I'm in the first grade of Suncheon uni, studying management. I also found a part time job where I receive a good salary so....I'm all good now."

Jungkook hummed in response, not even being happy for him. He had already tainted him and enjoying a blissful life so why bothering to care about such a moron?

"So, um...Did Jin hyung stayed with you all this time?" Taehyung asked, fidgeting with his fingers.

Jungkook nodded and prayed the god to make him a little late, once again.

"Oh...th-then do you guys... you know, having a relatio..."

"No" Jungkook answered shortly and mentally slapped himself for the stupid answer he gave. Now he'd think of him as a pathetic loner.

"Oh..." Taehyung sounded pretty much in relief.

"B-But he cares about me a lot. He never left my side, neither make me feel down. Jinnie hyung always tried to cheer me up and keep me safe."

"Hmm...I see." Taehyung nodded and scooted a little closer to the other with hesitation.

"Don't get me wrong Kookie but... since I'm economically alright now, would I be able to take you back? W-We'll get married soon a-and...."

"Stop right there!" Jungkook barked with annoyance. He didn't expect such a strong request from the coward in front of him. It's even more terrifying to hear him get straight to the point like that.

"Kookie, I promise..."

"You and your filthy promises! I'm so tried of them Taehyung. I'm not going anywhere with you, I'm not gonna fall for the same trap again. SO GET LOST BEFORE I CALL MY HYUNG!!!"

Taehyung took Jungkook's hand between his large ones and went on like,

"Please Kookie, let me show how much I still love you. I swear in the name of god, that I won't let you down. I would protect you with my whole life Kookie, please listen to me this one time..."

"No, No!!! Let go of me, you bastard!" Jungkook shouted, trying to pull his arm off from the other's grip.

"For Jin hyung!!"

Jungkook stopped thrashing around and looked into Taehyung's face as if to ask 'what the fuck'. Taking the chance, the older quickly went through the explanation he had on his mind.

"You know, your Jin hyung needs to have his own life too. It'll be a burden if he has to look after two persons whom are non-related to him, for the rest of his life. So let's have a family on our own, you, me and our baby. I'll give you all the love in the world Kookie, just like I promised you an year ago. Just give me a chance and you'll never regret it. Please!! I love you Kookie!! I'm so in love with you!!!"

Jungkook went silent for a second as he consider the Taehyung's particularly true idea. Even though he was in love with Jin hyung, nothing's gonna happen ever, that's for sure.

Jungkook remembered the night where he secretly listened to the conversation between Jin hyung and his mother from the passage way. Then the pile of photographs which were hidden under the cloth cupboard in Jin hyung's room.

All of them clearly showed that he isn't meant to lead a life with Jin hyung for a long time. He would be like a third wheeler or a used shoe at the end, where it would be too late to have another choice.

So going with Taehyung seemed to be an option, a better one. Which would give both him and Jin hyung peace in the mind.

Even though he had no love left for Taehyung but Jin.

"So what do you say, my Kookie?" Taehyung questioned softly, sensing the other's silence.

Jungkook heaved a shaky sigh and mumbled, "I'll come with you."

"Yes baby" Taehyung screeched in happiness and gave a quick kiss on the younger's cheek. "Thank you for trusting me. I've been waiting so long for this."

Jungkook didn't smiled nor answered. He was looking more paler because of the agony which kept eating his insides. He couldn't believe he himself is gonna leave his precious hyungie without any goodbye.

No, it can't end this way. At least he has to inform his hyung that he's gone.

"Let's pack some clothes for you baby."

Jungkook nodded, not even looking at Taehyung who had gotten up. He saw the other rushing into the shared bedroom, flipping the curtain aside.

Jungkook slowly got up and went over to the glass stool where Jin's laptop rested on top. He fetched the sticky note book beside it and took the pen between his shaky fingers.

He thought a while, for the best way to tell he's not arriving back which won't leave any hard feelings. And of course, it's hard.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook snapped his head back to see Taehyung with his large side bag, hanging over his shoulder.

"I-I was just trying to write something for hyungie." Jungkook reasoned half-heartedly.

"And then?" Taehyung questioned in an amused tone. "Lead him back to us?"

"N-No, I wasn't going to say where I'm going. It's just... It's so hard to leave things at this very point s-so...I wanted to say a proper goodbye."

Taehyung sighed and looked at his wrist watch. "Okay, suit yourself but hurry up. He'll be back in any minute now."

Jungkook scribbled down something shortly on the page and peal it off before sticking it on the laptop surface.

Then with Taehyung's help, he put on his wool coat and tied the muffler around his neck.

"Come on baby, let's get outta here."

Taehyung led Jungkook out of the house in a hurry and locked the door from outside. He knelt down to tie the laces of Jungkook's boots and once done, started to drag him along the snow covered ground.

Jungkook turned his head back to take the one last glance at the small cottage, which had given him so much memories. He suddenly felt like his heart's weighing thousand pounds.

He's so not ready for this.

"Goodbye hyungie!" he mumbled almost to himself as a tear drop escaped his eyes. "I won't forget you!"

(A/N: Next one's gonna keep you awake till midnight, I promise.)
