"Kelso, you don't need to wear that stupid uniform everywhere you go." I told him as we were walking to the basement.

"But I like it! I look professional." Kelso smiled proudly. I just chuckled at him as we walked in the basement together, hand in hand. We weren't dating, more of just... a thing.

"Hey, check it out, guys. It's Sergeant Crossing Guard!" Hyde laughs at Kelso, "Rough day on the crosswalk, Sarge?"

"I'm not a crossing guard, Hyde. I'm a police officer in training. Read the badge." Kelso said in a moody tone. I patted his shoulder and sat next to Donna on the couch.

"You mean the paper name tag?" Eric asked.

"No. I mean my badge. This symbolizes all the authority of the Point Place police department. Oh, how'd it get ripped?" Kelso said as he looked at his sticker badge and paper name tag.

"Hey, your first case." Donna teased.

"Hey, guys. Leave him alone." I said and chuckled a bit.

"Ooh, gonna protect your little boyfriend?" Hyde teased me.

"He's not my boyfriend." I said to him.

"Well, get this. Tomorrow I get to go on a ride-along in a real police car. I get to see all the crime as it happens." Kelso bragged.

"Yeah, this town is a hotbed for criminal activity." Hyde said sarcastically.

"Hey, let's not forget the great ten-speed robbery of '74." Donna reminded Hyde.

"Damn, I wasn't here for that." I shook my head as Donna and I laughed.

"Remember the criminal mastermind who stole my mom's garden gnome? Let's not forget about that." Eric said like it was a big deal.

Jackie walks in all excited, yet very calm, "Guys, I have very exciting news. I'm in a mentor program for little girls, king of like a big sister thing. And there's someone here whose very anxious to meet you."

A little girl walks in and she already looks like trouble. Only because she looks like a little Jackie.

"Isn't she cute? I call her Little Jackie." Jackie smiled brightly. Yep. I was right.

"For the last freaking time, my name is Colette." The little girl says rudely to Jackie.

"I'm just trying to like her, she's just a little mouthy." Jackie said coldly.

"Aw, just like you, Jackie. Hey, Colette, if you keep that up, you will be a Little Jackie." I said and chuckled.

The little girl looked at me harshly.

"Jackie, why would you want to be a big sister?" Donna asked.

"Well, it's a community service project for school. It was either this or helping out at a senior center. And you know how gray hair gives me nightmares." Jackie explains.

"Can I leave now? There's nothing to do." Colette complains.

"Here, take these pictures of me and put them in order of cuteness from 'very cute' to 'it's just not fair she's so cute'." Jackie said and I rolled my eyes.

"Lame, lamer, lamest." Colette says as she flips through pictures.

"I like her." Hyde smiled.

"Yeah, me, too." Eric agreed.

"She's feisty!" Kelso laughed.

"Nice name tag. Are you a garbage man?" Colette asks and I can't help but laugh along with the others.

"It's a badge!" Kelso yelled.

~~

Kelso went on his ride-along today so I didn't have much to do. Donna came over to my house and we talked a bit.

"So, you and Kelso?" Donna asked.

"Well, I mean, kind of." I shrugged.

"What do you mean?" Donna looked at me.

"Well, I'm really just trying to give him some relationship advice and helping him with future relationships. I'm not really looking to actually fall for him." I explained to her.

"Ah. But don't you think that's unfair to Kelso? What if he falls for you?" Donna asks.

"It's Kelso. I'm sure he'll be fine." I chuckled and Donna did as well.

"Yeah, you're right." Donna nods.

We both hear police sirens and look out my window to see Fez and Laurie arguing. Kelso and a deputy come out and start questioning them. Donna and I laugh as we then go over to her house because Jackie was supposed to be going over to her house soon. Jackie and Jackie's "little sister" come over. Jackie attempts to give her a makeover but she refuses and asks for homework help instead. Jackie doesn't seem to be doing a good job at this whole big sister thing.

~~

I walked in the hub and saw Jackie, Donna, and Colette walking out. I heard the cop car outside leave and I swore I saw Fez and Hyde driving it.  Kelso runs out and yells.

"Kelso! You trusted them with your cop car?" I asked him.

"Well, I forgot the keys were in it." Kelso says bashfully.

"Ugh, okay. Fine. We'll take my van and try to find them." I said as Kelso nodded and followed me outside.

~~

After an hour or two of looking, we gave up and went to the Forman's. There it was, the cop car.

"Thank you, Penny." Kelso smiled.

"No problem." I smiled back.

"You're the best ever. Oh! We have our date tonight, remember?" Kelso said and I nodded at him.

"Yup. You're picking me up at 7, don't forget." I reminded him.

"I wouldn't ever. Okay, see you tonight." Kelso said and got in his cop car, driving off.

~~

It was 7 and I heard Kelso's van pull up. I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. I wore a long, white, floral dress with small pink flowers. My hair was in long, brown curls with some light makeup. I wore a pearl necklace and earrings.

I walked downstairs and saw Kelso standing at the door, laughing with my mother. I smiled at him and his jaw practically dropped to the floor.

"Wow, Penny. You- You look beautiful." Kelso said.

I blushed and chuckled, "Thanks, Kelso."

Kelso was wearing some brown corduroys with a random button up shirt. He took my hand and walked me to his van.

"Where are we going?" I asked Kelso.

"It's a surprise!" Kelso chuckled.

"Ugh." I complained and turned on the radio on and some Queen played.

I jammed out in his front seat and Kelso laughed.

~~

Kelso and I's dinner was very nice and we ended it by jamming in his van to some music. When we got to my house, we sat in his van for a moment.

"Penny." Kelso said as we sat there. I sat cross legged and faced him.

"Hmm?" I asked him.

"I- well. I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend." Kelso said as he glanced at me.

"Oh, well. I mean-"

Kelso kissed me softly, yet quickly.

"I was going to say yes." I smiled at him and kissed him, this time longer.

"Good." Kelso smiled.

"Thank you for tonight, Kelso. I had a really great night." I said as I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad you did. And thank you for a great night." Kelso said and kissed my cheek.

"Ah, well, I should probably go inside." I sighed out.

"You don't have to, you know." Kelso smirked at me.

"I know. But I should." I chuckled at him.

"Yeah." Kelso says softly.

A few moments pass and we just enjoy the peaceful silence.

"Well, I'm gonna head inside. Thank you, again." I smiled.

"No problem. Hey." Kelso said as I went to exit his van.

"Yeah?" I said as I looked back at him.

He kissed me again, "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Y-Yeah." I said as I blushed heavily.

"Bye, Penny."

"Goodbye, Michael."
