Bambi's leg bounced nervously as they all sat around waiting for Roland to arrive. Today she was going to announce who was the father. Instead of having to call each one of them separately Bambi asked if she could tell them all at once and they agreed.

Roland had left over night and was making the drive to Miami, but was taking longer than expected.

She knew the way she was going about announcing the news was kind of dramatic but Bambi knew she would feel better if she was able to tell them all to their faces. Since she had found out she was pregnant by a possibility of three men Bambi had envisioned the day going just like this. With the exception of Roland being over an hour late.

"Can we just open it" Diamond said anxiously.

"Please" Bria yelled over the facetime call Bambi had her on.

"Should I just open it?" Bambi asked her mama who shrugged. Everyone was anxious to know the news and the longer they waited on Roland the worse it got. 

Bambi's stomach was filled with butterflies because she wanted so bad for Nate to be the father. Bambi looked down at Lola who was looking right back at her before she took a deep breath and picked up the first envelope that was sitting on the coffee table. Since they were all tested at different times their results came in at different times too.

Her eyes caught with Flip's as she began to open the envelope. Soon he looked away from Bambi and put his attention on Lola.

She slipped the papers out and Flip's name was at the top. Slowly she read over the results and discreetly breathed a sigh of relief "she's not yours Flip."

Bambi watched Flip nod his head and stand up. It was obvious just by looking at him that he was feeling some type of way. "I'm sorry" she apologized feeling the need to.

"Its cool Bam, Nate I'll hit you later" they clapped hands before Flip left. Standing up she looked out the bay window in the living room to see Flip slamming his car door shut. He sat with his hands on the wheel for few moments before finally pulling off.

"I feel bad" Bambi said with her lip poked out as she sat back down. She honestly felt bad for having put him through that and she felt even worse knowing she was about to put someone else through it.

"Don't feel bad, we knew we would all have to find out sooner or later" Nate wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled Bambi close to him.

"I guess, let me just open the other two so this shit can be over."

Bambi picked up both envelopes just as her phone began to ring. "Ma hang up with Bria and answer that please."

The number on the phone wasn't saved and Bambi didn't feel like talking at the moment. Lauren picked up the phone and walked over by the door.

Pulling out the next results both her and Nate saw his name at the top. "It don't matter what it says Bam" he kissed her cheek and squeezed her a little.

Bambi held the paper in her hands just as her mother was hanging up the phone. At the same time as she was reading the results, Lauren blurted something out as well.

"Roland is dead."

"She's not Nate's."

Neither one of them noticed what the other said until they looked at each other. "What did you say ma?"

Bambi passed Lola to Nate and walked over to her mama. "Roland got into a car accident on his way here. His car flipped over five times, he died instantly."

Clutching her chest Bambi picked up the last envelope and the results broke her heart even more. Roland was indeed Lola's father and he would never know.
