Song for this chapter: Imogen Heap-Hide and Seek.

Only one guy I know has a voice that deep and dark. It could only belong to the one and only, Hunter Jones.

''Get in the car Libby!'' He seethed through gritted teeth as he pushed me towards his car making me stumble slightly, but I quickly composed myself. I made eye contact with Grayson as he looked between a mixture of shocked and angry. I think he was shocked that Hunter pushed me.

Why would he care?

Hunter pushed Grayson's chest but he didn't even stumble or flinch. ''What you talking to my girl for'' Hunter cursed in a fit of anger. 'My girl' last time I checked, nothing was official between us.

''We were having a friendly conversation, nothing wrong with that'' Grayson barks back with confidence, making Hunter just get angrier and angrier as the seconds tick by.

I was watching the two of them stare at each other both with different looks apparent on their faces. Hunter looked as though he wanted to murder Grayson but Grayson didn't look one bit affected by Hunter's intimidating stare.

Hunter had his face nearly stuck on Grayson's but Grayson didn't seem affected by it at all, he looked like he hadn't a care in the world which surprised me to be honest. I thought he would cower away and never attempt to speak to me again but that is the exact opposite of what was going on right now.

''She's mine'' Hunter seethed. That was like a blow to the chest, again why does he speak of me like i'm some type of object?

''Last time I checked, she wasn't an object'' Grayson spoke back calmly but confidently, making Hunter roll his eyes.

It actually felt nice having someone stick up for me for once. I usually just tell someone to fuck off if they're about to because really I can look after myself. I've been doing it my whole life.

It happened so fast, that in a blink of an eye you would have missed it. Hunter raised his right arm and went to hit Grayson in the face but I calmly touched his arm pulling him back.

''Calm down'' I whispered into his ear. He looked over at me and those two words seemed to just push him over the edge. He looked around the car park to see if anyone was watching and before I knew it he raised his right arm once again and hit me in the face, sending me flying down on the cold, hard pavement.

I could feel blood pumping out from my nose and the strong metal taste in my mouth. He actually hit me? he never did that before, yes he had poked me and pulled my hair but that was as bad as it got until now.

Holding onto my cheek that I knew will soon form a bruise,I looked up and my eyes landed on Grayson looking so shocked as though he had seen a ghost.

Then in a blink of an eye without any warning or sign, he pounced on Hunter who looked proud for making my nose bleed.

My vision was dizzy as I tried standing on my two feet, my groceries luckily didn't end up all over the pavement, they were still in their bags but just dropped on the ground. When my vision cleared enough to where I could see everything that was happening in front of me, I was expecting to see Hunter attempting to break Grayson's God like face but that wasn't the sight that was in front of me.

The sight that was in front of me was one I never thought I would ever see. Hunter wasn't trying to break Grayson's face, it was the other way around.

Grayson had Hunter pinned down as he kept punching Hunter in the face throwing him into an unconscious state. I ran over to them, my heart racing, and pulled Grayson back. When I did, he was breathing heavy and wiped some blood away from his face. I couldn't look at Hunter without cringing, his left eye was already starting to bruise and blood was rushing from his nose as he lay there unconscious.

Hunter must have got a few swings in at Grayson as his eyebrow had a deep cut on it, but compared to the damage Grayson did on Hunter?.. it was nothing. He stood up and walked over to me, he looked down at me as though I might break.

''Are you okay, Libby?'' He asked gently. I wanted so badly to tell him I was and that I'd see him at school but I knew I would have to go back to my life and he would have to go back to his sooner or later.

People like him don't associate with people like me.

''God, I'm fine'' I snapped making him furrow his eyebrows together in confusion.

 ''Do you need hel-''.

''Fuck off and leave me alone'' I scoffed, rolling my eyes and let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding in.

''If you tell anyone about this'' I whispered angrily, ''I swear to god, you'll regret it''. He nodded his head and sighed before walking off I assume to his very expensive Mercedes car. Now I was left with an unconscious Hunter, what to do, what to do?  Hm, do I just leave him here like the trash he is or do I actually help him?

I know I would actually have to help him, if he found out I left him here, let's just say I would no longer have blood pumping through my veins.

I kicked him slightly to nudge him awake. He groaned before slowly opening his eyes, then stood up like nothing even happened, wiping the blood from his face with the sleeve of his jumper. Dickhead.

I had no clue what to say to him, well I did but if I said the words running through my mind right now, he would more than likely have me killed.

''Just get in the car'' he breathed out, and I rolled my eyes when he wasn't looking. I picked up my groceries and did what he said.

The first half of the ride to my house was extremely awkward and quiet. I wanted so badly to scream at him and tell him i'd never speak to him again, but I knew deep down I couldn't. He spoke up after a while, ''You going to the party tonight?''.

He's seriously asking if i'm going to a party tonight after he just hit me? I laughed sarcastically and didn't reply.

He let out a breath of anger, asking me one more time, ''Are you going to the party tonight?!''. He was no longer asking me calmly he was very stern and serious, wow i'm shaking my boots

''I don't know'' I muttered, looking out the window and seeing rain starting to hit off the window as we drove past a big statue at the start of my neighbourhood.

When we reached just the end of the street, he stopped the car and I happily got out, not wanting anything got to do with him. I walked rather quickly to my house, and walked inside. Usually I would see Gabriela in the living room watching a TV show on Disney channel but she wasn't, and Jackson? Well he's probably upstairs in his room.

When I walked into the kitchen to put the groceries away I nearly jumped out of my skin seeing Jackson when I turned on the light. ''Jesus! are you trying to kill me!'' I gasped trying to sound serious but then ended up laughing. I tend to laugh when I get scared.

He shook his head chuckling, then looked up at me his face dropped. What did I do?  he walked closer to me and examined my face. ''What happened?'' He asked in a caring big brother type of way. I didn't know what he was talking about until it hit me, I still had blood on my face.

''Oh yeah that'' I answered slowly. ''I fell on my way home, tripped over my laces'' I lied.

He seemed to believe me as he chuckled, ''Not surprised''.

I nodded my head and smiled as I walked over to the counter. ''Now tell me what really happened''. I turned around to face him as he crossed his arms waiting for me to tell him the truth.

I looked down nervously, then looked back up at him with no emotion on my face. ''Libby, you better not have got in another fight'' He breathed out, disappointed.

''It won't happen again'' I sighed, he nodded his head in a dismissing manner before walking out of the kitchen.

After putting the groceries away, I cleaned my face and asked where Gabriela was. I decided it was time to get ready for the party. I might as well go since Gabriela is in her friends house and Jackson is going to a different party.

I was in my bedroom with my clothes thrown all around the floor, searching for something to wear and that's when my eyes landed on a tight fitted little black dress at the back of my wardrobe.

Perfect.

After looking at myself in the mirror when I had the dress on, I couldn't help but think how good my body looked, I definitely lost some weight more than likely from the lack of food but anyways, I wasn't complaining.

I walked into the bathroom and did my makeup adding extra concealer under my eyes where Hunter had hit me. Happy with the results, I walked back into my bedroom to look for some heels. I don't have much heels since i'm more of a converse girl, but I think I know the perfect pair of heels to wear with that dress.

I took the unopened box from out under my bed and opened it revealing the high heels I saved up for a year to buy, they were plain black but had gold studs on the heel.

Plain but fierce just like me.
