Layla

It was now Monday morning, Landon had gone home around 2 am last night.

He messaged me telling me that he would be here at 8 to pick me up.

I did my usual morning routine, grabbing my black bag and packing my wallet and house keys.

I locked the front door and went to the sidewalk waiting for Landon.

A couple of minutes later his car comes into view as he stops at the curb.

Landon comes out of the car and I couldn't help but swoon at the sight.

He was wearing black ripped jeans with a simple black shirt that hugged his muscles tightly, and a black leather jacket to top it all off.

Typical bad boy.

I walked over to the car as Landon approached me.

I looked up at him, his usual emotional facade was on.

Without warning, I wrapped my arms around his neck taking in his embrace.

I inhaled his masculine scent that I've now become addicted to.

His arms wrapped around me instantly, his face buried in my neck as his hands rub my back soothingly.

"You okay?" He asks me as he moves away from my neck and faces me.

I nod my head smiling and kiss his cheek before letting go.

He opens the car door and I get in.

He strides over to his side and gets in before driving off.

The car ride was short as Landon had sped through all the traffic plus ran like two red lights.

Once we made it to school, we got out of the car and made our way to the front doors of the school.

All the attention was on us as we walked through the school doors.

I saw girls glare at me enviously some even standing up straighter and fixing their hair as Landon walks past them.

Once we made it to my locker, I opened it and started grabbing my books.

Landon leaned against the locker next to me as he glared at the wall in front of him.

Once I grabbed all my stuff I slammed the locker closed and turned to Landon.

He held his hand out for me to take and I took it as we walk towards my class.

Once we made Landon stopped in front of the door keeping me from going in.

I looked up at him confused but then was met with a pair of soft lips crashing against my mine.

I moved my lips against him as I tangled my hands in his hair.

His hand moved around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

Our lips moved against each other passionately though before we could go any deeper the school bell rang bringing us out of our moment.

Landon moved away from me and leant down to my ear.

"I'll see you later, Layla." He says huskily in my ear.

With that, he turns around and strides towards the back doors.

I stand there in utter shock.

A deep voice brings me out of my daze.

I turn around and see the one and only Matt.

He comes over to me and wraps his arm around my shoulder and walks us into the class.

"What's got you all flustered?" He asks as he takes a seat.

I sit down next to him and sigh.

"Landon," I say turning my head to him.

He laughs and wiggles his eyebrows.

"Y'all official?" He asks me as he takes his book out.

I smile at him as I feel my cheeks redden.

"Yeah, we are," I said quietly looking down at the ring he gave me.

"Aww, look at my little Lay all grown up." He gushes and pinches my cheek.

I slap his hand away just as the teacher scolds us.

One boring hour later and the torture ended.

I made it out of class with Matt as we said our goodbyes.

I walked my way over to my next class, with Landon on my mind.

This boy manages to invade my mind at all times.

Just the way he talked and the way he carried himself just made me fall for him more.

The way he treated me like I was the only girl in the world.

Never have I ever come across one person in my life to make me feel wanted or special as he does.

He made me feel like myself and had me feel things that I've never felt for anyone.

He was different, special even.

My thoughts get interrupted by something crashing into me.

I stumble back from the harsh hit, I close my eyes getting ready to hit the floor but strong arms wrap around my waist that kept me from falling.

My eyes snap open and are met with piercing blue eyes.

I watch as his eyes stare Intensely into mine, and I start getting a bit uncomfortable.

"Dante ?" I say.

He gets out of his daze and helps me stand up taking his arms off of me as soon as I was still.

"Thank you," I tell him sending him a smile.

His face remains cold as he nods his head.

"Welcome." He replies.

I smile again at him and turn to walk to my class only to realise that I was standing outside the class door.

I shrug and turn the doorknob walking into the classroom.

I go to the two free seats in the back, and take the one near the window.

My eyes snap to the door as I hear it slam against the wall.

I see Dante walk in and his eyes scan the room until they land on me.

He walks over to me and takes the seat next to me, he leans back in his seat and closes his eyes.

"I didn't know you were in this class." I mention.

He doesn't move nor opens his eyes as he replies.

"Because I never go to class." He says with no emotion.

"Oh. Why did you decide to come now?" I ask him.

He opens his eyes and stares down at me.

