"I don't need you."

Waking up from the same old dream, you could only sigh deeply. It's been a month already, his presence continued to linger in the empty home you created together. By now you've gotten used to it, and his face began to become less clear in your mind.

"Just move on, he's gone now (F/n)."

"You know.. Everyone keeps telling me to move on, but why can't I be upset, why can't I just be sad? Is it so wrong to miss someone you once gave everything to?" You held the phone close to your cheek, "People don't just disappear from your thoughts. The way they smiled at you, the way they told you that they loved you, the way he left me. It all remains."

Tossing on your oversized t-shirt you slumped onto the couch and checked your phone.

Kuroo Tetsu~:
Hey, I'm coming over 'cause I'm bored, want any snacks or something?

You:
'Kay. Can you pick up some ice cream along the way, I've been craving :P

You were startled to hear a soft knock at your door.

'Already?'

"Hey! I thought I told you to go to the store—," you swung the door open to see someone you never thought you'd have to see again whipping your head to the side you bit your lip, "What are you doing here..?"

"(F/n), can we talk?" his voice, laced with doubt and fear of rejection. The voice you thought you had forgotten has become so clear. You hated that you found comfort in hearing it.

"There's nothing to talk about. If you want everything back, I'll give it to you, but please just leave after that—."

"You still have everything..?"

You sealed your lips shut. Why did you keep it though? Why couldn't you just throw it away? Donate it? Even burn the damn thing to let off some steam, but you kept it the attic of your home, "let me get it."

"No, I'm not here for that," he grabbed your wrist lightly, but immediately released you, "I want to say something to you."

"What, that you don't need me? Nothing new."

"Why can't you look at me?!" His voice broke.

You slowly raised your head to only be faced by the most broken expression you've ever seen. The fuzzy image of his face in your memories all came back to life. You never asked for this.

"I'm sorry, I... I don't know what I was thinking.. (F/n), I love you, I was a fool to think that I feel out of it, but being apart helped me realize how much I want you in my life. I don't deserve you, you're wonderful. So please, tell me everything's going to be alright," Tears welled up in his eyes, "I don't want to lose you, I don't think I could bare it if I saw you with someone else—."

"You left."

"..I'm sorry, but I'm here, right now."

"But you left," you balled up your hands into a fist, "That's a fact that will never change."

"I know."

"So, why are you even here?"

"I made a mistake! I love you..."

"Tch, 'I love you' just sounds so empty coming from you," clicking your tongue bitterly, you shook your head.

"Leaving you was the biggest mistake I've ever made. We can fix this, us... I know I'm not perfect, but I want to try."

"You act like getting back together is about us, and repairing our relationship. That you actually love me."

"What are you—."

"But really... it's really just about you! You need me to fill that empty hole in your heart, Yaku. You can't just come here and lie to me. Just say so, just say that you don't give a damn about me! You left. I'm not going to be your temporary solution."

"(F/n)," he sobbed.

'It's not my fault. It's NOT my fault. He has no right to cry. He left ME.' tears fell from your eyes as you watched the man you once loved crumble right before your eyes.

"When you left, it hurt.. Even when you show yourself now, it still hurts. And it hurts a lot. So please just leave. Just go. You're not ready to be in love. I was a fool to think you were," you spoke softly.

Without another word he lifted his head and smiled sadly towards his feet, "is that so."

Walking out of your driveway he noticed someone enter.

"Yaku?"

Bitting down on his lower lip he pushed pass the familiar tall male.

"Oh, Kuroo.. nice timing," you sniffed wiping away the remaining tears on your cheeks.

"What happen— I mean... is everything okay?" He looked over his shoulder then faced you; Obviously concerned about the situation that had just occurred.

"Nope, I hope you brought a lot of ice cream 'cause I'm really going to need it this time," you huffed, grabbing the bags out of his hands, you ushered him inside.

Since a few of you guys requested for a part 2, here you go!
Y'all didn't specify that it had to be a happy ending. Well, spending time with Kuroo really doesn't sound too bad though
