Running his fingers through his soft brown hair he sighed heavily. Zipping up his volleyball bag, he groggily walked out of the locker room and back into the gym.

He was relieved that it was Friday, and that he would be able to get the much needed rest from the long week. He had also planned to hang out with his girlfriend since he hadn't got the chance to in awhile and he missed you.

"Alright, I'm going to head out," Raising his hand limply as he headed towards the exit.

"Wait Oikawa-san! The team's going to eat out tonight you should join us!" One of his teammates called.

"Eh.. I'm exhausted, besides, (F/n)-chan is waiting for me," he stated turning back while smiling tiredly.

"Come one! Just treat yourself! Please? Just call (F/n) and tell her."

He was reluctant, but complied knowing that as the captain he believed it was only beneficial to bond with the team, "alright, let me call her first."

Oikawa pulled out his phone, but it died right when he turned it on.

"Crap, my phone died. Do any of you guys have her number?"

"Nope, you wouldn't let us."

"Makes sense, but how do I contact her now?"

"It should be fine right, she shouldn't worry too much right?" They asked walking out of the gym together.

"I hope so, it should be fine." He fumbled with his dead phone and placed it back into his pocket.

You sang your favorite song quietly to yourself as you laid on the sofa waiting for you're boyfriend to come home from practice. You looked at the clock and smiled knowing that in about ten minutes you'll be tackled by a breathless hug.

As time passed by you realized that you've went through your entire playlist and it's been thirty minutes since the time he should've been home by. You sat up and looked at your phone making sure you didn't miss a notification from him.

But nothing, no call or no text.

'Practice probably ran a bit later than usual,' you reassured yourself.

It's been an hour know and nothing has happened. Anxiety rushed through your body and your hands ran cold. He was never this late. You didn't want to seem like a worrywart, but you couldn't help it due to a past trauma. You had already called him several times and there was always no answer.

You scrolled through your contacts and called Iwazumi, "Hey, Iwazumi, were you at practice today?"

"Oh, (F/n)! Yeah, but I had to leave early. What's up?" He respondes over the phone.

"Oh no! It's alright. I'll talk to you later see ya!" You laughed nervously hanging up the phone not wanted to inconvenience him anymore.

You subconsciously but your nails and curled up on the couch waiting patiently.

Another hour has passed and you've called him countless of times. You shook uncontrollably. You felt hopeless not knowing what was happening. You're thoughts were filled with 'what if's'.

Deciding it was the last straw you slipped on your sandals and threw on your coat. Without thinking you ran back to the school to see if there was any sight of him or his teammates. But there was no one. The gates were locked and the gym was empty.

You tried to slow your breath but the anxiety was overwhelming making you feel a bit lightheaded. Not wanting to faint you slowly made your way back home. Opening the front door, there still wasn't anyone waiting for you. You shut the door behind you and slid down in defeat.

You hated the anticipation. You didn't want to wait another minute to not see him at the door. But to your surprise you heard footsteps approaching the door and a tired yawn on the other side. Scrambling to your feet you opened the door before he could and you met his eyes.

"(F/n)-chan!... (F/n)-chan..?"

Tears fell down your face uncontrollably as he stared back at you in concern. Running into his arms you embraced him tightly as you sobbed into his chest.

"Hey, hey.. What's wrong? Are you okay?" He dropped his bag and wrapped his arms around you in return while stroking your head gently.

"Don't do that to me! Are you okay?! I called you like a hundred times and you never answered! I told you about what happened in the past! I don't want to go through that ever again. What if you got hurt?! What if you died?! I wouldn't have known! I ran back to school and no one was there! Where were you?! I was waiting for so long Tooru! Why didn't you tell me you were going to be so late!" You muffled into his chest soaking his shirt with your tears.

It broke his heart to see how much stress he put you through. He felt guilty, especially for not remembering your past trauma. He held you tightly and kissed your temples, "I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm so sorry (F/n)-chan, the guys wanted to go eat out after practice and my phone died so I couldn't contact you. I shouldn't have assumed that you'd be okay. But, I promise I'm alright."

"No it's okay, I should be sorry. I feel so stupid for being like this I hate myself for this. It's such a burden for you."

"No, don't ever say that. I love everything about you I don't see what you've got to hate. In my eyes you're everything. You're perfect," He pulled way grinning at you like a child.

You laughed a bit and punched him playfully while wiping the tears from your face, "Shut up! Go take a shower, you stink."

"So mean (F/n)-chan!~" He whined pecking you on the forehead.

"Just go!!" You pouted ushering him towards the washroom.

"Alright alright!" He laughed while walking away.

"Hey Tooru?"

"Hm?"

"I love you too."