He shrugs and answers,

"I just felt like going." He says looking down at me.

I nod my head and straighten myself up.

The teacher then walks in and begins the class.

Throughout the class, I felt Dante's eyes on me.

I didn't get the usual butterflies as I did with Landon when he looked at me.

With Landon I felt a spark ignite in me, every touch, every word he spoke had an effect on me, physically and mentally.

The bell rang and I sighed in relief as it was lunchtime.

I gathered my things and stood up as Dante did the same.

We walked out together not saying a word.

We walked down the halls and through the crowd of students that erupted from classes.

"So you and Landon are together now." He states other than asking.

I glance at him and see his cold blue eyes glaring at the people in front of us.

"Um yeah, we are." I reply and start subconsciously playing with the necklace Landon got me.

Once we made it to the lunchroom I turned to Dante to say goodbye.

"See ya." I say waving my hand at him as I turn in the direction of my friends.

He nods at me not before noticing his eyes lingering on my lips before turning and waking off.

What was that?

I don't pay much notice to it as I go sit down with Violet and Eliot.

"Hey bitches!" I yell at them as I plop down next to Violet.

Eliot looks up from his phone and pulls his hand up into a fist.

I fist-bump him and Violet smiles at me.

"Now that the whole squad is here, I have some news." Violet says.

I snap my attention to her hearing how serious she was, Eliot seemed to have the same reaction as me too.

"So I've got a date tonight." She says and my jaw drops.

"What!" Eliot and I say at the same time.

"With who?" Eliot asks.

"Is he hot?" I ask.

"What time?" Eliot asks.

"Is he rich?" Eliot asks with a smirk which makes me frown at him.

"Shush, Let me speak people!" Violet says which makes us shut out mouths straight away.

"Okay, so he goes to school near where the beach party was that we went to a couple of months back. We sorta hooked up at the beach party, and I happened to run into him last night at the grocery store." Violet tells us.

I look at her with wide eyes then instantly pull her into a hug.

"Ahh, I'm so happy for you!" I say squeezing her.

She pats my back and laughs.

"Thanks, Lay I'm pretty excited, he's picking me up tonight." Violet says.

I let go of her and lean back in my seat.

Eliot high fives her and continues eating.

"I wanna meet him." He says looking at her sternly while chewing on his muffin.

Violet rolls her eyes and waves her hand at him dismissively.

"No. I don't want you scaring him off." She says.

Eliot scoffs and speaks,

"Violet your so dramatic, I just wanna meet him. Guy to guy." He says making motions with his hand.

"Sure," Violet says and continues eating.

I look at my two best friends and couldn't ask myself for better people in my life.

Lunch ended rather quickly much to my disappointment, and I was now on my way to history which was the class I had with Landon.

I haven't seen Landon today, other than this morning.

I walked through the doors and sat in my usual seat.

I leaned my head down on the desk and closed my eyes as tiredness started to hit me like a truck.

A couple of minutes go by and I hear the teacher start the lesson.

Not bothering to move I keep my eyes closed and rest.

The classroom door bursts open which sent me flying up from my position.

I saw the emo boy in the corner look at me weirdly and I looked away from him and turning my attention to the person who gave me a heart attack.

Only to see it was my boyfriend.

Boyfriend.

Damn, that sounds good.

Landon's eyes snap to me and he strides his way over to me keeping his eyes locked onto mine.

He sits down on the seat next to me, spreading his legs and leaning back in his seat.

His black hair falling in front of his silver eyes and his jaw ticking.

He's angry.

"What's wrong?" I ask him quietly.

He looks down at me and then glances back to the board.

His left hand then comes to my chair and moves it towards him filling up the space between us.

His arm comes around behind my chair as he relaxes in his seat as if the feeling of me being near him brought him comfort.

I stare at him blankly waiting for him to answer me.

Feeling my eyes on him he looks back down at me then rolls his eyes before leaning his head down to hear me speak.

"You didn't answer me," I say softly.

He stares at me blankly and goes to my ear.

"I'll tell you later." He says lowly.

I nod my head and he leans away and goes back to glaring at the board.

My eyes begin to drop again and I find myself leaning into Landon's chest.

I rest my head against his chest and close my eyes.

Soon enough I find myself falling into the darkness.
