Bambi stood anxiously outside of her house waiting for her best friend Bria to arrive. Ali sat next to her licking his paws ignoring his anxious owner. Bambi couldn't even stand still she was so excited. She shifted from side to side waiting for the white Civic to pull into her driveway.

A few moments later the car came down the street. Barely putting the car in park Bria hopped out and they ran to each other. Bambi threw her arms around Bria hugging her tightly.

"I missed you so much" Bria pulled away wiping tears from her eyes.

"I know man, you look so pretty" Bambi pulled her in for another hug.

"I'm over here crying and shit, you know I missed your ass"

"Whatever get your shit and come inside. Rocky missed you" Bambi said laughing. Bria couldn't stand Rocky. She said he was too big to act the way he did.

"Man Rocky big ass bet not jump on me. I wish he acted like Ali" Bria said as she rubbed his head.

"Ali just a chill ass dog. Rocky just hyper"

"Hyper and big as hell"

"Whatever" Bambi watched as Bria turned her car off and grabbed her overnight bag before they walked into the house.

And sure as hell as soon as Bria walked in Rocky came running full speed to her. Barking and licking her toes.

"Bye Rocky" she said pushing him off her.

He whimpered looking up at Bria "only because you look cute" she rubbed his ears putting him back on ten.

"Ma Bria here!" Bambi yelled out and Lauren came walking out of her room soon after.

"Bria baby!" Lauren yelled as they hugged each other.

"You look good ma. Joe hitting that thing right" Bria slapped Lauren's butt.

Laughing Lauren began twerking "go best friend" Bambi yelled as she acted like she was throwing money.

"Yall so ghetto. Where is Diamond and the demon spawns?"

"They went to Walmart" Bria nodded as she headed to Bambi's room dropping her bag near the door.

"How was the drive?" Bambi asked Bria as she walked into her room, both dogs following her.

"It was long only because it started raining but other than that it was cool. I see your graduation party was a success" Bria pointed to all the cards and gifts that sat near her desk.

"Yeah it was. I got a good amount of money and people actually brought gifts I could use" she hopped onto the bed next to Bria.

"I'm still mad I couldn't make it"

"Girl it's cool. It wasn't even that serious to me but I let my family have their moment."

"It is that serious. It might not be a bachelor's just yet but you have a degree. That's more than what a lot of people have"

"You right I am blessed, I can't lie about that. Both of us are."

"What are you and Bria doing today?" Lauren asked Bambi as they both stood in the kitchen making their morning dose of coffee.

"Well since I only work a half day we're going to go apartment shopping and probably get some food" Bambi added a little more sugar in her mug before she stirred it and tightened the top.

"Okay well I'll see yall later" Lauren grabbed her things and was out the door.

Walking back into her room Bambi grabbed her favorite jacket and put it on over her scrubs. Just as she was putting on her watch Bria began to sit up in the bed.

"What time do you get off again?" she asked as she stretched her arms up over her head.

"1:30. So you can be ready, I'll probably just change into something simple" Bria nodded as she plopped back onto the bed.

"Cool I'll see you later" Bria said already on her way back to sleep. Laughing Bambi grabbed her bag making sure she had her keys before leaving.

"I gotta read this shit out loud" Bria said as she dramatically eyed the list Bambi had made. Bambi didn't even say anything as listened to Bria read the list aloud.

"Listen if you weren't my best friend I would be judging the hell out of you because of this shit" Bria said.

"Why number ten though?" Bria put the paper down on the table and sipped her lemonade. They were sitting in Chili's having lunch.

"Because I want to fall in love Bria, you have your man yall on some college sweetheart type shit while I'm over here lonely as shit."

"You can't go looking for love Bambi it has to come to you" Bambi wanted to be mad at Bria's words but she couldn't be. She was telling the truth. Bambi hadn't had a man since her high school boyfriend was killed only days after they graduated. Two and half years later and Bambi was still single as a dollar bill waiting for her man to come walking around the corner. Her and flip had potential but friends was where they belonged and other than him she hadn't had talked to any other dude.

"You right but let a bitch dream."

"Ima let you dream hoe but shit if you want that shit to come true you need to have realistic standards. Ain't no nigga in college got a job, his own place, and money to blow, a big dick, and a nice car."

"I bet I find him" Bria laughed and threw a fry at her best friend.

"Bitch I hope you do"

"Anyways enough with the list for now. I'm so ready to leave Bria you don't even understand"

"I do understand that's why your ass been watching college vlogs and dorm tours for the past six months" Bambi attempted to be salty but it wasn't even worth a try they both burst out laughing.

"You always judging me hoe, my room gone be cute though. I can't wait to get on campus and go to parties and see people stroll"

"Yeah that first week gone be lit like a bitch for real. I'm already planning my outfits" Bambi danced excitedly in her seat making the people around them look at her funny.

"For real?!"

"Hell yeah actually the first and second week. Than homecoming, girl it's going to be a problem. Plus Mac gets me into all the parties so we good"

"Its a wrap Bria, them hoes not gone be able to handle me" Bambi said fluffing her hair.

"Girl bye!"
