maxverstappen1 : on my way!

I like Max's Instagram post and smile. Today is wednesday. I'm on my way home from school right now. I had classes till 11. Max will be in town around 12.30, and it's now 11.15. I'll be home at 11.30, so I have one hour to get ready. I am listening to music, trying to ignore the nervous feeling I am feeling right now. It's hard to ignore it. I'm nervous for literally everything, so also for this date. Is it a date ?

When I get home, I run to my room and open my closet. I don't wanna dress too fancy if it isn't a date, but I don't want to underdress if it is. I find a dark high waist skinny jeans that I quickly put on. I find a white crop top with a big bow on it and some black print. I grab a blazer and put it over it, to not show too much skin. I grab black high heels. I'm quite short, so I want to look a bit taller. I put my hair in a pony tail and put a bow in it as well, to match with my top. I put on some make-up, making smokey eyes.

I smile at myself in the mirror. I take a picture and send it in the groupchat.

I lock my phone and look at the time. 12.15. O my god. I grab my bag, put my wallet, keys and phone in it and some other stuff I never need and walk downstairs. My parents are both working, so I'm home alone. I have an older brother, but he doesn't live with us anymore.

I walk outside and to my car. I get in and put on some music and start driving towards the town.

I park my car and pay for parking. I told Max to park here as well, so I just wait in my car, with some music on. It's a parking lot, so not many people are walking here and I'm at the top level, so no one is here right now.

Another car drives up to where my car is and parks right next to me. I look at the car and see Max. He waves and I giggle. I get out of my car, after turning the music off. Max gets out as well and we both lock our cars.

"Hi" I say and he just smiles. He walks over to me and hugs me. I hug him back. After pulling away, Max looks me up and down.

"You look beautiful" he says. I look down, trying to hide my blush. I hear him chuckle.

"Don't look down, your eyes are too beautiful for that" he says, making me blush even more.

"Then don't say stuff like that, you're making me blush" I say and slowly look up. Max is smiling at me.

"Okay, I'll try not to" he says. I smile and nod. We start walking towards the exit of the car park and Max puts on sunglasses. Luckily, the weather is amazing, so it doesn't look weird that he is wearing sunglasses. He's wearing a cap as well, but not his usual Red Bull one. Halfway through walking towards the cafe, Max takes my hand. Okay, I guess this really is a date.

We sit down outside, across from each other. We both order something to drink.

"Okay, we should get to know each other" Max says. I nod and take a zip from my ice tea.

"Ask away" I say. Max nods and thinks about what to ask.

"Okay, quick fire questions, you need to answer the first thing that comes to mind. First question. Favorite colour?"

"Black actually or dark red" I say. Max nods and chuckles slightly.

"Favorite thing to do when you're home"

"Listening to some music, doing my nails, re-organising things in my room and watching TV shows" I answer, without thinking. Max smiles and nods.

"Watching TV shows is amazing, isn't it" he says. I nod.

"Do you have much time to watch shows?" I ask him.

"Sometimes. Like now, I have two weeks until Monaco, so I have some time home. But when I have races following each other, then it's like one day off and that's it, which can be stressfull and exhausting, but I wouldn't change it for the world" he says. I nod, understanding what he means.

"What are you doing, careerwise?" Max asks me.

"I graduate in 2 months and then I'm a flight attendent" I say. Max nods.

"That's cool. Do you have a job already or do you still need to find one?"

"Well, I did an internship a few months ago and they asked me to stay, so after school, I'll be working for them" I say.

"And that is were?"

"KLM" I say proudly. Max's eyes widen.

"That's amazing. So you're going to fly accross the world soon then?" I nod.

We talk a lot and laugh at each other's jokes. I'm really having a great time. It's already 6 P.M. and there hasn't been a moment where we're not talking or asking each other questions.

We talk about our youth and things we've gone through. I don't tell the really personal ones, but I tell some stories that more people know about me.

"I really like spending time with you" he suddenly says. I smile at him.

"Yea, I like spending time with you too" I say back.

"We should hang out more often" he says and I nod as answer.

"Are you free this weekend?" he asks me. I think about that. I can't remember having plans.

"I think I am" I say and Max get's a big smile on his face.

"Okay, give me your home address" he says. I frown, but give it anyway.

"Are you telling me why you need it?" I ask him. He shakes his head no. I raise an eyebrow but he just chuckles.

"Have patience" he tells me, which makes me raise my eyebrow again. He shakes his head while chuckling. I finally give in and smile at him.
