Summary
Sultan Selim Khan ruled over Ottoman Empire since 1588 until 1606. He had three wives: Dilara, Mahfiruz and Zeynep. Dilara was his legal wife, his Haseki Sultana, and with her he had two children, Osman and Handan. Mahfiruz was his second wife with which he had only a son Mehmed. Zeynep was his third wife which never became Sultana because she only gave a birth to a daughter Esmahan. When Sultan Selim died in 1606., his sons Osman and Mehmed started fighting for the throne. Osman was few years elder than Mehmed, so everyone excepted him to come on the throne. Dilara Sultan worked hard together with Kapudan Murad and Ali Suleyman Pasha to get her son Osman on the throne. But, Mehmed's mother Mahfiruz worked together with Iskender and they killed Osman, which made Mehmed new Ottoman Sultan.
