Your POV
I'm new in town, and I'm lost. Just great. I don't know who to ask for directions but if whoever I ask might think I'm stupid. But, it's getting dark and I have no other choice.
"I guess I've gotta ask someone."
"Ask someone what?" I heard a voice from behind me. I swear I leapt three feet in the air.
"Sorry, I wasn't trying to scare you."
"It's fine." He's pretty cute. His light brown hair shinned in the sunlight. He smiled when I answered him. He's so perfect.
"So, what were you talking about?"
Shoot. He's gonna think I'm some idiot.
"Oh, uh, I'm afraid I got a little lost. But I'm fine I can find my way."
"I don't mind helping you if you need it."
"You sure?"
"Positive. Besides, what kind of person would I be if I let a pretty girl like you wander around here at night by her lonesome?" Did he just call me pretty? He called me pretty!
"Did you just call me pretty?" I have to make sure I'm not dreaming.
He rubbed the back of his neck and grinned at me. A little sheepishly.
"Yah. You really are beautiful."
Butterflies fluttered every time he spoke.
"Thanks. I don't hear that often."
"I thought you would hear it all the time." I could feel my face getting REALLY red.
"Well, if you really want to I could use a hand finding my way around."
"It would be my pleasure. Are you in any hurry to get home?"
"No..."
"Well, if you aren't than I have something else in mind."
What's he talking about? This is weird. It's like he's about to kidnap me or something.
"Would you like me to show you around and maybe catch a movie?"
He just asked me out!!! It's not like I'm gonna be in trouble for staying out late. My parents never care about me and I doubt would notice me getting in late.
"Sure. I'd love to. But you have to tell me your name first. "
"I'm Sodapop."
"It's very original. I love it." I doubt many people like his name but I really do like it. It's a waste of time to act like everyone else. It's creepy how everyone was pretty much the same in my old town. Boy was it weird.
"I had an original dad. I've got a brother named Ponyboy!"
"You really do have an original dad don't you? My dads to drunk to ever notice. But on the bright side I'm never in trouble if I stay out late." He seemed saddened to find out I had a drunk dad, but hid it pretty well.
"Did he give you that scar? I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be nosy or anything I just-"
"It's fine. And yah, he doesn't hit me a lot but one time I sorta mouthed off. I'm fine though."
I started thinking about that one night.
He started yelling at me. Me being an idiot, as usual, I mouthed back. He shoved me back into the wall. I was trapped. No way to escape. He was the drunkest (I dunno if that's a word but let's pretend it is) I've ever seen him. Not knowing how badly I was gonna get hurt was new to me at the time, and that scared the crap out of me.
"Well, you never told me your name."
"Ginny."
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Shall we?"
He stuck his arm out for me with a smirk.
"We shall." I giggled out. Why did I giggle? He's making me so nervous.

Hey guys! I want to make this into two parts instead of just one. I'm so excited and I'm in a huge Outsiders mood. Cause I'm gonna watch the outsiders in class!!! My teacher is the best and is SUPER fun. Stay gold y'all
