"One more thing," Nishinoya darted to his room to get a long scarf that he rolled up with little to no effort.

"Geez.. Give it to me, it won't fit in the bag if you roll it up like that Yuu," you simply shook your head and grabbed the bundle from his hands.

"I don't want us to be late though!"

"It's still broad daylight out there. It doesn't start till the evening dummy," you tightly rolled the fabric into a neat burrito, "look, you have more room now!"

"Wahh! You're so smart (F/n)-chan!"

"Maybe if you used that smart brain of yours for things other than volleyball, you could be a genius," you snickered as you poked his forehead.

"H-hey! For your information, I got a 70% on my last test!" He hit his chest proudly.

"Well I'm glad your improving, let's do something fun once you get an 80% on your next test," you stated, "let's go to the festival now."

"You smell that?" He threw out his arm in front of you to stop you.

"Uhm.. Food..?"

"BEEF!" Whipping his head around, his eyes eyes were brighter than ever. "LET'S GO BABE, THERE'S PROBABLY MEAT SKEWERS! MAN I'M HUNGRY!"

"Slow down Yuu!! You're going to yank off my arm!" You yelled trying to keep up with him, "The food's not going to run away from you!"

'Although at this point it should.'

"Yo! I'll get 5 meat skewers please!" He smiled brightly at the cashier in the booth. "Hey (F/n)-chan, what do you want? I'll pay!"

"H-hold... on.. Let me catch my breath," you wheezed holding onto your knees.

"She'll get the same," he turned around impatiently and gave the money to the cashier along with his name.

"Seriously?! If we're going to run this much, there's no way I'm going to eat too much," you groaned, "I already feel like throwing up.."

"That's okay, just eat as much as you can, if you don't finish I'll finish for you," he hopped excitedly waiting for his order.

"An order for Nishinoya-san!"

"That's us! Wait here, I'll get it!" He reluctantly let go of your hand and ran back to the booth.

"A-are you Nishinoya-san?"

"Yep that's me!"

"You're that amazing libero on Karasuno's volleyball team!"

"Oh.. yeah."

"Wow! You're actually really cute! You think I could have your number? Maybe.. go on a date?" She flirted.

"I have a girlfriend," he replied sternly.

"Who cares? Might as well explore more options! She's not even here!"

"I came here to get our food. Not to cheat on someone I love. So if you don't mind doing your job, I'd like to get my food now," he stated coldly staring daggers at the women in front of him.

"What the hell.. w-whatever! Here," she gave him the bag and walked away from the counter.

He ran back to you to see you looking around at the rest of the booths.

"Oh, Yuu! What took so long?"

"It's nothing really, they just had to put our food in a bag," he smiled intertwining his hands with yours, "Let's find a spot to sit in the field area!"

"That was actually really good!" you tossed out the bag and plopped yourself next to your boyfriend on the large towel you spread onto the floor, "You okay?"

"Hm? Yeah I'm okay, actually I feel great," he inhaled the fresh air, "we really don't get to hang out much, but I love it when we do!"

"I see you everyday you dork."

"I mean like hang out, hang out! School and practice doesn't count!"

"Better than nothing, but yeah I enjoy this a lot more too," You leaned your head onto his shoulder.

"Hey! You have the stuff right, let's decorate our lanterns right now!" He opened up the kits they gave us and gave you your lantern, "how are you going to decorate yours babe?"

"Well I brought some stuff," you opened your bag and dumped out a bunch of markers and polaroids.

"I brought pictures of us too!" he hurriedly pulled out a large stack of photos of the two of you and the team he printed out the day before.

"Hey, I remember these!" you laughed, making his heart flutter in excitement as you flipped through the fond memories of you two, "you kept a lot of these."

"What are you writing?" he propped his head onto your shoulder to look at your lantern.

"You know, my grudges, regrets, you know, the deep dark stuff," you laughed it off.

"Why? Doesn't that make you feel sad?"

"Well, Since were letting these fly away anyways, I thought I'd be nice to let it go you know," you kissed his cheek and looked over to his lantern which was interesting to say the least.

On his lantern you could see the multicolored scribbles and sloppily pasted pictures on it

'ROLLING THUNDERR!'
'I'M THE BEST!'
'KARASUNO WILL WIN!'
'TSUKISHIMA IS A JERK'
'CALL ME YOUR SENPAI'

–we're written boldly onto his lantern. You giggled a bit after seeing the several arrows that pointed towards you.

'THIS IS MY GIRLFRIEND'
'(F/N)-CHAN IS THE BEST'
'I LOVE HER'
'SHE'S GORGEOUS'
'SHE'S INCREDIBLY SMART'
'I'M THE LUCKIEST MAN ON THIS EARTH'

"Chaotic, but I love it," you laughed, "Let's write on each others lantern!"

"Good idea!"

You looked at the long message that you managed to fit onto your lantern, "Okay, I'm done!"

"Me too, just one more thing!" he added a small heart next to his message to you.

"Your writing is so messy Yuu," you sighed as you traded his lantern with yours.

No matter what you may say about yourself, no matter how much you may belittle yourself, in my eyes, you're the most beautiful human I've ever met and that'll never change. It makes me sad that you think of yourself this way, but I'll do everything it takes to make sure you know that you're worth it! "(F/N)-CHAN!" The libero lunges towards you with tears in his eyes, "I LOVE YOU TOO!"

"Sorry, did I write too much on yours?" you ran your hand through his soft hair.

"I don't want to let go of this anymore," he grumbled, "Can't I keep the lantern?"

"That defeats the whole purpose of this event, if you manage to find it after letting it go then by all means go ahead."

"Bet."

"This is going to be a long night.."

"It's dark now! People are starting to light up their lanterns now!" He stood up to his feet and helped you up. "Let's start yours first!"

"Okay okay, calm down we don't need to be the first one," you grabbed the lighter and set up the lantern.

"Look people are starting to let them go! Hurry up!"

"Okay the flame is there, you're holding it right?" you held the edge of the lantern as you could feel Nishinoya behind you over lap his hands over yours, "Yeah, let's do it together."

When you both let go you could feel the lantern slowly float out of your hands and ascend into the night sky along with the many others.

"Let's do yours now!" You quickly set up his and lit it up.

The both of you watched as his lantern quickly caught up with yours and spun around each other. The view was breathtaking.

You could feel him wrap his arms around you from behind. Sure the view was great but he wanted admire the joy on your expression.

"You really do have good ideas (F/n).."

"Well.. If it's with you, I'd say it'd make any idea ten times better."

"Let's do this again."

"Yeah, for sure."

"Promise?"

"It's a promise."

"We have to shake on it babe."

"Geez... you're so persistent Yuu."

"Fine, we'll shake on it later!"

"Okay, okay!"

"Let's have a sleepover at my place! We can watch a late night movie!"

"It's so late though.. can't we just sleep?"

"Yeah I guess so.. wait, we have to find our lantern first remember?"

"Oh my god."
