Things went smoothly for some more weeks.

After settling everything in the house properly, Jin left back for work while the younger stayed at home. At first it was hard for Jungkook to live in a house all alone for hours but day after day, he got used to it.

Jin directed him to some tutors via online, so in the day time he was occupied with the studies. The elder had to pay extra for them to keep the whole teaching as a secret but didn't mind 'cause Jungkook was overjoyed to return to his studies back.

But after the tutorial work ends, Jungkook becomes bored. He would like if Jin could be by his side all the time an give the affection a pregnant person usually needs but he knew that wasn't possible.

However, he was more than happy to see Jin back in the evening. Even though the older was hella tired somedays, he never forget to spare time for Jungkook at night. He would always ask about his day and even helps with the homework. Jin was careful not to let the other feel left out.

But peace isn't something that would remain for a long time. 'Cause it was broken one day, when Jin's mom called him on a Thursday night.

"Jin, what are those tales on news?" She snapped as soon as her son answered the call. "Why do they tell you've broken up with Namjoon?"

"Mama, what are you talking about?" Jin asked, clearly having no idea.

"Don't act like a baby!" she sounded angrier. "Your dad's freaking out right here."

"Can you explain what happened Mama?" Jin asked, rather impatiently.

"Watch the news for good lord's sake Jin!! This is a shame for our family."

A sudden electric spark ran through Jin's spine as he half understood what could've possibly happen. He put the call on hold and switched on the Tv. Then he rewound the late night news 'cause it was almost midnight.

He went through the headlines and gasped loudly as his eyes landed on the second one.

"The Chairman of famous Jeon Corp. breaks up with his fiance."

Jin didn't need any further details so he switched off the Tv and threw the remote onto the sofa. Gritting his teeth while cursing the Tv channels, he picked up his phone back.

"Mama, I'm sorr...."

"So it's true, huh?" Mrs.Kim shouted. "Why didn't you tell us? Was this marriage a joke to you?"

"Mama please listen to me." Jin begged, helplessly. "You don't know what happened between us. We broke up in the will of both of us."

"Do you expect me to believe that? Namjoon was so looking forward for this. He didn't say anything about a separation to us?"

"I-It was a sudden decision mama." Jin tried to explain. "W-We just realized we're not good enough for each other."

"What do you mean by not good enough?" she retorted. "You guys fit perfectly. We all thought so, specially your dad."

Jin became a little encouraged by his mother's lightened words so he went on like,

"I know mama but things became awkward between us lately, he told me that his past love has returned back to Korea from Spain and wanting to get back together. That was totally unexpected but I agreed right away 'cause I also didn't have any feelings for him. So the break up wasn't worthless exactly. What's the use of a relationship if we can't have feelings for each other, right mama?"

Mrs.Kim sighed from the other corner. "I don't know Jin. This is very....confusing. I can understand what you're saying but will your dad accept this? He's furious right now. Kim's family had never gone through such a situation in history so this's a humiliation for him ."

"I'm sorry mama, I can't force Joon into an unwanted marriage, now can I? Besides, I'm totally fine with it so there's no hard feelings."

"So this means, I'm gonna miss little Kookie too, aren't I?" Jin's mom sounded worried and that made a pang in his heart. Jin knew she also loved the cute being, just like him.

"M-Maybe..or maybe n-not. We can still be friends so..."

"Oh y-yeah, I get it Jin. Just being a little emotional, sorry. Kookie was my favorite."

'We have a lot in common Mama.' Jin thought but didn't voiced it. Instead, he repeated the request in desperate.

"Mama please, can you try to convince Papa that this marriage won't be successful? It would end up more humiliating than this, if we get divorced. So please mama, for me, for us.. Can you?"

"I'll try." Mrs.Kim agreed with hesitation. "But I can't guarantee you a good response from him, alright? He's mad, like so mad. It won't be easy to convince him so you better find another proper person to marry soon. At least he would calm down then. You hear me?"

Jin gulped down the lump in his throat before answering. "Y-Yeah"

"I'll try to find a suitable boy for you. If Namjoon's gonna start a new relationship so should you. Otherwise you'd look as the pathetic one in public eyes."

"Mama, give me some more time." he pleaded, afraid of her new demands. This is worst than breaking up with Joon.

"What more time? You're almost 25 now and  gotta settle down before we die."

"Mama!"

"I'm speaking the truth." she said in a serious tone. "I'll talk with your Papa. Maybe he might find you someone better. Ah...You remember papa's old friend Mr.Han? Well, his boy had just started to work in our company as a managing director. Such a talented kid. So if you would mind..."

"Mama, I'm fine. Good night, I'll call you later!"

Jin disconnected the line, scoffing in annoyance. Marriage is way out of his vocabulary right now.

He kept pacing back and forth across the room for some seconds and dialed a contact. He placed the phone near his ear, waiting nervously for the other to answer.

"Jinnie?" Namjoon's voiced echoed through the other side. "Is that really you?"

"Yeah, listen to me fuck face!!" Jin hissed, trying his best not to shout in case Jungkook might wake up from his sleep.

"If you think, spreading fire around the country would make me come back to you, then you're super wrong!! I-"

"Oh, so you saw that, baby?"

"Don't let me repeat this to you Namjoon! I. DON'T. BELONG. TO. YOU. ANYMORE. I hope you get that through your thick skull."

"I don't know what's wrong with you Jin. If Jungkook's not even important to his brother or his fucking boyfriend, then why does someone so unrelated like you care about him? Why?"

"I'm not gonna answer that. But you should know Jungkook's much more important to me than you, monster! He's my only priority now! I won't be leaving him at any cost."

Namjoon was going to speak something else but the younger disconnected the line and blocked the contact right away.

He was fuming with rage. How could someone be so irritating? Doesn't he deserve independency and peace? Not even after breaking up with him?

Jin was so drowned in his thoughts that he didn't saw the figure which disappeared into the darkness from the passage. It walked back to it's room and plopped down on the bed with a heavy heart.

"Good thing my Kookie's asleep when Mama called." Jin muttered to himself as he dropped onto the couch, clearly exhausted. "Or he'll be more worried over this."

Jin thought about what Namjoon asked from him lastly.

"Will it be okay if he guess I'm in love with his brother? I mean, it's his brother after all."

Flashback

"Jinnie, we're on a date!!" Namjoon whined leaning his head on the other's shoulder. "So why do you have to keep texting?"

"Sorry, it's Kookie actually." Jin replied taking his eyes off the screen. "I was sending him some photos we took."

"Who's Kookie?" Namjoon asked with curious eyes as he had never heard that name before.

Jin chuckled as he shook his head. "It's your brother, Jungkook. 'Kookie''s the nick name I gave him, isn't that cute?"

"Oh, yeah, I guess." Namjoon smiled and took a peek at the other's phone. "Wait, your home screen's a pic with him?"

"Yeah, I got it last week, when we were trynna bake a cake." Jin flashed a mad smile at his wallpaper. "He loves to make funny faces."

"Why don't you put a pic of us for the wallpaper?" Namjoon whined again as he pouted.

"My lock screen has us, see?" Jin chirped as he showed it to the older.

Namjoon wasn't very satisfied with what he saw but didn't try to oppose. Because never in his life he thought that his so called boyfriend could love his own brother.
